I was hanging out with my new roommate, whom had just bought a little bit of pot for us to party with (we were going to drink later on). I was on Celexa at the time and was on half of a 10mg pill (so 5mg). I took it in the morning and was fine later on. We were smoking a bit of the pot and I all of a sudden felt really strange (sort of the something's not right gut feeling). I only took two small hits and that`s it.

I was taking 200mg of Zoloft then went down to 150mg if Zoloft and 10mg of Celexa. I've made it down to 100mg of Zoloft and 20mg of Celexa.

He and I live 5hrs apart and that is part of the reason why he says he needs the celexa, me not being there and of course - money, not having enough, living paycheck to paycheck.
I don't want him to use MJ his whole life. Do people grow out of it? I know he used to drink a lot and get drunk and now a 6pack lasts him forever. I don't want us to be married and have kids and for him to be smoking when we have children who need to be cared for.
It's been three days since I ran out of my antidepressant SSRI Celexa. I'm not experiencing any withdrawals yet. I've been on the drug since September I think, and it's basically cured my depression, along with my mind.
CeleXa inhibits reuptake allowing more seratonin to be left in the synaptic gap causing the threshold for the nerves firing to be techniquelly less because less has to be delivered for the spark to occur since more is already there and available. I have smoked M. for 2 years and recently started CeleXa. The only thing ive noticed thus far is that I am less affected by the M. now that I am on CeleXa.
But, it all ended up in a bad place; I always ended up back on my Celexa because I became more and more unstable.
So, it's a tough road to go down and to keep going down. IMO, I would come completely clean with your shrink about all of it and go from there. I wouldn't continue to smoke, as you have already seen what it can do to you. It's not uncommon for folks who aren't dealing with mental illness to become paranoid while smoking weed.
I am convinced that my Celexa is a major culprit in my weight gain. Before Celexa, I was on Zoloft, and the first week on Zoloft I lost weight, but then stabilized and slowly began to gain weight. the weight gain was not a big amount but it did happen.
Then a few yrs later, I began having problems on Zoloft so my Doc switched me to Celexa, and "whamo!", BIG WEIGHT GAIN! It was amazing!
On top of the weight gain, Celexa has made me lethargic and very tired.
At first, Celexa made me sleepy and relaxed. Believe me, this was a Good Thing! At last, I could sleep well!
I cannot say that the drug itself decreased my PVCs--however, it DID decrease my awareness of them.
Since their frequency was related to my anxiety and awareness of them (because of the effects of adrenaline), as I became less and less conscious of these sensations, the frequency of PVCs decreased dramatically.
Trust your doctor and give this a try.
I still ahve anxiety, my doctor gave me Celexa which is okay, my question is, is it okay to take Xanax and Celexa together? I used to take Xanax too for panic attacks, and for now I know it will make me feel better. Does anyone know if they can be taken together? I have never been hooked on Xanax at all, so that is not a problem.
t go back to him for three months. I would like to know how to tapper off the Celexa and with me getting off of that and with the help of my thyroid medication will I start to lose weight ( I have not lost ANYTHING since I started my thyroid medication and I am dieting and exercising!!). I go on vacation in two months I would love to lose at least 10pounds although, that isn't even close to what I need to lose.

When that did nothing for the insomnia and resulting panic, I went to a regular doctor the next day and he prescribed Celexa and Klonopin. I did sleep last night, thankfully.
My question now is, can I take one of these low dose Xanax today? I started the Celexa last night and took 1 mg Klonopin to sleep. I just want to feel normal again.
I HAVE BEEN ON CELEXA FOR APPROX. 4 1/2 MONTHS AND HAVE GAINED 30 LBS. I AM HORRIFIED AND SO IS MY DOCTOR. I WANT TO DC USE OF; HE WANTS ME TO COME IN AND HAVE A SIT DOWN TALK. HE SAYS THAT NOT ENOUGH STUDY HAS BEEN DONE. I ALSO HAVE BEEN ANNOYED WITH SHORT TERM MEMORY PROBLEMS AND FEELTHIS IS CAUSING IT. MY SISTER IS TWO YEARS OLDER THEN ME AND IS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS. ANY COMMENT?
