I just realized that when I took the cortisol test I was going through withdrawal from Antidepressants and was always in a panic state (I reinstated on Celexa and tapering really slow with liquid now. No withdrawal so far) . Before I tried to get off Celexa I had major fatigue and all the signs of adrenal fatigue for years.
I have reinstated Celexa 10mg after going through really bad withdrawal symptoms. My doctor wants to add Rhodiola to the mix cause it has a synergistic effect and will help with my dooms day feelings and stress. I will be taking half a 150mg pill and then moving up. Is this okay? I have read that its okay and that there are no interactions with other meds..and I have read other people say don't mix them and its a bad idea.
Theyve try treatment different times and nothing then the dr said about me also having auto immune disease, I had no idea what that was. Im taking 8 pills three times a day and a liquid twice a day, been feeling worse n worse does anyone have advice on any of this?? Please help, dont have any support from my family. Trying to do this for my own good.
I have a tip that works wonders for my anxiety and panic attacks. I use liquid dye free benadryl. I have tried celexa, lexapro, zolaft, paxil, Prozac, wellbutrin, and trazadone. They all had side effects and some of them made it worse. I stop taking all of the meds because I found I did not need them all the time just at certain times of the month. The benadryl helps by calming me and it is much safer than any meds. I hope this helps you.
I had to stop taking both because I ended up getting pancreatis. My liapse was at 740 and amaylase was at 245. I went on a clear liquid diet and they came down. Anything I ate would bring it back up. The dr. put a stint in and by the time I was in recovery, I was in horrible pain. They gave me a shot and sent me out the door. Next day I ended up in emergency room and they told me nothing was wrong and could doing nothing for the pain.
The doctor I am seeing now seems to think the liquid taper will be the best way to get off. I am on 20mg celexa so on the first month I will take off 10% and stay at it for about a month and then continue with another 10% cut.
I was told to take 12.5 mg cytomel but it was just too much. I am cutting that in half and it seems to be better. I will have to work my way up slowly, but I need it considering my T3 is very low.
I have been on Celexa 20mg for about 6 weeks. My doc has upped it to 30mg...what side effects should I expect?
I have been on Celexa for about 5 years and went off it a month ago. Started not to feel right and resumed the dosage I had been on at 60mg. I became a nervous wreck (sweats, panic etc) and then i realized I probably should have started back at a lower dose. Would starting at 60mg after not using it for a month cause me to have these very nervous feelings?
Hopefully someone will be able to help me with this. I've been on celexa for about 3 months started at 20mg now at 40 mg. I have been seeing a lot of benefits. However I used to be on cymbalta and no matter how much I went to the gym I couldn't lose weight. I am fixing to start working out again and trying to eat healthier. Does anyone know if celexa hinders weight loss with proper diet and exercise.
I started taking celexa five days ago after going to my doctor for a f/u and completely breaking down bawling like a baby (my mom was just diagnosed with acute leukemia). I have been a long sufferer of anxiety that comes and goes. I am currently in a "goes" cycle and suffering constant panic attacks and I have myself convinced that there is something wrong with my heart despite having a normal ECHO in January, a normal treadmill stress test 2 weeks ago, a normal 24 hours holter 2 months ago and normal blood pressure and cholesterol. My Dr. prescribed me 20 mg of Celexa which I took a few years ago and helped a great deal.
hi my doctor is putting my wife on celexa for her anxiety and panic attacks, i was wondering does anyone take it and how it makes you feel, she has been taking buspar for 3 days and i think it made her worse and help would be greatly aprreciated
Is 10 mg of celexa a safe medication,,,,will it cause dizziness or othrt bad side effects,,,im also on xanax,,i took 1 pill of celexa last week and got scared and stopped it but decided i better give it a nother try so i took 1 tonight is it a good medication
Has anyone had experience with Celexa. My doctor wants to put me on it and I'd like some information before doing so. I take xanax at present but I've been using it too long and it no longer works. Apparently my doctor feels that my sleep might benefit from using Celexa.
I've been on many different meds in the past, including Celexa and was just prescribed it again. The problem is I really hate to start taking it for fear it will eventually stop working. I am also very overweight and I am concerned about weight gain. Also, it was prescribed to take in the morning, but since I do have some anxiety and suffer with sleep apnea I think is I do decide to take it, night time would probably be best. Any thoughts?
