When it was time to eat, as i swallowed, I realised that i was getting a slight pain in the right side of my chest with each swallow, located on the left side of my right breast (NOT my breast hurting, just the location of where the pain is). The pain has continued up to this moment, and I have been burping alot since saturday, but how could I have gas in my chest? And if I did, why would it last this long? I do not get the pain when I breathe deeply, nor when I swallow saliva.
Hello! I have been having a dull aching pain in my chest mainly left side, back pain and some occasional arm pain. I do have GERD and had my gallbladder out in 2003. I saw my doc and she thinks its just a flare up of GERDs but has set me up to have a stress echo. I am driving myself nuts wondering is the heart related, am i ignoring signs of a heart condition. My doc doesnt seem so worried but i have small children and cant help but wonder am i taking the right measures promptly.
I have had left side pain for almost a year, it is usually low under my rib cage, sometimes radiates around to my back. I have a lot of gas burping and flatulance. i have had a colonoscopy, Endoscopu, and Ultra sound on my whole stomache gall bladder kidneys spleen, all turned out normal... Could this have anything to do with my overies? I had a partial hysterectomy 25 years ago for a fibroid. My Ovaries were left in , they were fine at that time.
I have mild back pain mostly on the left side but it does go across the mid back when taking a deep breath. The pain the worse when my lungs are fully expanded. i have been experiencing increased burping and have some tightness in the upper chest area. I do experience panic attacks, but control with medication upon need.
It lasts for hours, or even days or a week at a time (the chest pain), and burping makes it temporarily better, I do have a small sliding hiatal hernia too...I had an EGD a few months before this all even started since I was having gastritis, but nobody said anything abotu my esophogus being abnormal, is it time for a new gastro consult or should I have more cardiac testing like a streess echo or cath?
I have been having recurring episodes of Chest Pain - mainly on the left side (around the nipple, below the sternum, & left armpit). (I am 32 / Male / 5'6"/ 170 lbs, moderately active). It feels like a sharp/stabbing pain that comes and goes quickly (1-2 mins) but leaves behind a dull ache (lasting for a long time). Also new is a pain in the upper back (between the left shoulder blade and the spine).
I have a burning full feeling on my upper left abdomen just below my ribs. it ranges from a nagging pain sometimes to nearly unbearable at other times. When I get upset it really gets intense.. I can push on the spot that hurts and make myself burp ALOT and it will ease for a while.. It gets worse after food or any drink that isnt water sometimes I burp and it hurts in my chest and I burp up stomach acid.. My stomach is bloated most of the time.. wearing a girdle seems to ease my symptoms also.
I always had to stand, and when I went to pick something up from the floor, the pain would move from the back to the pain feeling in the chest as well, and it seems like the knot was moving down to my throat...Just a feeling!!! behind all of this I have been doing all of this excessive burping to the point I sound like frog and it gets on my nerves, and I still have the back and chest pain...
Thanks so much everyone. I do have omeprazole here. so I'm going to start it. No left arm pain and I'm burping. My heart was checked with and echo and looked good.
I then started taking vitamins, lowering stress, and feeling better. Until i developed pain on my upper left side of my stomach. It was dull and there after I ate. My bowel moments were normal so I was just confused. That eventually went away and I saw that it was accompanied by what looked like a bump which got smaller. The pain kind of went away then constant burping started like every second extremely uncomfortable little burpes especially when I push on my body.
ok so about 15 min ago i was feeling nauseous for about an hr. It subsided and now I have a mild chest pain. I'm 33 weeks pregnant is this happening to anyone else? I don't want to make a big deal out of it if its just normal. Plus I don't want to have to go to the hospital I'm alone with 2 of my kids and the roads are covered in snow.
I have pain and discomfort on the left side of my stomach area around the bottom of my ribs. It is from my stomach as I have gurgling in that area and it feels like someone is sticking something into my side. I also have billiousness burping and wind as well. At present I also have discomfort in my chest and a very sore stomach. The doctor doesn't say anything about it. I have had my gall bladder removed.
Can you give me any idea.
- Occasional sharp left sided chest pain in between two ribs right below the nipple lasting 10-30 seconds
- Deep itch below nipple that can't be scratched

Everyday: FloVent, Ibuprofen Occasional: Abuterol, Tyenol
Lab tests performed:
CT Scan (with and without contrast), Two X-Rays, EKG, and Bloodwork I believe for something having to do with creatinine.
)I am experiencing pain/discomfort on the left side of chest, about 3-4 inches above the left the nipple, about a couple of inches towards the center of the body(about an inch and half across from the esophagus,and sometimes near the middle of my body) is where i can pinpoint the exact location. On most days i feel fine, but some days the discomfort comes, and i usually feel nasueadetead for a few minutes, mostly hours, and it makes it diffcult to sleep, eat,and sometimes to talk and excersise.
This is the motor nerve of the diaphragm but it also sends sensory fibers to the pericardium (outer lining of heart). This can cause chest pain and weakness in the arm too. As you were burping, the chances of irritating this nerve are high.
However this alone should not be taken into consideration. Other possibilities like angina, spinal nerve compression etc should also be considered.

Heart problems, like Angina, tend to increase and radiate toward the left side of the chest. Think of the heaviest person in your 6th grade class sitting on your chest. You need, as confirmed by Selma, to take the drug EXACTLY as prescribed for about a month to get relief. I have had surgery for both GERD and heart issues. It isn't always easy to determine the difference. Age is certainly on your side, heart issues are pretty rare with young guys.
Right now I have a strong pain in the left trapezius and feel a discomfort or pressure in my chest. Sometimes my heart beats fast. I feel uncomfortable sitting or bending over or even laying down on my bed. One day before this I ate a lot of snacks and treats and greasy foods.Could it be an infection or bacteria or virus? Maybe food poisoning? Right now I'm sitting and my gas and chest pain have calmed down a bit but I still feel a pressure in my chest.
Hi i have quit smoking cold turkey because i wont my body to feel better. The reason i stopped is because i am suffering with acid reflux! Im 32 i have smoked heavy for 15 years. Goddam army got me hooked ha. Anyway the withdrawal is unreal chest pains that come and go, i can relax, my belly never stops growling, i feel empty & sad and lonely. I cant sleep on my left side due to back pain on the left. I can stop ******** farting and burping.
I have dull pain in my left side of the lower abdomen. Before lower abdomen pain, there were chest pains so got all the heart tests*(Including treadmill) done but everything was normal. This pain happens more when i sit on the bed with my back touching the wall. I have diarrhea on some days. Nausea and drowsiness when i walk short distances, almost all the times. My asthma attacks have increased ten folds. Most of the times i have difficulty grasping for breath. I have lost 5-6 Kgs of weight.
