1462097 tn?1285902476 Today I woke up with sever pain in my right eye, hurt to the touch and to open and close lids. I didnt think it was pink eye because I didnt have the usual tell tail signs of itching, "goopy" discharge, or sever redness. I could see redness in the outside corner and if I pulled the lid back the membrane was swollen and lumpy. It was really painful to look left to right or up and down so I decided to go in for help because I was scared of something worse.
Avatar m tn I administered two doses during the day of Ciprofloxacin on my left-eye (which I had gotten months ago when I had pink-eye) yesterday, just as a precaution (should I continue doing this?) This morning - my left eye is a more back to normal - though there is still some redness in the bottom areas of the eye compared to my right-eye. I still have a slight irritation on it (like an dryness feeling during blinking), but other than that - everything's normal.
Avatar m tn Hi, the red eye and itchyness can be due to pink eye. It is easily passed between people. If the person that you were with had pink eye and had rubbed their eyes or just touched around that area and than touched your face around your eyes, pink eye could be transmitted. With a possibility of Chlamidia, Conjunctivitis (inflammation of the lining of the eye). is a possibility. It is best to get it checked out by a doctor as early treatment is allways best.
Avatar f tn I'm a 33 year old Male, I eat healthy and exercise regularly. 6 months ago I ended up with a stomach sickness that had me laid up for a week (nausea, diarrhea, vomiting). At the end of that I ended up with a eye infection, I went to a fast clinic and they said I had pinkeye, antibiotics and eye drops for a week didn't do anything. Went to a opthamologist and they said it's ocular herpes not pink eye.

Avatar n tn Is it possible for ciprofloxacin to cause vitreous detachment and floaters? I had never noticed floaters previously, but after a 20-day course of ciprofloxacin I now have 4 or 5 floaters across both eyes and have also experienced flashing lights in my eyes when I am in a dark room.
1413519 tn?1281818201 He used the eye wash station and reported it. This has happened before, possibly 2 other times in the past 10 years. Past times resulted in mild eye infection that was treated by our doctor w/ drops. This time he got a severe infection that he treated for 2 weeks with little results. He was sent to a specialist. Treatment plan, antibiotic drops, steroid drops, as well as some type of drops to help his pupil to shrink.

Avatar f tn Hello, There is no relation of farting and pink eye. Pink eye can be due to conjunctivitis, uveitis, dry eye, blepharitis, angle closure glaucoma, subconjunctival haemorrhage, corneal infection, injury, contact lens wear and allergies. I would suggest you to get it evaluated from an ophthalmologist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar m tn Pink eye is just that: pink eye. Our conjunctiva can get inflamed so easily from a variety of things. The seasons are also changing again, and it's that time of year where allergies and other things in your body will flare up. It's normal, and it's not HIV.
Avatar f tn I don't know if I have Trich or not but I was wondering if taking Ciprofloxacin 500mg 2x daily would cure it?
Avatar m tn The day i was diagnosed with pink eye my wife had severe flu like symptoms with fever ( 101 - 102 ), fatigue, cold and diarrhea...My pink eye infection has got anything to do with my wife's health condition? please advice.
Avatar f tn I went to a physician and was given a prescription of eye drops for pink eye. It has already been about four and a half days that I have been taking them and I don't see or feel any improvement. I have also avoided any places with bright lights and haven't touched my TV, computer, or any electronics untill now. With my finals this week, I am worried that I may be kicked out of school because of my eyes and I may miss my finals.
Avatar f tn My eye is killing me right now and I am going to the doctor 1st thing in the morning :-(
Avatar f tn The next day, my eyes were almost the same except with added infections of drainage and unbelievable swelling to the extent that my eyesight was blurry and almost unbearable. I went to a physician and was prescribed some eye drops for pink eye but it has already been about four and a half days and I don't see or feel any improvement. I have also avoided any places with bright lights and haven't touched my TV, computer, or any electronics untill now.
Avatar f tn There is no 'typical' clearing of conjunctivitis ('pink eye is not a medical diagnosis and many things can make an eye pink). It's just like trying to predict how long a cold will last. If it doesn't respond quickly: it may not be conjunctivitis, if its bacterial it may not be susceptible to the antibiotic and often its a virus and antibiotics don't kill virus (like they don't help viral colds).
Avatar f tn Hello Doctor my son is 2.7 years old and two months ago he had pink eye and I still have the ofloaxcin solution that doesn't expire until 08/13.
Avatar f tn 20/15 It started as what seemed like pink eye in my left eye. I went to emerg Doctor and he said it was likely bacterial pinkeye and gave me antibiotic gel. Symptoms disappeared, however showed up in my other eye days after stopping the gel and quickly was in both eyes, to a lesser degree. Bloodshot, very dry. Crusty in the morning. Shiny, glazed. Went to optometrist she gave me more antibiotics and anti inflammatory eye drops. Took symptoms away but came back shortly after stopping.
Avatar f tn t see as well with glasses due to difference between two eyes and eye - lens distance. My husband and son of course treat me the same but I know I look really differnt, my eyes look "teeny tiny" and I feel like a different person. I mean lots of people with " normal" diopters feel better in contacts so imagine me. If I had to of course I would get used to it and I'm sure many people do but I'd really rather not...
Avatar f tn My new born had that and I will put breast milk in a q-tip and I will clean his whole eye around it though not inside the eye and it when away breast milk does miracles
Avatar f tn So I received unprotected oral sex and protected sex about 9 days ago and I have no symptoms until this morning when I had woken up to pink eye. I didn't think anything of it and went to the doctor to get medication but after googling around I learned that pink eye is also a symptom of std's. So my question is how long after sexual contract would I contract pink eye of it is from an std? I have no other symptoms either. No discharge or pain when peeing.
539780 tn?1213943976 I had acute bronchidis, for the next two weeks I had walking pnemonia, then I had strep throat. Now Im much better, but I woke up this morning and my eye is pink, and kind of sore. Can it be Pink Eye? 1503643 tn?1311518238 I was recently exposed to pink eye from my nephew. I have been diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma. I do not have any symptoms and am practicing standard precautions. Do I need to worry about this? I am staying at his home for 3 1/2 more weeks while taking a class 12 hours away from my home. Should I stay somewhere else until he is cleared up?
