clindamycin and lactation

t seem to have problems with doxycycline, amoxicillin or clindamycin. Clindamycin destroys my stomach though. I avoid cipro and zithromax.

I have spoken to my family in the UK and searched the internet and can nothing about taking milk based products and antibiotics together. Is this a German idea? Please can you offer some information.

Alternatively, you can take clindamycin for the bv and drink a boat load of cranberry juice for the UTI and water of course. It will take longer to clear up the UTI but it should work. It did for me in a pinch. It just took a couple of extra days. Of course if you are diabetic you can't.

has given me 10 days of clindamycin to be taken 3 times a day at a dose of 450 mgs. this is fine, i can take clindamycin with no ill effects. HOWEVER, i have read that this drug is not commonly used to treat std's as there are so many better options. Is clindamycin going to work??? Thanks.

i did take a test a few days ago and there was a faint line, and i took one again today and its still a very very faint line. and im curious about the lactation, i have three children and have had two m/c in the past 6 months. is it possable that this would cause early lactation? i do know its possable to have your bbs leak even when your not pregnant but coupled with all my other symptoms, im finding it very coincidental. when i miscarried in nov.

I am 27 yrs old and pregnant with my second child. I am 28 weeks along and by this time in my first pregnancy I was leaking (or lactating) and so far with this pregnancy I have yet to start leaking/lactating. Is this ok or normal? well u can take pills to help ull have to ask ur doc and pumping before and after each feeding may help! my milk decreased from not pumping and useing a nipleshield and i never got it back to were it had been but it was enuff ! just talk to ur doctor..

t actually experienced any actual lactation, however my doctor did notice that my prolactin was elevated which is what would cause the benign tumor and lactation. My doctor had me do an MRI and it also came back clear. From what I have read, it is possible to experience elevated prolactin even without the tumor. Do you know what your prolactin level was at?

You generally don't produce milk until typically 2-5 days post partum. It's possible to produce colostrum while pregnant. Some women leak and some don't. You could try to manually express some to see if you have any if you're really concerned.
