I have also tried topical treatment like Fucidin, Mupirocin, clindamycin and gentamicin. I have tried hot compress on the scalp which gives only temporary relief of symptoms. I am also getting folliculitis of the beard area .Current symptoms include pustules all over the scalp and severe pain of the hair root area (prevents me from putting head on pillow and combing hair) .I have had 1 culture of the pustule done in India which showed that the organism was staphylococcus.
Help me I had a skin culture done for Bacteria and it came back with
1) Klebsiella pneumoniae ( HEAVY GROWTH )
2) Escherichia coli ( HEAVY GROWTH )
Now I have taken Augmentin xr for 2 wks along with Gentamicin ont no change in skin color still red and when water comes in contact gets redder! So doctor now has me on Augmention 875 and gentamicin cream the dosage is augumentin 2x day and gent cream 4x days !
t seem to have problems with doxycycline, amoxicillin or clindamycin. Clindamycin destroys my stomach though. I avoid cipro and zithromax.
Actually gentamicin sulfate and bismuth carbonate are two different compounds on one capsule. They’re both used as antibiotics. There’s a plethora of posts in the past of people coming up with miraculous cures of antibiotics only to be upset because they didn’t work permanently.
Antibiotics will always work because the patm compounds are made in the gut by our gut microbiome.
ve done several more tests at home (as my symptoms are still present and I am in a great deal of pain) and each time it is the same, positive in the morning (nitrites & leukocytes) negative later in the day... If my culture was done on this first morning urine, do you think I might get a positive result and thus more clarity of which antibiotic will treat the root of the issue? Why do you think my cultures vary between morning and evening?
Alternatively, you can take clindamycin for the bv and drink a boat load of cranberry juice for the UTI and water of course. It will take longer to clear up the UTI but it should work. It did for me in a pinch. It just took a couple of extra days. Of course if you are diabetic you can't.
2 weeks after exposure I visited urologist and he told me to test my urine and semen but perscribed me antibiotics from the class azithromycin dihydrate and also Tinidazole. I made the tests, gave semen and urine and took the antibiotics as perscribed. No effect. My urine came back clear, and streptococcus bacteria was found in my semen. I came back to the urologist and showed him the results and he perscribed Cifran - ciprofloxacin. I took that for 10 days as perscribed.
has given me 10 days of clindamycin to be taken 3 times a day at a dose of 450 mgs. this is fine, i can take clindamycin with no ill effects.
HOWEVER, i have read that this drug is not commonly used to treat std's as there are so many better options. Is clindamycin going to work??? Thanks.

ve tried many skin creams like Betnovate GM (Betamethasone Valerate, Gentamicin, Miconazolenitrate) and Lobate G (Clobetasol Propionate and Gentamicin) but that was of no use.

He told me to put the Gentamicin inside my nose every day. Well, insert said "do not use inside of nose". I called his office and then was told to just use antibiotic cream, i.e. neosporin. I was skeptical then to use anything inside my nose.

The redness on top of penis tip changes from bright red when erect to mildy red when relaxed. There is a bright red spot that is about 1mm in size that the redness on tip seems to emanate from. Does Gentamicin cream help to get rid of a genital herpes out break quicker?
ve never had a tooth extraction while having abscessing going on, and she said it was fine. Tooth was pulled and was sent home with an Rx of Clindamycin (150mg), 4xday. Infection got worse. Dentist, then used a lazer to open and drain the infected area. Several shots (7-8) of novacaine was needed to numb the area. After procedure, my mouth hurt and burned the worst that I've ever experienced before. The infection is still there.
I used the restroom before I showered and had no problem but after I bathed I had to go again and it burned like hell. could something be wrong?
Thank you so much for your response. May I also ask what length of time would I take the Biaxin? And is there any home treatment, Like garlic pills etc. that would help augment healing? ( since Biaxin is not considered the best treatment.) Although I'm stuck with that. And frankly, I was on the Clindamycin for weeks and that didn't get rid of the infection, so maybe a broad spectrum antibiotic will work for me. I sure hope so. thank you again for your advice.
