The urologist immediately suspected chlamydia due to particles of puss on the glans and prescribed me with Clarithromycin for 14 days while getting a urine sample (which came back positive for chlamydia a few days later). I didn't have sex or any sexual contact since the 13th of December, and contacted my previous partners about this. My girlfriend got a chlamydia test done (results coming today) and was put on Azithromycin single dose to be sure.

1-2 weeks ago I developed swollen tonsils with no other symptoms but sore throat, swollen lymph nodes in the neck and basically that was about it. Last week I visited the otolaryngologist and he said it didn`t looked that bad, so he gave me a shot of betamethasone and I've been on clarithromycin for about a week with not much of improvement. Like 3-4 days ago, I've developed White spots in the tonsils and blood mixed with mucus down the back of my throat. Should I be worried?

I have had no other symptoms at all, other than swollen tonsils and a sore throat for the first couple of days which is now gone. The rest of me feels totally healthy, I'm still eating and sleeping okay and I'm not tired or anything.It's just really upsetting me and i've to wait til Monday before I get results from the blood tests. I'm from Ireland so I'm not sure the names of the drugs will be familiar to everyone.

The next week my doctor switched me to clarithromycin for my throat. 27 days after the encounter while still taking clarithromycin for my throat infection, I began to have symptoms for chlamydia/gonorrhea. I have not had any discharge or pain/burning while urinating but I have had pain/tickle in my urethra after urination along with pain while driving?? My daughter works for Texas Childrens Hospital she came home Friday with a sore throat the day I happen to start my treatment. I have throat pain for the past three months now. The right tonsils is slightly enlarged and pus pockets/yellow-whitish granules are present at the right side of the throat. The pain spikes especially after I wake up from sleep. During the day sometimes I feel fatigued. Sometimes when I take long deep breaths I used to feel a slight difficulty in the center of the chest. I had gotten 2-3 mouth ulcers about 3 weeks after my last exposure, but I felt sick a day after too, felt like a common cold and had a sore throat. I went into a walk in clinic and was given clarithromycin cause he thought i had strep throat which ended up giving me severe diarrhea 4 days into the treatment and I stopped taking it, but the day I stopped taking it i went and got checked for strep throat, gonorrhoea and chlamydia and all tests were negative.

Three days ago I had a full STD screening done wherein I gave a urine sample and a throat swab. Yesterday I gave blood samples for early detection STD tests using RNA PCR. My urine and throat swab PCR test results came back yesterday. I'm clear of Gonnorrhea and Clamydia however I tested positive for Mycoplasma Hominis and Mycoplasma Genitalium. I thought these couldn't be acquired by oral sex but I guess they can.
