Claritin and Clarinex (they work very differently) might help. Claritin makes me light headed for 30 minutes, raises blood pressure a little but wears off after a few hours. Clarinex works better for me, lasts 14 hours on me. Both are pretty weak for antihistamines. Other than this there is a couple more that use the same med as Claritin, so same effect pretty much. The other antihistamines usually cause drowsyness. Don't know of too many nasal sprays with out steroids.

my mom has been experiencing this weird outbreak of hives all over her body, and when she has an outbreak it seems to cause severe joint pain,but not in the same joints it kinda travels around.she has been to an allergist but they put her on predisone and clarinex and zantec but as soon as the pred. is done the rash seems to rehash and the clarinex and othe meds seem not to help at all.

Liquid has the advantage of being sublingual, and the disadvantage of usually having sugar in it and artificial ingredients and the further disadvantage of not being well protected from oxidation and of being difficult to know the dosage since it disperses in the carrier liquid. If you like liquid, try to find one that's natural, doesn't have sugar or artificial sweeteners, and keep it well protected out of the light.

Her OB and PCP told her that taking her clarinex was OK. She is miserable without it and right now has a wicked cold. I have been reading now that clarinex is OK to take and other sites saying it is not OK. She is 21 weeks right now. Why would they say it is OK if it isn't? Thanks for any info.

In the meantime, i have switched allergy medication from Clarinex to Xyzal, which may also be helping a little. I now take the allergy medication before bed whereas before, I had been taking Clarinex in the mornings. I notice that the problem of too much mucus seems less prevalent in the mornings upon waking up. It worsens in the afternoon and evening, especially after meals. So basically i was put on prozac 40mg a day. Im 14 and it was liquid prozac. So for liquid prozac for every 5ml you take thats 20mg in pill form. My doctor thought it was for every 5ml of the liquid it is 10mg or the prozac pill form. So anyways.... I told my doctor and she put me back down to 20mg. Now when i was on the 40mg my mind was clear and i was happy. Now..... Since iv been put back on 20mg my thoughts have came back and i fear it wont work again. Any advice?

First is the cough from a problem in side or something you are breathing in? A good test I use is a HEPA filted mask. (the kind you can get in the hardware store with canisters). Wearing that for 5 minutes should clear up the mucus quite a bit if it is something you are breathing in. Easy test and takes only 5 minutes. Try a deep breath with the mask on after 5 minutes and see if you still feel like coughing.

Is your doctor an Endocrinologist, a doctor who trained and specializes on the endocrine system - diabetes, thyroid, pancreas and kidney. If not you need to see one. Most regular doctor do not have the training to deal with diabetes issues like yours, they seem to be 'pill dispensers'. In your case, upping your basal dosage instead of evaluating and finding the root cause. The Endo should check your thyroid too.

Regular dosage. Whatever it says on the package. Ive been told childrens is better because it is liquid.. i havent tried it, i only take benadryl when im at my parents because of their cats. But someone told me liquid is more effective because its instantly released in your body rather than disolving. Hope that helps!

Long story short I was on lamictal/lamotrigine for a couple years at 300mg per day. I was told to lower the dosage by 50% every week, and it's been 4 weeks now and today is the day I would go down to 30mg per day for a week. However, the 150mg pill can only get so small before it turns to dust, I am having no side effects from the tapering. Would it hurt me to just stop taking it now (at 37.5mg)?

I was waiting for someone to post to help you. I am not sure what you are talking about. I also use a pen, but with follistim. They are supposed to be the same thing. I leave the vial in my pen, have not seen much of it since I pierced it the first time. Are you asking if you should see clear liquid at the tip of the needle? If so, I don't ever see any liquid. I just trust that the pen administered the correct amount that I dialed in.

I think that weight gain will depend on the dosage, so I'd check into that before dismissing the idea. A lower dosage may help you but not stimulate your appetite. Also, it does come in pill form, but I would have to take either 5 or 10 pills to equal the liquid does, so I stuck with the liquid and my trusty saltines. Again, you could look into that.

I think you are doing the right thing, going up slowly and keeping track of how you feel, but try to relax a little, even though I know that's hard to do when you don't feel well. I use use Clarinex which helps a little. Tried Claritin and it did not do anything. Most nasal sprays help, a non steroid nasal spray such as NasalCrom might help too and is gentle with virtually no side effects. I found that allergy shots was the only thing that stopped it for me. I don't use nasal sprays anymore. My rynitis was really bad and clogging my air ways. Now it seems to be almost gone. I get a bit sticky but never more than clearing my throat kind of annoyance.

I am doing gonal f for the first time with the pen. I dialed it to the right dosage and gave the shot. Am I still suppose to see clear liquid at the bottom of the shot???

The vet gave him an injection of antibiotics his temp was 40 He seems even weaker now. Is the dosage of antibiotics right? I have liquid suspension 250 and I was told to give him 0.8mm per day. Doesnt he need it more often? I am only thinking when a child takes it they need it every 12hrs??? I gave him a little chicken juice by syringe yesterday but he really doesnt want to be bothered with anything not even a drink so I am very worried.
