(There is no mention of it being used for anxiety/obsession) Now, that being said, you might find someone out there that has used it for anxiety/obsession and had good results cause everyone is different. It is not at all likely your problem is due to citalopram. With Citalopram (Celexa), experts estimate that it can take up to 10-14 days for the drug to fully leave the body. So there has been none of that medicine for longer than 4.5 years. On the other hand, the indications for this medicine are in a population with high anxiety, hypocondria, and axiety greater than the general population. I would susggest you ask the neurologist to refer you to a neuro-ophthalmologist for evaluation.
I have been on Celexa 20mg for about 6 weeks. My doc has upped it to 30mg...what side effects should I expect?
I have been on Celexa for about 5 years and went off it a month ago. Started not to feel right and resumed the dosage I had been on at 60mg. I became a nervous wreck (sweats, panic etc) and then i realized I probably should have started back at a lower dose. Would starting at 60mg after not using it for a month cause me to have these very nervous feelings?

However I used to be on cymbalta and no matter how much I went to the gym I couldn't lose weight. I am fixing to start working out again and trying to eat healthier. I started taking celexa five days ago after going to my doctor for a f/u and completely breaking down bawling like a baby (my mom was just diagnosed with acute leukemia). On day two, I developed a severe headache and very stiff neck. I have had migraines in the past that originate in my neck/shoulder area. So, I thought I was getting a migraine like I've had in the past...I started doing all the things that have worked to relieve the pain before (massage, advil, heat, ice, rest, etc.

I have been a long sufferer of anxiety that comes and goes. I am currently in a "goes" cycle and suffering constant panic attacks and I have myself convinced that there is something wrong with my heart despite having a normal ECHO in January, a normal treadmill stress test 2 weeks ago, a normal 24 hours holter 2 months ago and normal blood pressure and cholesterol. My Dr. prescribed me 20 mg of Celexa which I took a few years ago and helped a great deal.
hi my doctor is putting my wife on celexa for her anxiety and panic attacks, i was wondering does anyone take it and how it makes you feel, she has been taking buspar for 3 days and i think it made her worse and help would be greatly aprreciated
Is 10 mg of celexa a safe medication,,,,will it cause dizziness or othrt bad side effects,,,im also on xanax,,i took 1 pill of celexa last week and got scared and stopped it but decided i better give it a nother try so i took 1 tonight is it a good medication
Has anyone had experience with Celexa. My doctor wants to put me on it and I'd like some information before doing so. I take xanax at present but I've been using it too long and it no longer works. Apparently my doctor feels that my sleep might benefit from using Celexa.
I've been on many different meds in the past, including Celexa and was just prescribed it again. The problem is I really hate to start taking it for fear it will eventually stop working. I am also very overweight and I am concerned about weight gain. Also, it was prescribed to take in the morning, but since I do have some anxiety and suffer with sleep apnea I think is I do decide to take it, night time would probably be best. Any thoughts?
