then i woke then next morning I have redness, burning and tingling in both hands. It was time to see my podiatrist for athletes feet he said this 2 foot 1 hand syndrome it inot infectious or contagious it will resolve once you get rid your athletes feet. well I have family & id ont want effect them. Help anybody??
Mother (66F, colon CA IIIB) is starting her 4th round of XELOX (capecitabine+oxaliplatin) and has 4 more to go. Her neutrophils are naturally low (~1.6) without chemo (possibly related to the synthroid she has been taking since 2010?). By round 2 her neutro dropped to .6 so they gave her Neupogen and stopped capecitabine for 4 days. They gave her a longer-acting version of Neupogen before round 3 and lowered the dose of oxa to 90%. Before round 4 her neutro was back down at .9.
I have been expierencing a sharp shooting pain at the top of my right foot between the small toe and the second toe. It usually happens on and off and at rest. I usaully get it for two, three days and then goes away for a month or two and then I get it again.
For the past two years, my right foot gets swolen, when compared to my left foot. My regular physician, and she is an excellent one, had an ultrasound and mri done along with xrays. I also had an EKG done as part of my physical. She informed me that she didn't find a problem; I should accept it as part of the growing old process. (All my life, my right foot has always been bigger (!) than my left foot). I am still concerned.

By your feet being in close proximity you have spread it via foot to foot contact then you have touched the infected foot with you hand hence leading to "Two feet and hand disease", as fungal infections spread via physical contact.
Further creedence is added to this diagnosis as you said you have applied hydocortisone cream (steroid creams).
I had hypothalamic lacunar stroke on 01/09/09 with subsequent thalamic pain syndrome on my right side arm/hand & leg/foot/toes. Constant tingling/burning/tightness/numbness & cold my entire right side of body. After stroke, my doctor immediately put me on 75 mg Plavix same day. After putting up with syndrome for 4 weeks, I went to my neurologist Thursday, 02/05/09 & told him the pain was really getting to me. He prescribed Lyrica 75 mg twice a day.
Does anyone have any help for pain on the bottom of my feet and behind knees. Can't use the stairs without the hand rail! How about tarpal tunnel syndrome? I have Hashimoto's. Been to rheumo, orthopedic surgeon and podiatrist. All negative reports. Pain in feet still continues...
The she started getting hand to foot syndrome and everything I have read says the chemo may need to be adjusted. She says her dr wanted to stay on track with the chemo and it would go away after chemo. The more we question her I now know that she has 64 lesions. Is this a large number or is this a small number? My sisters and I are trying to figure out just how bad this is... we are not comfortable with what my mom is actually telling us... PLEASE HELP!!!
ve been experiencing muscle cramp type pain in the middle to pinky fingers on my left hand intermittently (a few times throughout each day) which makes my left hand painful to use for a few minutes each time. The pain is only in the top of these three fingers (where the finger meets the palm down to the knuckle) and it feels like cramp but isn't helped by moving/stretching the fingers.

i am scheduled to get an injection tuesday however this afternoon i started feeling leg and foot tingling again on the same side that i had all the pain on before. the doctor seems to think that it is caused from the facet or si joint. I dont believe that i re herniated my disc but at this point no one will give me another mri to make sure or anything. the pain started on the right side which i had no pain to begin with on that side and is located in the butt.
The drugs involved are capecitabine and oxaliplatin, my instinct is to protect my remaining kidney by not exposing it to toxins it may have difficulty in clearing. Has anybody out there had a similar experience or has undergone chemo with similar complications?

my daughter recently ran a marathon and developed a blister, the next morning (monday) her foot and lower leg were red, hot, and painful. She went to an ER and was diagnosed with cellulitis, given keflex and ultram. The next day leg was worse, so she returned to ER and they gave her bactrim to take with the keflex.

From the symptoms it looks like hands, foot and mouth disease. Hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) is a human syndrome caused by intestinal viruses of the Picornaviridae family. It is extremely uncommon in adults; however, still a possibility.
Without external examination, diagnosis is tough. So please consult a dermatologist and get yourself properly evaluated.

I would suggest consulting you doctor for alternative brands for the same drug (capecitabine), that might be cheaper or considering alternative thereputic measures that you may be able to afford. It might also be a good idea to contact the social services in your region, if they would be in a position to help.

From your description, your mother seems to be suffering from hand-foot syndrome, which is a common adverse effect of Xeloda. Hand-foot syndrome is a condition where the palms of the hands and soles of the feet become reddish, swollen and develop pain and tingling sensations. Sometimes, rash or peeling of the skin in the palms and soles also occur. Reducing the dose of Xeloda can help decrease this side effect.
Associated tingling sensation and hand turning dusky would point towards a neuro-vascular issue such as in thoracic outlet syndrome, while the pressure/ obstruction could occur at any level from the spine to the hand. Similar type of hip pain could be related to spinal issues or local issues around the hip joint. The best I can suggest at this time is to consider a review with an orthopedician, preferably at a university or teaching hospital.
The last month I have noticed decreced motor skills in my left hand, arm and shoulder, my right foot (opposite side) is also troubleing me, I think I see athrophy in inside of the foot and the foot does defenitly not look like the left foot, I feel like something is "missing" under the foot when I walk and have some troubble balancing on that leg.. I also have fasciculations almost 24/7 at that site. Facsciculations occcur also wery often every day in other random muscles.
