Avatar f tn I know that withdrawing from opiates causes severe rls making it impossible to sleep. And when I withdrew from xanax quickly I also had the nausea, dizziness etc but the rls was the worst. Not sure about celexa but I'm sure its possible and very probable that the withdrawl is causing it.
Avatar m tn I slowly tapered off of the Celexa, and I felt better than I had felt in four months for about a week and a half. No anxiety, no dizziness. Well this sunday, my eighth day without celexa I began the lightheadedness and fog that I refer to as dizziness again. I really believe that the Roxi causes the dizziness even though it never did until thanksgiving after almost a year of taking it.
Avatar m tn t woken up with neck pain in the top of the back part of my neck. I also suffer from horrible anxiety. 8 days ago I started 20mg of celexa and two after I developed a constant tremor in arms, legs, jaw, and head. It isn't a violent tremor and it's barely noticeable. I went to the doctor and he cut my dosage in half but I stopped taking two days ago of this fear I developed over the tremors. My mind is going crazy with thoughts about serious diseases.
824226 tn?1238634194 I currently take 40mg of celexa at night and am taking 37.5 mg of phentemerine. I have not noticed any side effects but what are they I am curious if ever i noticed something different about myself. I cant find anything on the internet to find an answer to this question.
Avatar f tn Around the same time i started having severe dizziness and nausea, sometimes vomiting. Doctors keep saying its stress or anxiety, i am on xanax and ativan and it does not help. I have been on anti deppresants most of my life but over the last 8 months everything seems to give me reactions such as chest pain, vomiting shortness of breath.
Avatar n tn dizziness and some nausea, electric shocks in my body and head, blurred vision at times, lethargy, very vivid dreams and flu like symptoms. I think the dizziness is the worst which includes nausea at times. I believe these withdrawal symptoms will subside with the Lord's help. The doctor who wrote the original prescription never mentioned withdrawal symptoms, only that I needed to tapper off gradually.
484508 tn?1290010544 I am assumining it is the Trazodone, and not the Celexa. I hate all these meds, but I have to take something. Please don't tell me to talk to my doctor....Yea I know that....just looking for real feedback.
Avatar f tn Is 10 mg of celexa a safe medication,,,,will it cause dizziness or othrt bad side effects,,,im also on xanax,,i took 1 pill of celexa last week and got scared and stopped it but decided i better give it a nother try so i took 1 tonight is it a good medication
Avatar n tn I have been on a low dose of celexa for 5 years. I tapered on slowly and now have been totally off the medication for 3 weeks. I am experiencing light-headness, dizziness, and feeling somewhat "spaced out". I am not taking any other medications and otherwise a healthy 54 yo female.
Avatar n tn Hello, I am a normally healthy 36 y/o male. I take 12.5 mg of zoloft for panic/anxiety. No history of anything. Recent physicals and labs show perfectly healthy. I do have a habit of bruxism (wear night bite guard), and occasionally have tinnitis. My question is: I have been experiencing slight dizziness, ear fullness, and sinus/nasal pressure. Additionally, I tend to get "head pressure" or "fullness" on occasion. My last doc says it is most likely anxiety......
6693906 tn?1388804285 He has decided to gradually up the Celexa again and ween me off the Ativan. this is 3 days later and i am home from school with dizziness and nausea. From what I read that is normal withdrawal, and i'm certain it will pass. However, my question is if the Celexa was bad to bring up the first time, will it necessarily have the same result months later? If anyone has any information on this medication please help me, i'm a little worried!
Avatar n tn Hi,i recently have started having panic attacks and anxiety, i went to the doctor and he prescribed me buspar, ive been taking it for 3 days it makes me feel better at times, but it mainly makes me feel like im in a daze, tired, no appetite, weakness, lethargy, and dizziness, i called the doctor today and told her all this and she called in a script for celexa, has anyone taken it for anxiety/panic attacks, or does anyone know much about it, i dont want to take it if its not going to do any good
Avatar m tn I took it for 10 days, and experienced dizziness and increased anxiety attacks. My doctor told me to stop taking it and prescribed me 10mg Buspirone tablets to take 3 times per day. I haven't started taking it yet, because I'm afraid of the side effects that may come with it. Will this medication give me the same side effects as the Celexa did?
Avatar n tn If it persists more than another week, you may want to see your doctor, and as a last resort go back on very small doses of celexa to see if that changes the symptoms, and then gradually wean from them which should be much, much easier that what you have been through.
Avatar n tn t as severe as they were, but I have tingling, numbness throughout my body and rushes of dizziness and nausea is the worst. I been taking Benadryl to relieve these symtpoms and it actually does help, but is it safe to take this everyday...I mean i'm not abusing it but I want to know how long these withdrawls will stop????????????????????????????????????????????? I'm going to go bananas..
Avatar f tn I recently increased my celexa and have been having alot of dizziness, fogginess, and extreme headaches. Yesterday I woke up and it felt like my eye was gonna pop out. Wonder if it's a side effect?
Avatar f tn I was on 80 mg Celexa for 9 years and started tapering off approximately a month ago. Now, I am having migraines, extreme dizziness, nausea, muscle weakness, crying, anxiety, extreme muscle pain. I'm afraid I won't be able to work. I have been totally off the med for 9 days now and am wondering if I should go back to a small dose and come off more slowly.
Avatar f tn For about 2 years now, I have been experiencing dizziness as well as heaviness, tingling sensation, and an overall weak feeling in my left arm mostly, but it also has traveled down the entire left side of my body. I am a 41 yr old female. I have been EXREMELEY dizzy. On and off for these two years. I was admitted in the hospital (2x) and these symptoms were Strong and lasted for over a day.
Avatar n tn at this point iam very fustrated, and iam now on a beta blocker and celexa, and if i do have a thyroid issue whats the point in the celexa..it wont work on a person with a thyroid issue..
Avatar f tn When i feel the symptoms resuming, i simply lay on my side, get into a very tight fetal position, really stretching the back and legs, hold for 2 minutes, release, and symptoms disappear for about 24 hours. I blelieve it is the stretching of the back that is doing something.
1305767 tn?1361192676 Citalopram can cause dizziness and is one of it's most common side effects, but usually after a week or so, the dizziness will disappear as your body adjusts to the medication. Since you have been taking this medication "for years," even if you forget to take this med for a day or two, in my humble and non-medical opinion, I could possibly see you experiencing a very brief moment of dizziness, but I don't think it should last all day.
Avatar n tn I then switched to 10 mg of celexa. I am having severe headaches, confusion, dizziness, tremors, naseau, lack of appetite and diarrhea. I have only been on the celexa for 5 days. I am also having lots of muscle pain. Am I still withdrawing from the zoloft or am I having serotonin syndrome? I have been on antidepressants for 13 years and should have weaned much slower. Thanks for your help. This has been going on for weeks now.
470885 tn?1326329037 I felt ok until after it had been 24 hours since I took my last dose - and then the dizziness and fogginess started. I'm also pretty irritable and just feeling like garbage overall. I had my last dose on Wednesday.....How long can I expect to feel off? I've read the literature about the drug having a half-life of 35 hours and it taking about 7-8 days for the meds to be completely out of the system.....but does anyone have any experience with this? How did you cope??
Avatar f tn I have been experiencing dizziness/lightheadness, nauseousness, and extreme headaches for the past several days since I stopped taking celexa. I was taking 40 mg but was sleeping 12 hours a day which I thought was due to the medication so I started taking half of the pill. I saw no improvements over several weeks and I figured the costs outweighed the benefits. So I started taking 1/4 of the pill for around a week and then quit all together.
Avatar n tn i have been taking zoloft for about 9 days 50 mg and prior to this i was on celexa i now at night sweat my heart pounds and legs shake and twitch how long does this last and is it normal?
Avatar n tn The dizziness and headaches after you were on the Celexa might have been side effects...how long did you take the meds? You have to give them some time to get past the side effects to see if they help. I am actually on Celexa right now too and I am having the dizziness and headaches (and had them before I started the med). I was also on zoloft for years and it really helped a lot only problem was I gained a lot of weight so I stopped taking it.
484508 tn?1290010544 I was taking 5 mg of Celexa and felt pretty good for 2 days and went up to about 8 mg. I cut the pills with a razor blade, and I have some dizziness and some anxiety that is manageable. I think I must be super sensitive to SSRI's or perhaps I do have a bit of a mood disorder. It is said that one must proceed slowly if that is the case for fear of serotonin surge. My goal is to get to 10 mg, without resorting to Klonopin...using the Visteril at night.
