Avatar n tn I do take Celebrex for the rib pain these last month. I were diagnosed yesterday with Cotsochondritis but do not know if it can be something else. I did started treatment 2 years ago for the stomach - Nexium 4mg (five family members died of colocancer) I also have this strange pain in my hips down my legs - it starts and then after a while it feels better but then it feels tender over the vains and the muscles. Can this be my lower back.

Avatar n tn Celebrex is celecoxib is a pain killer and both norflex injections and kotase are also pain relieving drugs .Titrating it to proper dosage and consumption for few days will cause very few side effects. Discuss with your orthopedician and you can limit the number of drugs but the very idea of your doctor is to take you through very little pain once he removes the cast. There will be pain due to stiffness and these agents will reduce the pain once you are in physical therapy. Take care!
Avatar n tn I have almost constant lower back pain. I have DDD and arthritis inmy back. Stood on my feet at last job for 15yrs. but now am disabled. any good suggestions ?
Avatar f tn I have been prescibed Celebrex for osteoarthris pain. Can it be taken every day for long term management of arthritis.
Avatar f tn I am 34 years old and was wondering if there is anything I can do for it and my back. A Doctor I saw in PA said they will not do anything for my knee because I am to young. I was told to just quit walking up or down hills and steps.(at the time I lived in the Mountains of PA in a Cape cod style house. So that was a little hard. Plus I have 2 kids. 12 and 8.) I have just moved to a 1 floor house in FL and the pain is worse sometimes. Celebrex is not working. Knee grinds.
1667344 tn?1303311751 Can I take two celebrex pills? They are 200mg. I still have some aches and it has been all ready about 4 hours ago I took 200mg.
Avatar m tn I took Celebrex for several years for joint pain due to Crohn's. I keep having bowel obstructions so I went to a new dr. He told me to stop taking the Celebrex and start taking a tylenol everyday. I have not had any more obstructions but I do still have some joint pain.
968560 tn?1307451498 As a matter of fact 3 yrs ago I passed a kidney stone in hospital and would go so long without a pain inj that finally the nurse told me not to wait so long b4 asking for a shot. Back to my question. The last norco Rx was for 60 taps it lasted me about 2 months, but it just doesnt really help with the pain, makes my head fuzzy but pain relief isnt much better than ibuporfen 800mg.and thats not a level of relief that I can live with.
1155483 tn?1262432647 I was on toradol for two months. It made me extremely nauseated the whole two months, along with severe stomach pains. I have severe stomach and bowel problems anyway, but toradol increased my pain by ten. I know three other people that took toradol long-term. One had no problems at all with the drug. One developed a bleeding ulcer in 2 weeks on a mild dose.
Avatar n tn She is 64 but she also has osteoporosis and arthritis in her lower back. The back doctor just prescribed Celebrex, is this the safest drug for her? Also what should people with Hep C do to better care for their liver eventhough so far she seems to have a healthy liver. For the osteoporosis she is on Fosamax. She has been on it for several years. I am just afraid that too many potent drugs can be harmful for her liver.
1207048 tn?1282174304 m thinking of seeing my neuro to see if I can take the gabapentin during the day (right now I take 500 mg before bed only). My regular doctor is the one that prescribed the Celebrex thinking the joint pain was arthritis, though my x-rays and blood work were normal. I'm pretty sure that I'm having muscle issues that will sometimes cause some joint pain, but I do think the problem is starting in my muscles. But, what the heck do I know?
370181 tn?1595629445 My mom who is also suffering from chronic pain due to a back injury she sustained from a bad fall eight years ago, was also prescribed Celebrex by a surgeon who is an expert in pain management. Well, my mom was on the Celebrex for only two days. She felt very ill on the Celebrex and went off the Celebrex by herself as it was making her symptoms worse. Yes, I've also heard that Celebrex has cardiac risks, didn't know about the g i bleeding.
Avatar f tn 5 MG nightly, I just started celebrex for severe joint/bone pain which I have developed over the past few weeks, also been using estrogen patch and prometrium 100 mg nightly to help with menopausal symptoms. I have been taking Diovan 80 MG for HBP for a few years now. My Dr recently prescribed Savella for my all over body pain which gets much worse at night while I am sleeping , My Dr. says the pain is most like caused by Fibromyalga(?
Avatar f tn I have increased bone pain and nausea. I then have diarreah and vomiting for 2 days, but the cramping is what cripples me. I then have to wean myself back onto solids. But the most frustrating part of the whole ordeal - is when I have gone through this I feel replenished. It is as though my body is trying to rid something - a build up of acids maybe?
293157 tn?1285873439 I got back from my appt today and of course I have NO PAIN yet today.. the Neuro touched different areas on my face and asked if they were sore, I said NO.. but the bottom and side of my face was tender, not sore so I said no it wasn't sore, I don't know if I should have said it was tender??? at these appt I never leave feeling like I said what I wanted to say?? does this happen alot. she said she didn't think it was TN.. but wanted me to try this RX.. Indomethacin.
Avatar f tn One day I had severe back pain ( much higher than my normal back pain), slight tremors, overall feeling of sickness, shortness of breath etc. I see no way of getting out of withdrawal. But you are strong you can get off of it. Have you tried Celebrex instead of the other anti-inflammatories? Since Celebrex is a Cox2 not a Cox1 and 2 it doesn't ruin your stomach like the others.
Avatar dr m tn OMG! Thank u so much! You have described exactly the kind of pain I have along with OA in my shoulders, spine, and hips. I had an MRI and the diagnosis was DDD in T11 & T12 but was not a candidate for surgery. I have been taking percocet 10/650 3 times a day but it doesn't help with all the pain I have. Like u said it is very difficult to explain the different kinds of pain. I wake up with pain from the OA & I take a pill in the A.M at noon and 1 in the evening.
Avatar m tn I am in a lot of back and joint pain. I am going to see my pain management doctor today. I take meloxicam for arthritis and I think I'm going to ask for a change. I have been told that Celebrex and Indomethacin is a good non narcotic combination. Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.
Avatar m tn I started taking Celebrex two months ago and have gained 18 lbs since. I am wondering if anyone has gained weight on Celebrex? I have a sprained lumbar, lumbago syndrome with back spasms. I can't take narcotic pain meds. Any alternative to Celebrex? Naproxen does nothing for my pain.
Avatar f tn I have been taking Celebrex (200 mg a day) for about five years for bone on bone knee osteoarthritis. It has worked well for controlling my pain (not perfect but pretty good). I also get some lower back pain (combination of osteoarthritis and nerve stuff) that only happens when I over-do (like trying to garden, etc.). I typically need a day or two of Vicodin for that as the Celebrex does not seem to work for that.
Avatar m tn I have read up on it a lot and it seems pretty harmless and safe, especially compared to other back pain medications. I have refused somas and other narcotics because I don't want to go down that road. Just concerned if say I work 5 days in a row and I take the skelaxin every day. Than I'm off for two days. Thy 6th and 7 th day will my body be craving skelaxin lol.? Any feedback any experience is appreciated.mthank you.
Avatar m tn I have tried that and it doesn't really help. I usually go o bed between 9 and 10 but I don't usually wake up from the pain until between 3 and 4. I'll get up and make my lunch and the pain will subside within 20 min and I can go back to sleep for a while. I've tried taking a muscle relaxer before going to bed and that won't help either.
Avatar f tn I have been on Celebrex, prednisone, plaquinal, methatrexate, enberol, folic acid, fosamax. I stopped celebrex and prednisone for one month, joint pain became worse, I am on Nexium for the gastritis. I have been healthy except for the rheumatoid arthritis. This burning pain and shortness of breath is getting me down. I have always been very active, walk at least 2 miles a day, now I am lucky to go around the block. I appreciate your responding to my question.
