Hello: I just had a colon resection for a stage 2a tumor in the large colon. Thank God they found nothing in the liver, lungs, or 15 lymph nodes, but they want to follow up with "adjuvant" chemo. I might need the take home "pump yourself" type of treatment. I am very anxious about side effects. I don't do well with nausea and I have a phobia against vomiting. (ever since childhood). Any experiences you can relate?

The drug should act on the tumor in the same way that 5-FU does as it is basically converted into 5-FU inside the tumor. This should mean fewer GI side effects and less bone marrow supression as you don't have 5-FU in the rest of your body... Good luck with it.

I looked at Zithromax side effects, they vary by the dosage, single or multiple doses, doses in combination with another drug, and are listed as pre-marketing trials and post-marketing reports. Rhythm issues were reported less than 1% of the time in pre-marketing trials, and also in post-marketing reports. Your oncologist will prescribe drugs to alleviate the side effects of chemotherapy like nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea etc. Certain side effects like hair loss and mucositis are temporary and will reverse after the chemotherapy course is over. Mother (66F, colon CA IIIB) is starting her 4th round of XELOX (capecitabine+oxaliplatin) and has 4 more to go. I would suggest consulting you doctor for alternative brands for the same drug (capecitabine), that might be cheaper or considering alternative thereputic measures that you may be able to afford. Many AD's have side effects that affect the libido, guess it applies to both sex es. As far as I know all AD's have this drastic effect . Hopefully you'll find one that's OK for you . Good luck.

Does anyone know of any side effects from using the circulation booster. I have the opportunity to buy a second hand one, but my brother believes it can't be good for your muscles to zap them so to speak, like it will confuse your muscles.

Hi. I am on week 60/72, second round of treatment. I was really really sick after shot for first few months and then this resolved and became tolerable at least. I now find that I am having these same significant side effects later in tx. This didn't happen last round, but I went 48 then. Anyone else have this happen?

i had similar side effects when coming off the depo shot. I thought i was pregnant and took 3 tests. they went away but it took about 6mo. My docs checked my hormones and pituitary gland and they we all fine. It's probably not the effexor but ck w/ your doc anyway.

I just googled Avastin side effects are there are many sites that have lots of info on there. Also, you could google the manufacturer or ask your oncology center for some fact sheets.... Just a thought.

Cancer removed May 22, 2007, chemo July 2nd through October 8, 2007, and radiation on left breast November 2nd through December 26, 2008. Side effect from Taxol perminent numb toes, side effects so far from Tamoxifen body temperature changes of warmth then cold. The web page sites and telephone numbers did not have this information.

I have been prescribed Acebutolol for PVC's and I am literally exhausted since beginning this medication but I didn't see that as one of the side effects. Also, my vision is blurred. Is this normal?

I am also a breast cancer survivor, however as I am triple negative, the hormonal drugs are not effective for me so unfortunately I cant speak from experience. However, that doesn't mean that I cant find out some interesting information for you in relation to libido and Arimidex.

He had a third seizure there and the vet diagnosed epilepsy. He is on phenobarbitol and had no side effects until last night when he vomited and started head twitching. He is drooling a lot and a bit wobbly. Is this typical? Will it stop ?

Has anybody gotten a stuffy head and "funny feeling" eyes as a side effect from SSRI's. I have had these side effects before but they went away after a month or so. I'm on Celexa and this stuffy feeling(like you are coming down with a cold) seems to be sticking with me. The med is working well except for this uncomfortable feeling in and around my eyes.
