Avatar f tn And I thought I was delivering news. ; ] Thank you. Serves me right for being gone so long from the forum.
Avatar f tn streaked across the sky off the Southern California coast Monday night and was caught on video by a local CBS News helicopter camera. KCBS said the trail was visible from Los Angeles. The helicopter crew described the missile's location as 35 miles out to sea north of Catalina Island. The U.S. Navy is the likely source, but Navy officials have been unable to determine who launched what, NBC News reported.
Avatar f tn Low carb no carb diet! It's perfectly safe.
Avatar n tn I was doing some Googling and found a review in 2015 by Dr. Max Gomez of CBS news, of his Nissen Fundoplication surgery. He seems to no longer work for CBS news. I cannot help wondering how he is today and am trying to find out. I don't suppose anyone here knows? Also, does anyone have any familiarity with the surgeon he used from NYU? Dr. Bizekis? He seems to have a good writeup online. http://newyork.cbslocal.
Avatar m tn Harvard researchers put pre-obese people (they had just lost 10-15 percent of their body weight) on three different diets—a low-fat, high-carb diet; a low-glycemic diet with fewer carbs; and a high-protein, high-fat, Atkins-style diet. Each participant ate the same number of calories on each diet, yet at the end of the study, they found that people burned the most calories at rest while on the Atkins diet.

8180827 tn?1396894232 I'm not sure why you're so worried about getting sick on a low carb diet... The only carbs you have to give up are sugar, white flour, rice, etc. Veggies and whole grains are the best sources of complex (good) carbs. Also make sure you get plenty of lean protein and adequate "good" fats.
Avatar n tn Dear winkster, Actually a diabetic diet is really only what a healthy diet would be for people without diabetes. And fruits are a part of that even though they have sugar it get metabolized like any other carbohydrates.
Avatar f tn Yea i know thank you. Sometimes i can just be so negative and need to snap out of it.

1372516 tn?1297265962 You could be type 2 diabetic which could be controlled by diet. My mom is type 2 diabetic, had much higher levels, they put her on medicine and when she lost some weight and changed her diet, they took her off the medicine. She has to watch her sugar and carb intake. Also, daily exercise will help lower levels.
Avatar m tn Type 2 diabetics must pay careful attention to the amount of carbs eaten. Consider carbs as an equal to table sugar. On nutrition labels carb sugars are listed in grams. Every 7 grams equals one heaping Tablespoon of refined sugar. Changing lifestyle habits can go a long way in controlling type 2 diabetes. Restrict & avoid refined sugars, practice and adhere to weight control, do some sort of exercise daily, practice stress management, and get adequate sleep.
451075 tn?1210258648 thanks everyone for the input, means a lot. I decided to ditch Oat Brand and replace that with mixed berries in the morning. Then have some more berries during the middle of the day. I am feeling great and my workouts are great too so far (I am 3 days into the diet).

15695260 tn?1549593113 My kids have undergone testing and are negative. Despite this, and a low carb diet, their blood glucose levels as measured by hba1c are slowly rising over time. There are also autoimmune disease prevention protocols that some people are using to prevent t1D, these include monitoring vitamin D levels and dosing Vitamin D and Omegas, as well as adopting low carb diets.
Avatar n tn Hi, I would change my diet to a low carb diet. A lot of news has been coming out about low carb and I am doing low carb. It has really helped me keep my BG down to an acceptable leval. You might try researching the Dr. Bernstein diet for diabetics. It really works and does not affect a person in any bad way. You also do not have to starve yourself on this diet. I eat between 2000 up to 3000 calories a day but those calories are coming from low carb food.
10570408 tn?1412078257 I am sorry to hear that. Try and cut down on your intake of red meat and processed food as well. Replace them with fresh fruits and vegetables. If it still fails to get your weight shifting, try Liproxenol max. It was very effective for me.
Avatar n tn So another one of my posts is about Dr. Max Gomez from CBS news who had a fundoplication surgery under Dr. Costas Bizekis of NYU Langone in NYC. I was wondering if anyone was familiar with him. http://nyulangone.
