I am a 28 y/o female and i have been having numbness in my face, left arm, and feet for about 4 weeks. I have had a MRI a EKG, multiple blood tests including Lyme and vitamin deficiencies which have all come back normal. I have also been having anxiety attacks lately which i was recently prescribed celexa. My doctor said the numbness could be caused by the anxiety. I have run out of ideas on what to do any suggestions?
I want to know please please please when this withdrawal will finish from celexa it's like the devil! I want this numbness to stop throughout my body. It's been a month already although it isn't as severe thank God! I get these rushes of dizziness so fast and numbness is this normal?????????????????????????????????????????
t as severe as they were, but I have tingling, numbness throughout my body and rushes of dizziness and nausea is the worst. I been taking Benadryl to relieve these symtpoms and it actually does help, but is it safe to take this everyday...I mean i'm not abusing it but I want to know how long these withdrawls will stop????????????????????????????????????????????? I'm going to go bananas..
For about 2 years now, I have been experiencing dizziness as well as heaviness, tingling sensation, and an overall weak feeling in my left arm mostly, but it also has traveled down the entire left side of my body. I am a 41 yr old female.
I have been EXREMELEY dizzy. On and off for these two years. I was admitted in the hospital (2x) and these symptoms were Strong and lasted for over a day.
I am trying taper off celexa while currently taking klonopin. I get these symtpoms like a rush in my head and numbness in my hands. It's so annoying. I was wondering if there is something to take natural to subside these symtpoms? It's not fun at all. I tried this once before and it happened and I wimped out and started taking them again, because it's a terrible feeling! I need to fight this and be strong! I am doing it very gradually.

CeleXa inhibits reuptake allowing more seratonin to be left in the synaptic gap causing the threshold for the nerves firing to be techniquelly less because less has to be delivered for the spark to occur since more is already there and available. I have smoked M. for 2 years and recently started CeleXa. The only thing ive noticed thus far is that I am less affected by the M. now that I am on CeleXa.

No matter where I am, I randomly get symptoms including numbness that usually stars behind my ears that moves throughout my whole body. The numbness behind my ears is a tingly dull feeling, and the rest of my body feels like it is shaking or tingling all over the inside of my body, and makes my body parts feel locked up even though I can still move fine for the most part. I am only 18 years old, but I do have a history of drug abuse (mainly opiates) and drinking alcohol everyday.
I am convinced that my Celexa is a major culprit in my weight gain. Before Celexa, I was on Zoloft, and the first week on Zoloft I lost weight, but then stabilized and slowly began to gain weight. the weight gain was not a big amount but it did happen.
Then a few yrs later, I began having problems on Zoloft so my Doc switched me to Celexa, and "whamo!", BIG WEIGHT GAIN! It was amazing!
On top of the weight gain, Celexa has made me lethargic and very tired.
At first, Celexa made me sleepy and relaxed. Believe me, this was a Good Thing! At last, I could sleep well!
I cannot say that the drug itself decreased my PVCs--however, it DID decrease my awareness of them.
Since their frequency was related to my anxiety and awareness of them (because of the effects of adrenaline), as I became less and less conscious of these sensations, the frequency of PVCs decreased dramatically.
Trust your doctor and give this a try.
When I first stand up, I have tingling in the bottoms of my feet, but it subsides in 10 seconds. Three weeks ago I had an anxiety attack and my GP has put me on Celexa and Klonopin until the Celexa kicks in. My tingling and anxiety have subsided, but I still have it. My GP told me to wait 2 more weeks and then she will send me for a nerve conductive study (not sure if I'm calling it the exact correct name). As a neurologist, does this sound like MS to you?
I still ahve anxiety, my doctor gave me Celexa which is okay, my question is, is it okay to take Xanax and Celexa together? I used to take Xanax too for panic attacks, and for now I know it will make me feel better. Does anyone know if they can be taken together? I have never been hooked on Xanax at all, so that is not a problem.
I've been taking Celexa now for about 4 months, and I started experiencing "fibromyalgia-like" symptoms 2-3 months ago. All joints on both sides of my body hurt (especially my knees), and I too feel like someone is pricking me with a block of needles all the way across my shoulders. I have been researching fibromyalgia as well as googling "Celexa and joint pain" on the web, and I'm convinced that Celexa is the culprit. I just saw my psy.

I would like to know how to tapper off the Celexa and with me getting off of that and with the help of my thyroid medication will I start to lose weight ( I have not lost ANYTHING since I started my thyroid medication and I am dieting and exercising!!). I go on vacation in two months I would love to lose at least 10pounds although, that isn't even close to what I need to lose.

When that did nothing for the insomnia and resulting panic, I went to a regular doctor the next day and he prescribed Celexa and Klonopin. I did sleep last night, thankfully.
My question now is, can I take one of these low dose Xanax today? I started the Celexa last night and took 1 mg Klonopin to sleep. I just want to feel normal again.
I HAVE BEEN ON CELEXA FOR APPROX. 4 1/2 MONTHS AND HAVE GAINED 30 LBS. I AM HORRIFIED AND SO IS MY DOCTOR. I WANT TO DC USE OF; HE WANTS ME TO COME IN AND HAVE A SIT DOWN TALK. HE SAYS THAT NOT ENOUGH STUDY HAS BEEN DONE. I ALSO HAVE BEEN ANNOYED WITH SHORT TERM MEMORY PROBLEMS AND FEELTHIS IS CAUSING IT. MY SISTER IS TWO YEARS OLDER THEN ME AND IS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS. ANY COMMENT?
