chest cold going around

Is there a bug going around at the moment? I have been feeling very tired, headache every day when I cough my head hurts like mad. My shoulders and neck are aching which make me feel sick sometimes, I had shivers on Sunday and went to bed during the day, I haven't gone to work today, I woke up at 6.30am went back to sleep at 7.30 until 10.00 then again until 12.00 then again until 1.00pm, I feel drained, although I am eating.

There is so much going around at bthe moment colds coughs chicken pox,you sound like you have had the flu and a virul infection maybe a throat infection which causes high fever,take paracetamol for temp and drink plenty of fluids

I do have a bit of shortness of breath but I think it is mostly brought on by anxiety as when I am not thinking about my breathing I am fine - it is only when I start panicking or think about breathing does the shortness of breath seem to appear. Today I also experienced a cold back when I got up. I thought I was going crazy. Not sure if this is related to quitting smoking or the chest pain. Any help would be great...

I need to be able to function in order to take care of my child who is in grade school. What is the cold turkey going to be like? Will it be like going off ms contin? that was pure hell and during the few days I was without, I couldn't function, sleep, stop shaking, stay out of the bathroom or anything. I told my child I was sick w/the flu and needed to just rest. I did have some help at that time but that help wont be here this time around.

I had this feeling also and it ended up being a tumor in my spinal cord in the T1-T2 area. If things start going cold in your thighs and legs get an MRI. It takes years before this grows big enough to completely debilitate a person. Mayo says they have 400 cases a year. Mainly in women. I hope you are OK.

ve described here, and insist on having a chest exam. Green mucus can be a sign of infection. Chest pain should never be ignored, and should definitely be looked at by a physician in order to rule out any thing serious. I have a Q. Despite all my symptoms for the past 3+ years, I've been having a pain in the stomach area, that seems to go all the way around to the back. It actually feels like I am wearing a tight belt or something. (that's the best way I can describe it.) When I went to the hospital for help,(and of course told them my long time symptoms,) they did a scan of the abdomen & stated it was normal.

I have been miserably sick for a wekk and a hlf I knwo i caought mine at church as I am pretty much on bedrest the rest of the week...but everyone is sick and this is my second time this season...first time while preggos though so it made it worse.

Hi ladies, I am 22 along and so far everything has been amazing. Last night I started feeling like I was getting a cold or something. We'll this morning I could tell it's getting worse. Now my chest is so tight and painful to cough, and it's a bit difficult to breathe. I'm going to call my doctor in the morning, but do yall think mucinex cough and cold tonight? Thanks in advance!

You must need go back special doctor for your cold and fever. You xray chest and also do a lung function test to check for asthmatic problems. Best of luck!

I woke up at about 4 in the morning with horrible chest pain right between my boobs and was up for at least 2 hours. It felt like my breast plate was ripping apart while simultaneously sinking in, making it hard to breathe. I found that it didn't hurt as bad while I was sitting up as it did when I was lying down. Googled it and it seems to be either heartburn from hell or my rib cage expanding to make room for the baby and organs. Has anyone else experienced this??

I went about my normal routine and 2-3 days into my chest cold I had what I thought was the stomach bug. I thought oh great, a chest cold and stomach bug together....wonderful. I never had diarrhea (although some loose stool) and I didn't throw up, however, I had on/off dull pain/movement in the general GI area with lots of "gurgling" going on down there and passing of foul gas. That lasted about 2 days and stomach felt normal for the next two days over the weekend.

I have had a chest, sinus cold going on four weeks now with intermittent laryngitis. I have been on a course of Levaquin 2 weeks ago and am still sick. Prior to this cold I had another cold and was on a Z pac, can't seem to get any better... Never had a fever, just productive cough raising green phlegm.. Should I be working about my immune system at this point?

Two days later went to er because i was having chest pains. Did a EKG, bloodwork, chest xray. I have had a total of 7 or 8 ekgs and bloodwork, chest xrays at er and all were fine. They said Gerd and anxiety. I have been to the er 5 times for chest pain, everything was normal. Treadmill stress test, endoscopy, Mri of c-spine, coronary calcium screening (scored 0). Numerous bloodworks, xrays, Ct scan of abdomen and pelvis.

For about 3 weeks now, I have been having this sunburned feeling, sore throat, pulsating head and mild gastrointestinal issues. For the 2nd week I also had a cold, coughing, congestion but that is clearing I am fine now in the day and start with the sunburn feeling etc around 5 And it lasts till about 11, and eases when I sleep! Standard blood tests and chest X-ray were fine. My doctor says it is probably a virus! This is so weird .

A little over a week ago I was really sick - fever, body aches, headache, sore throat, and cough. Everything is gone now except the cough. It's in my chest, which is kind of achy, and I can hear like a raspy mucus sound when I breath. It's like it seems clear, then all of a sudden it's mucusy and I have to cough - but nothing really comes up.

I am going ot keep it simple, I am going cold turkey tomorrow off of oxy's, my boss knows and gave me the week off but didnt fire my butt, been addicted fro 2 years tried once before but couldnt do it, but i was doing 10-15 a day now i do 5 a day.

I will be tapering right down to 0mgs before I get off, I am too afraid of withdrawals. One thing about going cold turkey is that you get it done all at once, the only thing is that your symptoms will be more harsh and likely last a lot longer. I keep getting weird bumps at random places all over my body. flat red and brown spots not clustered a few on my neck and arms in random places. small raised bumps around my belly area. zit like bumps on my chest. a slight rash that comes and go's pretty quick on my chest and belly. one red bump that the skin peeled off under my thigh. zits on my arms which after popping wouldn't go away for couple of weeks which finally went away after about four weeks.
