yeah thats good advice ladypuffect you will be in alot of pain from them extractions im a dental nurse and have seen the effects of one wisdom tooth extracted not alone 4, ibuprofen (cut the dose by half if can 400mg ) and anti biotic are the best things to be taken like mhh9 says with yogurts if you do feel so bad with all the meds see your doc/dentist immediately x
m taking hydrocodone every 4-5 hours and ibuprofen every 6 hours, amoxicillin 3x/day and an oral mouth rinse 3x/day. He says everything looks like it's healing well, but I can't stand the pain! I go back again Thursday and he said he would give me something stronger if I"m still in pain. Has anyone else had any issues with this? I can't sleep, I can't talk long without pain, and I've been in bed most of the 5 days after surgery.
t seem to have problems with doxycycline, amoxicillin or clindamycin. Clindamycin destroys my stomach though. I avoid cipro and zithromax.
the pressure from the abscess has pushed the infection down into soft tissue and most likely infected the saliva glands (thus the swollen cheek) ibuprofen will help pain and some inflamation but the infection MUST be treated with antibiotics or it could spread to your neck, throat, or bloodstream and become life threatening. antibiotics are the only thing that will help these infections.
Alternatively, you can take clindamycin for the bv and drink a boat load of cranberry juice for the UTI and water of course. It will take longer to clear up the UTI but it should work. It did for me in a pinch. It just took a couple of extra days. Of course if you are diabetic you can't.
Self-care measures, such as warm compresses and topical medications, can help relieve the symptoms. However, persistent or recurring cases are likely to require treatment which depends on the type and severity of the infection. Over-the-counter pain medications such as ibuprofen or paracetamol may help. Oral antibiotic may also be prescribed to prevent infection.

I got my 4 wisdom teeth pulled out the 6th of May. They perscribed 800MG of ibuprofen, 5-325 of Vicodin, and 150MG of clindamycin. I've only just stopped taking all these meds today the 12th because I found out just yesterday I had dry socket from the 3 day post sugery so I needed to take away the pain. My period was due the 14th but I got it the 11th yesterday. It started with a little spotting then full on heavy.
has given me 10 days of clindamycin to be taken 3 times a day at a dose of 450 mgs. this is fine, i can take clindamycin with no ill effects.
HOWEVER, i have read that this drug is not commonly used to treat std's as there are so many better options. Is clindamycin going to work??? Thanks.
Hi I Was Recently Sick and Had To Begin taking an antibiotic called Clindamycin. Will I Be Okay To Drink Alcohol While On This Medication. I Have Read That This Antibiotic Doesn't Have Any Negative Affects While Drinking Alcohol. But Just Wanted To Double Check.

Hi. I had a lower wisdom tooth removed on the 1st of April. It was fairly complicated lying on it's side, gum had to be cut and bone chiseled away to access the tooth which was then cut in to 4 pieces and removed then stitched up. On the 2nd day after the procedure I got dry socket. The most immense pain I've ever felt throbbing down my jaw line from my ear. Pain killers didn't even touch it. I've since had it packed 4 times and the stiches removed.
i have a swollen face and lip on the left side of my face. i went to the er yesterday morning and they gave me clindamycin hcl 150 mg and ibuprofen 800 mg along with oxycodone apap5-325mg.
Ive had an infection in my mouth from my wisdom teeth for a little over a week now and yesterday my dentist prescribed me Clindamycin. 300 mg. I have taken 4 capsules since then, and it just now dawned on me that I might not be able to find out if I had gotten syphillis from that girl. Is it too late and should I be worried I might have gotten syphillis and given it to my ex even after a negative test at 5 weeks?

I am currently in th eprocess of getting 24 crowns done (8 top, 16 bottom) as a part of a mouth reconstruction. Partly for cosmetic reasons but mainly because my teeth were very worn down and somewhat crooked and stained.
Anyway, I had the first top 8 done sept 4th and I was in terrible pain afterwards for about 2 weeks before it settled down.
I had the bottom left 8 done Oct 1st and now nearly 4 weeks later, I am still in constant pain.
It is now 5 days taking benadryl and the hives and itching have not stopped. What is in the clindamycin that I may be allergic to?
I recently went to the dentist to have my teeth cleaned and have some minor fillings touched up. Since this visit; a neighboring tooth that has had a root canal and a crown . I have clindamycin 300 mg, can I safely double up todays med intake. To be painfree for Christmas plans tomorrow??
Prescribed ofloxacin, desonide and clindamycin with no results. Currently halfway through doxycline two week course and showing no real changes.
The redness on top of penis tip changes from bright red when erect to mildy red when relaxed. There is a bright red spot that is about 1mm in size that the redness on tip seems to emanate from. Doctors don't think much of the redness although it is not "normal" because it was not there before. Could this be HPV?
Within 24 hours the bite on my arm was extremely painful, swollen and had two bright red, hard and painful streaks running from the bite on my forearm to my armpit. When I got in to see the doctor, my blood pressure was elevated, I had a slight fever, my arm was alternating between feeling numb, burning, and having muscle cramps. He prescribed me 300mg of clindamycin every 6 hours for 10 days. The infection seems to be gone, with only mild redness remaining.
Dr just came in and said well...you probably need a root canal and gave me and RX for vicodin and Clindamycin. Pain did get better over the weekend however now the lower teeth, are hurting as well as my lower jaw. Tylenol and Ibuprofen help but pain is still there when it wears off. Could the crowned tooth be higher than the other teeth causing it to put more pressure on the ones below?
ve never had a tooth extraction while having abscessing going on, and she said it was fine. Tooth was pulled and was sent home with an Rx of Clindamycin (150mg), 4xday. Infection got worse. Dentist, then used a lazer to open and drain the infected area. Several shots (7-8) of novacaine was needed to numb the area. After procedure, my mouth hurt and burned the worst that I've ever experienced before. The infection is still there.

I have a massive period ache , therefore I took 1100 mg of ibuprofen . At first I had taken 500 mg tablet but it's been an hour and a half and it did not help , so I took an other tablet of ibuprofen of 600 mg .
The pain is gone but I feel very tired , can I be harmed or die out of it ?
Should I ask for help ? Or has anybody been familiar with it ? Please help me , I am a hypochondriac person and I also have OCD and use Prozac .
