Celexa energy

Common Questions and Answers about Celexa energy

celexa

Avatar f tn Does anyone have experience with Celexa?
Avatar f tn Maybe something else is going on. I do believe the Celexa takes away some of my energy and the motivation to get things done around the house, but I take 60 mgs. I originally switched to the Celexa because my doc thought it would be less stimulating than past SSRI's I had tried. He was right and I have not had the sleep problems with it. It works great for the anxiety so the benefits outweigh the side-effects for me.
1166402 tn?1303847056 Update. I got Remeron added to my Celexa (later will remove Celexa) and feel just like my old self again. I can't believe it! I thought I would never come out of that state of mind. No more Klonopin too.
Avatar f tn ve been taking Citalopram 40mg (Celexa) for anxiety and it helps wonderfully, but the fatigue is becoming ridiculous. Have been taking this for several years. Is it worth talking to my doctor about switching to another medication? thanks.
Avatar f tn i am 17 days clean of percosets. on day 3 or 4 of wds i started taking celexa(anti depressant) i have been on 20mg for almost 2 weeks now, mentally i feel kind of ok but i am still having a hard time with motivation. most of the time i just lay in bed. i do get up and get outside occassionally but just soooo very tired. is this normal from withdrawing from the percosets or could it be the anti depressant. could 20 mg be too much.
Avatar f tn I was on celexa for two years at age 16. It made me go absolutely insane to the point where I tried to commit suicide and ended up in the hospital again. The week I went off of it, I felt incredibly better. I have extreme PTSD now, see a therapist, I have anger issues, and loss of memory all because of Celexa. I would like to know who I can call or go to to report this and get some sort of justice.
1672515 tn?1303908489 Let me start off my saying that I was never depressed. I always had high energy and a zest for life, but I was high strung and also had a lot of anxiety and over-worried about things I couldn't control. I started taking Celexa about two months ago for this reason. My mother is the one who suggested it, she takes Celexa for depression. She's had depression issues since she was about thirteen years old and the medication has done wonders for her.
Avatar f tn I went to my doctor and told him about my feelings of severe anxiety, hopelessness, lack of energy, inability to sleep, crying all the time, lack of focus, etc. and he put me on Lexapro. It has REALLY given me my life back! Today I woke up and did not even THINK about Percocets. I haven't taken a Xanax in two days, either. I feel absolutely wonderful and truly happy!
Avatar f tn Let it build up in your system. Since it gives me TONS of energy (more so than the Celexa did) I prefer to take mine in the morning. Take care!
Avatar m tn I didn't even know I had grown dependent on these things?! i took them for 2 months and HATED them. i stopped abruptly and it took me days to figure out what happened?! Well, it's day 8 and I STILL have profound chills and sweats, diarrhea and a dark, gloomy depression with anxiety (THIS IS NOT ME!) My question now is- WHEN will these things start to subside? i went to er yest and they told me no no no ultram isn't addictive- i got angry and I told them what time it was.........
1128643 tn?1262483649 Finally, in 2003, I was in a study for treatment resistant depression and Lexapro quite literally saved my life. I was later switched to Celexa for financial reasons. I had no problems transitioning and have taken it for the past six years. Now the issue: I suffer from chronic pain as well, and apparently my pain mgmt doc believes Cymbalta (approved for fibromyalgia) may keep my depression in check while also helping me deal with pain & its own related depression.
Avatar f tn i take a regular multi vitamin everyday and an antioxidant,b6 and b12..im also on 20 mgs of celexa..i think they do help with energy esp during the wd stage for me anyway..i never tried the milk thistle, thats supposed to be a liver detoxifier but i never got around to that, had bloodwork done and my liver levels were ok..
Avatar n tn Between that and the physical fatigue I stay in bed too long, generally gaining more energy a few hours after getting up. While those are depressive symptoms themselves I've been on higher doses before and wish I'd understood the side effects - in short I need a path off the drugs not going backwards with more of them. My internist has prescribed Celexa to replace Norytrpilene on the theory that it is more specific than the latter and should have fewer side effects.
Avatar f tn And what is a better drug to take? I am ADD/ADHD and really stressed out. I feel better when I take celexa 20 mg. daily and 5mg of Ritalin twice daily. I am only 4'11" and this weight HAS GOT TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Avatar f tn I feel more lazy now than before i went on celexa...is it better to take celexa at night.
Avatar n tn First it was zoloft that has awful sexual side effects, and in turn would cause problems with my husband. Now I am on celexa which I absolutely HATE!!! I am so tired. I have four children and I dread everyday that i have to get up. I do not have any energy nor motivation to do anything no matter how hard i try. My doctor now wants to switch me to lexapro which is not on the $4 plan. I do not want to keep switching from one to another. Does anyone know how lexapro is?
656309 tn?1224489859 I am FREAKING OUT. Not sure if it's withdrawals from Celexa, or side effects from the Wellbutrin SR. Took 40mg of Celexa for a year and Psychiatrist switched me to Wellbutrin SR 150mgs a day. He told me to stop the Celexa cold turkey. That I'd be fine, and just start taking the Wellbutrin SR the next day. This was on Oct 4th that I started the Wellbutrin SR and stopped the Celexa.
Avatar f tn Has anyone taken Celexa? If so can you please share your experience with it. How many mg are you or did you take? Did it help with anxiety? How long was the adjustment period (did it increase your anxiety)? Did you gain or loss weight? Please share your experience with Celexa. Thank you for your advice!
Avatar n tn What meds have you already tried and for how long?
Avatar f tn I wasnt sure if i wanted to take a anti-dep again as the last few ive tried have slight and reversed affects so wasnt to sure and also i thought it would only mask the problem. but after huge waves of depression due to the lack of energy, fatiuge ect i was totaly exhasted so i started to take this new citalopram the doctor prescribed. I have been taking them for 4 weeks now and already am felling really good. Infact i cant belive the vast improvement.
Avatar n tn Hi Kim, I was taking Celexa and Klonopin, but I felt like the Celexa had stopped working for me, so my Doctor switched me to Wellbutrin extended release and that seems to be working better for my depression. She did not taper me off, just switched me and I had no withdrawl symptoms. Everyone is different tho...
1203197 tn?1265555829 Hi, I'm not a Doctor, just a poster, but from what you've described, the combo does not seem to be working for you. First about your apnea: My friend has a form or sleep apnea also, and she has to use this special breathing aparatus at night, so that her apnea does not cause her nightly breathing problems. Can't remember what that apparatus is called, but people w/ sleep apnea often use it.
Avatar n tn I would really think about something like Zoloft to keep your anxiety at bay. Yes, there are unwanted side effects at the beginning, but if you can get through them you are usually left in a better place. I take Klonopin, but it was never enough on it's own. I take Celexa and my anxiety is nearly 100% under control. Down side is that the Celexa saps a little of my energy. I'll take that over anxiety and panic attacks any day.
Avatar f tn I am presently taking 150 mg Wellbutrin in the morning, 20 mg of Celexa (morning), 3 xanax a day and 20 mg of celexa mid to late afternoon. I do not know if this a side effect or not but my jaw tightens up and sometimes i have alot of blinking with my eyes. I do not know if it is Celexa because I have been on it for about 3 months. What can this be. Should I notify the doctor. Or wait till new change of pills take effect. ????????????????
Avatar f tn My son has been takiing this med Vyvanse for adhd, so I decided to take it to see if it would help me with my depression and anxiety, and it worked great, I didn't have any side effect to it. This is why I ask if its okay to take Vyvanse for my anxiety, right now I'm taking celexa but its not doing nothing for me anymore. I've been taking Celexa for the past 3 yrs and I think its time for me to change my meds.
Avatar f tn effexor xr and 20 mg. Celexa. It has been trial and error but finally with the increase of the effexor xr and addition of Celexa I still have some depression and some mood swings but overall, I am MUCH better. I took Prozac for many years and really good success, really worked great for me and after several years it lost it's effect on me. Sometimes it it a matter of increasing your present meds. Best of luck to you.
731081 tn?1256283166 so now im just taking the celexa and get on a good vitamin regime you will notice in a few days energy coming back. Also im a quick fix chick too....the first dose of my celexa i felt like i had done 2 shots so i called the pharmicist since i knew it takes a few weeks to get into your system...he said my seratonin was that low that i will feel the effects sooner..so i hope that gives you hope there...sorry if this is rambling but im on day 16 and this forum really helps...
Avatar n tn It is prescribed for many reasons, high blood pressure, anxiety, cluster headaches, and tremors. It does have a break-in period, and low energy, and sleepiness are part of the break-in period, which can take up to 6 weeks. I have never heard of it being prescribed for depression, but rather anxiety. I think she needs to return to her doctor to re-evaluate this medication. She is in a rough situation, to be 75 and having to care for your father, I can understand her depression.
