I've got some general questions about celexa....been on 40 mg for 5 months, dropped down to 20 mg for the last month or so.
My anxiety as a whole as dropped tremendously, but I still have anxious moments. No panic attacks, just a little shortness of breath.
My question....can Celexa actually cause a little bit of anxiety? I understand that anxiety can initially increase when starting meds, but I'm wondering if it can continue to cause a bit of anxiety.
Hi everyone! Iv been taking celexa for the last four years for depression and anxiety and my doctor wants me to try Cymbalta as my celexa is no longer working and I have been suffering from pain that they believe is nerve related. Iv ready alot of reviews on this drug and not sure if its something I want to take, then again, iv read really good reviews on it. Anyone out there ever taken this drug and if so how was your experience with it.
5 and now on 150mg for the last 3 weeks. I have pretty severe anxiety and resulting depression. I had been on Celexa prior to that with great sucess, but it stopped working this past summer. I had tried Zoloft after that with no sucess and now I'm on Effexor. I was starting to feel better for about a week after upping to 150, but then a week later I went down hill. Waking with anxiety, no appetite, sad, sweaty palms etc...
I am taking a 30 day detox call isagenix. I have been taking celexa 40 mg for 12 years. Will the detox affect the celexa?
to make a long story short: Okay so about 2 days after i delivered i started to have extream depression, i couldn't eat, sleep, i didn't want to be around the baby, i was hopeless, i didn't want to live, i couldn't take care of myself let alone a baby. so my OBGYN put me on Calitopram (celexa) 10 mg. I took it for a month and everything was GREAT i felt completly normal again, then about two days after i refilled my prescription..BAM it just stopped working..
I have a couple of questions. I am on Celexa 20mg and Lamictal 150. I have been on them for a couple of years. Started off with Celexa and then added the Lamictal. I started to gain weight before I got on Lamictal. I gained 50 pounds in two years, since then I have been the excat same weight(for the past two years). I also just found out I have hypothyrodism. I started medication for that and go back shortly to test my TSH.
I started out on 10mgs of celexa and noe I'm up to 40 I'm still taking .5mgs Of clonazepam. It takes 4 weeks+ to get the full effects of celexa so I wouldnt stop the benzodiazepine until you've Been taking celexa for a while. I have experience no side effects on celexa.
Does anyone know if you can actually overdose on anti-depressants such as Celexa? If you can how much is too much? How much is an overdose and what would happen? Ie sick, death, brain damage?
I have been taking 20mg of Celexa for 12 days. I started my period one day ago and I noticed it's brown. Is this a side effect of Celexa?

I just started Celexa 3 nights ago for anxiety. My psy told me to take 5mg for 5 nights, then bump it up to 10mg a night. So i have been on it for 3 nights now along with .5mg lorazopam in the AM and PM. I don't have an anxiety diasorder but the dr. told me that iam right on the fringe of panic disorder. i don't have panic attacks, but i work myself up with questions like "OMG when will it go away", "when will I be normal"?
My dr recently prescribed me Xanax and celexa for anxiety and depression but I was to scared to tell him about the pills I have been taking ... I have not started the celexa because I am scared it will interact with the Percocet and haven't taken Amy Xanax because i haven't needed it .. Is it safe to take the celexa while I am coming off the Percocet or should I wait?
Hi i have been on prozac for it will be a month on friday , and it made me feel worse than good my anxiety seems have hit the roof thus resulting in having symptoms of depersonalization / derealization which let me tell you is scary as hell,:(
so i went back to my docs today and told her how my anxiety is 10 times worse than it was as i got identified with GAD ( general anxiety disorder) which is id say harder to cope with than depression at the mo, so she suggest i switch from 20mg prozac to
I'm trying to reduce (or quit) my celexa. I was taking 20 mg/day for the last 7 years (post-partum). I started taking 1/2 a pill (10mg) on Saturday and have continued that for the last 5 days. I am much calmer and am sleeping a lot better. However, my short-term memory is bad and I feel stoned most of the time. This is causing problems with my job as I need to interface with customers on a daily basis. Is there something I can do to eleviate these symptoms?
My son (age 10 1/2) has been on Celexa for ADHD and anxiety due to Sensory Processing Disorder since age 8 1/2. We did a LOT of research and had a struggle with wanting to put an 8 year old child on any medication at all. However, in his best interest we tried it. It had an immediate, and awesome effect. He wasn't afraid anymore! He still had attention and focus issues but it seemed manageable because he wasn't freaking out over everything anymore.
