Topical Terbinafine cream did not help Dermatologist is now treating with Ketoconazole 2% shampoo and topical Clindamycin 1%. Maybe 10% improvement in two weeks.
I have had an itchy anus and vagina for about a month, it doesn't seem to be getting better. I can't walk, I can't sleep and it hurts so much. I am currently taking dalacin clindamycin phosphate but it has not helped at all. What is this? What can I do?
I was also given some topical treatments, including a benzoyl peroxide wash and ketoconazole shampoo (used a body wash) to alternate with every day, and clindamycin topical lotion which i did not see much improvement with. I even tried nasal mupiricin ointment because my doctor thought it was staph. I had a culture done and the results came back negative for s. aureus, beta-hemolytic streptococcus, and p. aeruginosa.
Iwent to a doctor to treat a acne outbreak and they prescribed a wide spectrum antibiotic, azithromycin, a topical cream, clindamycin and a moisturizing cream contain allantoin and panthenol, I'm on my second weak of treatment and ive noticed red dry painful areas on chin and side chin what could be the cause of this
Other than that other treatment options are clindamycin topical treatment, topical steroids, oral antibiotics and metronidazole cream. Treatment should be continued for several weeks. If this is unsuccessful then the other treatments mentioned above may be tried.

t want to scrub the area, use gentle fragrance free cleanser and gently wash the area. Scrubbing makes it worse. Here we have Accutane, clinidamycin topical, and other drugs. I also used neutorgena face wash then at bed salicylic acid gel or topical. You can use OXY 5 or 10 cream. I'm sure others will have plenty more to help you with. You can order on line except Accutane and Clindamycin require a prescription. There are some other new products I haven't tried.

Two months ago an itch began on the interior of my left thigh while wearing compression shorts at the gym. (I understand sometimes information may lead a doctor in the wrong direction, but it's worth noting I workout 4 times a week, and sometimes I wear my gym clothes on back-to-back days.
After seeing a dermatologist he prescribed me Doxycycline for 1 month and an ointment made of Clindamycin 2%, HC 1% in 80% h20 and 20% isopropanol. This ointment took away the red spots before I even started the anti biotics but once I ran out, the spots came back again...
I had a MRSA infection two months ago and was treated by a dermatologist and infectious disease doctor. The major symptoms went away like the boil I got, however I still get mild folliculitis on my face (one or two infected hairs). I've been applying topical clindamycin twice a day and cleaning my sheets and towels regularly but I still get some folliculitis. Is this normal and will it go away eventually?

However, persistent or recurring cases are likely to require treatment which depends on the type and severity of the infection. Over-the-counter pain medications such as ibuprofen or paracetamol may help. Oral antibiotic may also be prescribed to prevent infection.

Since they are severe, so systemic medications are usually required. The treatment consists of topical and oral antibiotics, tretinoin, oral contraceptives in females and Intralesional corticosteroid injections. Very severe cases may need excision and drainage. Also the treatment has to be taken for a long time so that relapses do not occur.
Antibacterial wash such as hexachlorophene and topical antibiotics such as erythromycin or clindamycin may provide relief. You may also try the following- Apply a warm compress to the affected area several times a day, avoid shaving, use antibacterial soap and over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream.
However, if severe (large area or multiple areas), your doctor may prescribe some oral antibiotics like cephalexin or erythromycin.

Generally topical clindamycin should do, and should one of these break out a culture and sensitivity test to identify potential organism could be attempted.

standard treatment of a stye in kids and adults is topical warm compresses (if possible) and antibiotic drops or ointments and as best you can cleaning the eye lids with an over the counter product such as Ocusoft Plus PLATINUM. If the pediatrician thought there was soft tissue infection (pre-septal cellulitis) then oral anitibiotics and careful follow up would be appropropriate.
hey its me Eddy Abraham i have some acne on my face like cystic .. my doctor suggest me a face wash cetaphile and he ask me to use (morning) Clindamycin and in the night retino a .25% .. can i use ahglow s for morning face wash and in the night cetaphile ?
Regretfully I stopped using it, and then an abcess formed under it, I continued with warm compresses to see if that would help and then he scratched it and lanced it himself- a foul stench and pus like fluid came out. now it is Easter weekend and can not get to a vet. I wonder what I can do to help him until I can get him to a vet. I put on the collar, he just wants out so bad and I wont let him. I have some clindamycin but not sure if that is an appropriate medication for a cat.
I stopped using this and visited the same dermatologist, who confirmed that the condition was in fact perioral dermatitis. She prescribed clindamycin topical gel and 4 weeks of minocycline oral antibiotics. My face very quickly got much worse and I think it was because I immediately stopped the steroid ointment and my face, having become "addicted" to the steroid, reacted and many fluid filled bumps occurred on my chin and around my mouth.
t seem to have problems with doxycycline, amoxicillin or clindamycin. Clindamycin destroys my stomach though. I avoid cipro and zithromax.
I've recently went to the doctor and was prescribed Doxycycline and Benzaclin a topical gel which consists of 1% clindamycin and 5% Benzoyl Peroxide it seems that its getting better, I just wanted to know what your opinion was on this?
I have 11 Cefprozil 500mg and 10 Clindamycin 150mg. Will these antibiotics help me? I've already begun drinking as much water as I can.
