celexa

Avatar f tn I live in the UK and I take 40mg of citalopram daily (I think the USA call in celexa? ) and I've been told by my midwives it's safe for baby and to use during breastfeeding, but comes with a small risk of pulmonary hypertension.
Avatar f tn I know what some of my issues are, and I am seeing a therapist on a regular basis, plus out patient treatment for the PPD. I am however struggling with how to fix my issues. I know the PPD is hormone related and will soon pass. I have issues with my self-worth....Self-esteem issues, and several losses in my life including my first child a baby girl who has been deceased for 6 years on Nov 17th of this year.
Avatar f tn they were first prescribed for back pain, then, I also had surgery in november, then I just kept taking them for depression. I have not taken them for a couple weeks now. I'm thinking the pain killers were masking my anxiety and depression that was made worse by the Celexa? What does anyone think?
Avatar f tn So , I have been on celexa for about 5 years and went off that because of my crazy weight gain.. Went on Effexor for about 6 months and I am gaining more weight!!! I have cut my calories, cut my sugar , went to a Nutrisionist , ate exactly how I am supposed to, exercised everyday, cardio and weights .. I have always been skinny ..

Avatar f tn I was wondering if there was anything I could possibly take thats all natural for depression. I am 13 weeks pregnant. I'm suffering really bad from hormones, and very depressed. I do have a history of depression, I usually take Celexa, but I cannot take that while pregnant, and I am really not comfortable taking a prescription antidepressant while pregnant.
Avatar n tn it is very scary at the time but it does pass for the most part. i also took the lexapro for about a year and started to feel more like myself but there is times when i kinda feel weird i likes its going to come back and i would just get busy doing something like clean or whatever to distract me i usually worked.
Avatar f tn Tell your doctor asap. Your doctor can provide guidance on and resources for dealing with PPD. Don't worry about people judging you, do what you need to do to get better.
Avatar n tn I know I have PPD. I need someone to talk to. Do I contact my ob gyn or just go to the hospital?
Avatar n tn Hi, I have been prescribed celexa for my anxiety problems which were chest pains, dizzyness, loss of concentration etc. I have been on 20 mg now for about a month and a half and I was wondering how long it takes for a case like mine to recover and finally come off celexa. Also one weird thing ive noticed is that my eye is twitching a lot which is the only side effect I have from this drug. Will it go away? Anyone else taking celexa for anxiety?
Avatar f tn celexa is a good medication but when it comes to antidepressants u should follow the rule of {TRIAL AND ERROR} since there r different medications for depression our bodies responce is different so u should be on celexa for about 4 weeks to decide wether its good for u
Avatar m tn My son age 13, tested positive on the PPD Skin test for TB (14mm) on Dec 4, 2009 (results read at 8 am). He has had previous skin tests done on two ocassions (2000, and then in 2007). He has also received BCG, was born in India, moved to USA when he was 3 years of age, and has never travelled outside of USA ever since. His chest X-rays in 2000 and 2007 were clear, but his chest x-rays (done for a different reason) in March 2009, and then Nov 2009 showed a lower hazy infiltrate in the left lobe.
Avatar f tn PPD stands for post par tum depression and CPS stands for child protection services.
Avatar f tn t even aloud to take him for the night for me all because my baby was born small and I have a mental health history that I sought help for while I was pregnant so they put in a referral to child services
Avatar f tn I have developed an allergy to PPD in hair dye. (I've not been formally diagnosed; have appt for allergy testing in a couple of weeks) I was excited to find the Act Naturals (from Advanced Technologies) line of hair dye, purchased it online, and had my hair colored last week. Within 24 hours, my symptoms returned: swelling, soreness, redness, itchiness of my scalp, ears, face and neck.
Avatar f tn I have been wondering if I am suffering from PPD for about 1 1/2 months now. My son will soon be 5 months, and I am having A LOT of trouble concentrating, feeling tired all the time, and constantly afriad that I am not doing enough for my son. My pregnancy before this one ended in a still birth of identical twin boys, and I constantly think about them and my son, and I have a lot of guilty feelings.

Avatar f tn Its not like i EVER expected him to get up or i didnt get up RIGHT AWAY because it was only fair for me to get up right away and every time. Talk to him and explain how you feel and see if it TRULY bothers him to be woke up for a brief moment.
Avatar f tn I know the feeling of wanting to make sure he gets his rest for work, after all you get to stay home. But remember you just had a major surgery... Don't under estimate that! I personally would love to sleep in a diff room! My husband snores like crazy!
Avatar n tn You say Been prescribed Celexa but Doc is considering that I might have bipolar 2, is the same doc who has prescribed celexa the one to have concluded BP2 or for instance you were prescribed celexa by a GP then your pdoc told you to stop it as you may have BP2. Incidentally all pharm companies marketing antidepressants say they don't drive people manic yet they do.
