When its started a month back i had needle sharp pain followed by continuous Burping and Ice cold sensation in the chest ,i was given pain killer and it subsided for a while and then returned only as a dull pain ,
At present i feel this dull pain in the chest,doctor pressed it on the chest bone and it hurted so he told me its Costocondritis....
At present I have dull Chest pain ,which with little exertion becomes worse,have back pain and stuck gas/air in the chest area...
Anytime there is chest pain present it can be alarming due to the possibility of cardiac problems. But, in your case, I would lean toward respiratory or gastro-intestinal issues. The persistent cough, along with the possible presence of lingering congestion, could be causing your upper airways and throat to be inflamed and sore. Also, there could be a possibility of a hiatal hernia. Frequent or hard coughing is a risk factor. I hope that you will consider seeing a physician. Good luck.
I've been having really bad chest pain all night I can't sleep because of it. It's so hard to breath it feels like a stabbing pain I'm 32+3 weeks I've been trying to wait till my doctors office opens but is getting worst I have never in my life had pain like this and it's starting to scare me. Has anyone else experienced pain like this.
I woke up at about 4 in the morning with horrible chest pain right between my boobs and was up for at least 2 hours. It felt like my breast plate was ripping apart while simultaneously sinking in, making it hard to breathe. I found that it didn't hurt as bad while I was sitting up as it did when I was lying down. Googled it and it seems to be either heartburn from hell or my rib cage expanding to make room for the baby and organs. Has anyone else experienced this??
It takes 20+ years to build up enough plague by eating the wrong foods to give you heart related chest pain. You are no where near that time period yet. There is a lot of things that can cause the problem you are having including drinks high in caffine (Mountain Dew being the highest) See your doctor and get checked out.
Im 26 and started having chest pain in my sternum area i thought i was having a heart attack but a few days later now im coughing and trying to clear my throught kinda feels like im getting a cold.
I am sixteen years old. I am an asthmatic, although it rarely troubles me and I use my inhaler on a very rare basis. I have been on and off sick with the flu and I'm relatively sure I haven't recovered one hundred percent. However, lately I have begun to feel a significant tightness of my chest - to the point where it's panicking. There is also pain in the left side of my chest and the sensation of pins and needles.
Whenever I drink water or any other liquid I feel pain almost in the middle of the chest and I feel it only at a point in the chest no where else.But when I eat food I dont feel any pain in the chest . Pain occurs only when I drink water or other things like coke,pepsi etc . Is it serious or something common ?
Lately, as in the past week or so, whenever I have a cigarette I feel as though I am exhaling too much, and can feel a cold dull feeling washing over the left side of my chest. Is this my lung, my heart, perhaps just the muscle? I do not excersize too often, rarely in fact. My girlfriend was recently in the hospital for a heart issue, where they did an ablasion due to an extra pathway that was causing her heart to get up to 200 beats a minute.
The best way to describe it would be that there is a dull pain in the center of my chest, and in my throat it is cold and feels like something small is in my throat, a lump in my throat. I can breathe normally, there is no loss of air or lung capacity, just a lump in the throat.
The pain in the chest is dull, and it is noticable that my heart is beating.
All of this lasts only about 10 or 15 seconds, and then the pain and discomfort goes away completely.
I take a slew of supplements though and think I corrected this problem. However, I still get chest pain and the other aforementioned symptoms.
Does anyone think this is a heart issue? Hiatal hernia sounds closest. My pulse is usually normal though and I have exercised vigorously. Sometimes exercise compounds the problem, sometimes it has no effect. Sometimes a large meal will trigger symptoms, sometimes it's anxiety.
Pleuritis and Pulmonary embolism are other possibilities causing shortness of breath with chest pain. A CT scan of the chest can rule out both. Another possibility that can explain the pain is pericarditis. It causes chest pain aggravated by laughing yawning and deep breathing and also causes radiation of pain to arms. Again an EKG, heat echo and chest X-ray is required. Do consult a doctor and get this examined. Take care!
When ever I hold my breath and let all the wind out of my lungs and squeeze my chest it will give me pain on and around my sternum. If I turn my head sharply I will feel pain on the right side. But what hurts me the most is when I push down on my sternum or pull an object into my sternum. Nothing shows up in xrays and the doctors just keep sending me away without telling me anything. Does anyone know what this could be? It also does hurt in my back on the right side when everything hurts.
Hello! I have been having a dull aching pain in my chest mainly left side, back pain and some occasional arm pain. I do have GERD and had my gallbladder out in 2003. I saw my doc and she thinks its just a flare up of GERDs but has set me up to have a stress echo. I am driving myself nuts wondering is the heart related, am i ignoring signs of a heart condition. My doc doesnt seem so worried but i have small children and cant help but wonder am i taking the right measures promptly.
