Avatar f tn You are obviously controlling your post-prandials (after meals) by eating so low carb, though that is hard to maintain. I think it's time to see your doctor, get a diagnosis and perhaps begin taking an oral med to help you control your blood sugar.
667913 tn?1242700488 the 100 calorie popcorn bags have helped me stop the carb crave during the days. Also, a deli meat slice in the AM inbetween bkfst and lunch vs. carbs as in chips has helped. I have not gained wt. but have gone up/down a bit since trying these methods .. it could be monthly fluctuations, too .. but nothing gained sounds good to me!

Avatar n tn Bicycling on a more upright 'city' bike. Over time this could get better. The LES can heal if its really burned up right now, takes a long time. Of course having a hernia adds complications. A friend of mine has this but now he can exercise and snowmobile (very bouncy) again after one year. So now he's eating acidic food again .........not a smart move. Its best to say good bye to pizza , peppers ect. So stop the bouncy stuff for now and let the LES heal. Time will tell.

However, I currently have builders and I stupidly tried to signal to them over noise of tools by stamping my foot extremely hard by jumping repeatedly on on the wooden floor upstairs. It was so hard my foot is still hurting hours later and my leg is still vibrating! The right side of my pelvis is also painful now.

I now have to wear a knee immobilizer and no weight bearing for 6 weeks. What do you wear over the brace??? It's winter and I'm freezing sitting here in my underwear. But as LRS has written, each person is different, and there really IS no set standard that is perfect for each person. With this disease, some trial and error is absolutely necessary in order to discover what works best for the individual.
Avatar m tn Did you have your hardware removed? My husband broke his femur in 1997 after a snowmobile accident. They put in IM nail with 3 screws-2 at the hip 1 above knee- he had all removed in '98.- He has had on and off hip pain ever since the accident and is finding his "good hip" starting to bother him.-probably from walking funny due to the pain- I'm thinkng that the bottom line is that after something is broken it is never 100% again. I think arthritis is almost inevitable.
