t seem to have problems with doxycycline, amoxicillin or clindamycin. Clindamycin destroys my stomach though. I avoid cipro and zithromax.

Alternatively, you can take clindamycin for the bv and drink a boat load of cranberry juice for the UTI and water of course. It will take longer to clear up the UTI but it should work. It did for me in a pinch. It just took a couple of extra days. Of course if you are diabetic you can't.
Ladies, tell me the truth is it me or its just this stupid ksjahqbskcidow bacterial vaginosis?!?!? Ugh I've had since I found out I'm pregnant! Took flagyl but I was allergic to I switched to clindamycin. I took that clindesse clindamycin vaginal cream, didn't work!!! Clindamycin HCl tablets for 7 days didn't work!!! Now they want me to take clindamycin HCl for 7 days again!!!??!!!!!! I'm sooooooo confused, frustrated, devastated, im cryinh and all mix nega emotions!!!!
I asked because some people take antibiotics long term for acne or other medical conditions and usually those types of antibiotics are not safe during pregnancy at all, let alone for extended periods of time. Most antibiotics are safe though and if your Dr is prescribing it for an infection than its best to take it as the benefits outweigh the risks.
In the time between my exposure and now I have experienced diarrhea, lack of appetite, weight loss, tinea versicolor, angular cheilitis, cystic acne, and what worries me most is now I have clustering folliculitis in my groin (I have never shaved down there) and non-clustering/sporadic folliculitis in my forearms and back of my hands (never had before). The folliculitis began after my 87 day test, the clindamycin given to me by my dermatologist is not improving the groin area.
I went to the dentist told them I was pregnant and they gave me a prescription for clindamycin for infection.. 2 days after I started taking it. I stared slightly bleeding and well I'm. Around 7 weeks pregnant and I've never had any spotting at all not even after my exams? I of course stopped the medicine yesterday but today I'm still spotting!!
Anyone else had this happen? Is this normal when taking this medicine?
has given me 10 days of clindamycin to be taken 3 times a day at a dose of 450 mgs. this is fine, i can take clindamycin with no ill effects.
HOWEVER, i have read that this drug is not commonly used to treat std's as there are so many better options. Is clindamycin going to work??? Thanks.
Hi I Was Recently Sick and Had To Begin taking an antibiotic called Clindamycin. Will I Be Okay To Drink Alcohol While On This Medication. I Have Read That This Antibiotic Doesn't Have Any Negative Affects While Drinking Alcohol. But Just Wanted To Double Check.

The redness on top of penis tip changes from bright red when erect to mildy red when relaxed. There is a bright red spot that is about 1mm in size that the redness on tip seems to emanate from. Doctors don't think much of the redness although it is not "normal" because it was not there before. Could this be HPV?
I have taken only 2 pills of clindamycin and now have a awfull gut ache so i quit taking it but the pain wont go away, is there anything to take.
ve never had a tooth extraction while having abscessing going on, and she said it was fine. Tooth was pulled and was sent home with an Rx of Clindamycin (150mg), 4xday. Infection got worse. Dentist, then used a lazer to open and drain the infected area. Several shots (7-8) of novacaine was needed to numb the area. After procedure, my mouth hurt and burned the worst that I've ever experienced before. The infection is still there.
Does anyone know if clindamycin HONESLTY affects birth control? I am on Yasmin. And if it does, would taking it for 1 day make me ovulate although I never missed any pills? We always use condoms, not just because of the antibiotics, and I am always afraid of pregnancy anyway. I have OCD so that's part of why, but I am so scared that I possible ovulated. I have checked my cervix everyday and it is in the same place and closed, but I'm still afraid that an egg slipped out or something.
Thank you so much for your response. May I also ask what length of time would I take the Biaxin? And is there any home treatment, Like garlic pills etc. that would help augment healing? ( since Biaxin is not considered the best treatment.) Although I'm stuck with that. And frankly, I was on the Clindamycin for weeks and that didn't get rid of the infection, so maybe a broad spectrum antibiotic will work for me. I sure hope so. thank you again for your advice.
