I have had no other symptoms at all, other than swollen tonsils and a sore throat for the first couple of days which is now gone. The rest of me feels totally healthy, I'm still eating and sleeping okay and I'm not tired or anything.It's just really upsetting me and i've to wait til Monday before I get results from the blood tests. I'm from Ireland so I'm not sure the names of the drugs will be familiar to everyone.
1-2 weeks ago I developed swollen tonsils with no other symptoms but sore throat, swollen lymph nodes in the neck and basically that was about it. Last week I visited the otolaryngologist and he said it didn`t looked that bad, so he gave me a shot of betamethasone and I've been on clarithromycin for about a week with not much of improvement. Like 3-4 days ago, I've developed White spots in the tonsils and blood mixed with mucus down the back of my throat. Should I be worried?
ve had it. I went back to the doctor and he gave me levofloxacin for tonsillitis but my throat is still sore on the 8th day on levofloxacin. In september i had a lung infection which i used levofloxacin for and i was coughing up greenish phlegm and it worked for that. I did smoke blunts for that time in september but I've stopped smoking weed for about a month now, and everytime i would smoke weed i would get itchy.
she said there was no way she had a sore throat so shortly after the antibiotics she had given her but i told her it was not a long time at all... she has some infection in her ear and throat still so she put her on Clarithromycin for 10 days... her throat seems to burn now when it hurts and her ear aches, she has been taking it for 3 days...
The next week my doctor switched me to clarithromycin for my throat. 27 days after the encounter while still taking clarithromycin for my throat infection, I began to have symptoms for chlamydia/gonorrhea. I have not had any discharge or pain/burning while urinating but I have had pain/tickle in my urethra after urination along with pain while driving?? The urologist immediately suspected chlamydia due to particles of puss on the glans and prescribed me with Clarithromycin for 14 days while getting a urine sample (which came back positive for chlamydia a few days later). I didn't have sex or any sexual contact since the 13th of December, and contacted my previous partners about this. My girlfriend got a chlamydia test done (results coming today) and was put on Azithromycin single dose to be sure.

Having diarrhea after antibiotics is not rare, but also not normal. I recommend you to have stool test for C-diff and for occult blood.
Having problems with breathing is probably from the acid coming up into your throat and then down into lungs. You should fix this promptly, it may damage your lungs (aspiration pneumonia, with lung scars).
There's another possibility - alergy to one of antibiotics. Would you say you have any lips or face swelling or skin itching?

Regarding the symptoms that I observed. After about 2 weeks, I started to feel a mild sore throat. Also after 2 weeks I noticed that the region on my lip where I have some sores due to Herpes was pulsing for about 1-2 days. In addition, I had some (about 4-5) minor sores on my right side of the mouth that disappeared after I removed them by scratching. They looked like acnes, however much smaller and located very close to the mouth.
After 3 weeks, my sore throat got worse.
I found out that I have gonorrhoea. I have had it for about two months already. It's in my rectum and my throat.
I know that ciaftriaxone is the recommended treatment, however I am unable to get it.
The medication available to me is clarithromycin (klacid).
Will this be effective in curing the gonorrhoea?
What dosage should I take?

d just finished a week course of clarithromycin for a chest infection. The doctor said that this drug could have cleared up a chlamydia infection if I'd had one.
Exactly two days after this, I came down with a sore throat, ear infection and cough. The doctor said I have pneumonia and an ear that is "so infected it's gross." I am taking albuterol, clarithromycin and mucinex.

M suffering from kinnda throat issue. . . I have bronchitis with a severe cough I am taking 50mg cortisone a day I am not able to cut down yet as the cough is too severe. I have read on some of the post that it will cure/prevent gon.,syphilis,chlamydia and NGU because it is similar to a Z-pack and then on others that there may be some problems. I started the pills the day after exposure and have been taking them for 4 days. I have not had any sexual contact with my fiance.
