I do have a cold right now and have had some terrible coughing spells. It could be that is why I had this in the past, but I can't remember for sure. I have a chest cold and cough so hard that I wet my pants. Seriously. Is it possible that is causing the cramps? My ribs hurt, and I also am having back pain. I will be looking for your response. Does any one know anything we can take to supress coughing cuz its getting to the point my tummy is hurting from coughing so bad and I dont wanna hurt my baby :/
Anytime there is chest pain present it can be alarming due to the possibility of cardiac problems. But, in your case, I would lean toward respiratory or gastro-intestinal issues. The persistent cough, along with the possible presence of lingering congestion, could be causing your upper airways and throat to be inflamed and sore. Delsym is the strongest over the counter cough medicine that you can get. Tastes terrible but it works! Is there any congestion and if so where (chest,face). There are 3 different types of Mucinex, maybe it wasn't the one you needed.

But I think I have lingering after effects from that episode, as every time my chest is exposed to cold air I start coughing. In the summer I have to keep my chest bundled up from the AC. In winter, I can go out in the cold and breathe in the cold air with no problem, but if my chest is exposed just a little bit I will start coughing. I have tolerated it since my doctor can't find anything wrong and I am getting frustrated.

ALL OF A SUDDEN this evening my throat became scratchy, then I developed a cough and runny nose. After a few hours I could hear congestion in my chest. After a few cups of hot team with honey, lemon and a little brandy i spit up a greenish color mucus that eventually turned clear. As soon as I lay down it crackles and wheezes so loudly that it keeps my wife awake and i try to get a bit of sleep sitting upright which lessens the coughing. My girls had this chest cold type thing. Theirs only lasted two days, well I caught it. And I've now had it for 6 days.. bcuz I have asthma, wheezing horribly, short of breath, coughing, I called my baby doc and asked him what I could take.. he said just tylenol and he called me in an antibiotic! Not sure if its gonna work or not I have to call him Monday and let him know.
Just prior to the procedure I had a TEE. Since my procedure I have had a persistant cough, no cold symptoms, just a dry cough. Could this be aresult of the TEE or the procedure itself? Is there any reason to be concerned about this symptom? I can't think of any reason I have a cough, in terms of a cold or allergies.
I've never had allergies b4 but i'm so congested I can't breathe at all :/ My chest feels heavy I blow my nose and nothing comes out but as soon as I try to lay down its runny. I've tried Benadryl, saline drops and steam nothing is working anyone else? Anything that's helping u?
