Avatar f tn I would stay away at least until after the 1st trimester. Because they always say no amount is safe. Some people do and everything is fine - but it's hard to tell which baby might be extra sensitive or not. Plus some people take a glass of wine at 3oz. But some say a glass is 8 oz. I wouldn't be comfortable suggesting any more than 3 oz once per week. And measuring that out, don't guess ya know?
387294 tn?1207620185 I know I am over reacting, but I went out to dinner last night to celebrate my last riba pill and the end of treatment and had one glass of wine over the course of dinner. Do you think this will impact treatment success? At this point I am so worried it didn't work it is all that is on my mind.

1141224 tn?1278725381 Don't feel bad. I have a glass of wine here and there and I don't feel guilty. They don't want you binge drinking or drinking hard alcohol. Just make sure it is red wine. It is the healthiest for you and it is actually good to relieve some stress. But if having a glass stresses you out...then I would recommend not drinking any. I never drank red wine before my pregnancy. I only drank white. Even in the beginning I hated the taste of red....so I didn't have anything at all.
Avatar f tn Actually, my prenatal yoga instructor is also a certified doula and said a class of red wine is perfect for when you're going to go into labor... I was shocked but it makes sense. I've also read other places that a glass of red wine per week is OK during pregnancy. I'm not a drinker so I don't much care about that but it's interesting nonetheless. Anyway, I say go for it. If I'm having the same issue at 40w I'm willing to give it a try.

Avatar n tn I am a Caucasian woman in my 60s who has just begun to flush (cheeks only) after a glass of alcohol. This began last year for 5 or 6 times in spring 2018, then disappeared all summer, then started up again in mid-fall 2018. I drink no more than 1 glass of wine a few times per week, so it's not b/c of amount. I have Asian friends who say that they can't drink b/c of "Asian Flush" - they're missing an enzyme that doesn't allow their bodies to process alcohol.

Avatar n tn --- Carbs also have 4 calories per gram and only about 6% of calories from carbs are lost due to heat/metabolism. --- This creates a caloric differential of 19% !!! By switching to let's say to food items with higher protein value and lower carb value, without increasing fat intake much, you will easily create a calorie deficit. If your weight is 50 kilograms, you can go up to 50 kg x 1.5 grams/per kg = 75 gr of protein daily maximum.
