Common Questions and Answers about Can i take nasonex with claritin

nasonex

Avatar f tn About a year ago I started having such constant inhalant allergies that I had to start taking Claritin on a daily basis to deal with it. A couple of months ago the Claritin seemed to completely stop working so I changed to chlorpheneramine maleate, but I was so tired for the several days I was on it that I had to quit using it. Now I'm back to 2 Claritin/day to manage the symptoms, and it doesn't seem to affect the food allergies at all, just inhalant.
Avatar n tn Yarrow, I did read the link about Nasalcrom. I think I used that once, years ago. I need a steroid spray now, though, to take down the inflammation and swelling. But I'll keep Nasalcrom in mind too. MIght come in handy for the irritated, itchy teary eyes I often get in the spring.

Avatar m tn ) but was shocked to find out that asthma has many more symptoms that what is normally thought of. I was experiencing your same symptoms and was eventually diagnosed with asthma. I was shocked! I would have "coughing fits" and didn't know what they were, I would get a lot of mucus in my throat and lungs and would cough and cough until it hurt. Whatever you decide....I would advise finding a different doctor.
Avatar f tn I can however use just a steroid inhaler along with the Nasonex nose spray, it seemed to work very well for me. Should I try staying with this or try Singular. I thought I read up on Singular as causing liver issues. What do you think would be the safest way to go? Or the best? I love breathing better !!
1080032 tn?1326414386 I can barely breathe, my eyes are watering, my mouth is itchy and I wake up sneezing every night! Is it safe to take Claritin or Zyrtec? I will be 25 weeks on Tuesday.
Avatar m tn Last night, when my son cough so much. And I was so deperate; I gave him my Nasonex 1 buff in each nostril and he stop coughing in about 5 mins. It's mirracle to me. I tried it on me 3 nights ago and I did not have post nasal drop last 2 nights and no day neezing. For aldult: 2 red radish crushed + 1or 2 teaspoon honey + half yellow lemon. Stir up and eat.
Avatar n tn My cardiologist had told me to do a "trial & error" to see. I think Nasonex only has antihistamine in it, which is good. There are some with decongestant and I know that can mess things up. I'm doing allergy shots once I am feeling better.
Avatar n tn I have constant clicking and popping in my ear. Unfortunately, i only have one ear so i need to protect it as much as i can. With the popping and clicking comes constant ringing. I am tired of it and feel that it will eventually diminish my hearing. I am always asking people to repeat. I have been to 2 ENT, and no help. Taken Nasonex, claritin, sudafed but no help. Please advice as to what might help???
Avatar n tn After seeing a doctor i was prescribed medicine for bronchitis and nasonex. The nasonex takes care of the stuffy nose and i take claritin at nights so i dont wake up with symptoms, however i still have the cough and mucus (apparently it wasn't bronchitis). I am currently on medicine for a sinus infection. could a sinus infection be the cause of the wheezing? also i have began to develop allergy's to foods but have not been tested for dust, pollen, etc.
633143 tn?1262133535 I went to a doctor and they put me on Allegra and Nasonex to try to take the edge off until I can get another opinion. Today has been a little better so far. I did the Allegra, the Nasonex, and a steam thing in the shower. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Thank you again.
Avatar f tn What do you mom's take for a nasty cold?
Avatar f tn The last time I tried taking antihistamines I felt drugged. I have been enjoying the better relief with a nasal steroid I have been using twice a day, is this safe for long term use? I have tried all of the antihistamines around, none with a decongestant. Benadryl will put me to sleep and make me feel tired the next day, so I try not to use that unless it is a must.
Avatar f tn I feel horhorrible. Is there anything I can take? I have my first appointment next Thursday. Should I call them and see if I could come in so they could take a look at me?
Avatar f tn I had finished all the meds so I bought some more Mucinex and started that again. In another 2 days I was still had post nasal drep so I started Claritin. I have been taking the Mucinex and Claritin for a week now and still can't get rid of the post nasal drip. I sleep with a humidifier on and do the "steam breathing" about 1-2 times a day. I am worse in the morning and evening, but I still have the post nasal drip. I live in a very hot, dry area.
Avatar n tn Great! Keep your doctor's apointment that will help you sort things out. Antihistamines are one of the safest medicaitons you can take. I have been taking Zyrtec at my doctor's dosage for over 3 years. Claritin will certainly be safe for you to take until you see your doctor. Take care and feel better. I hope you get some answers soon.
Avatar f tn This can cause drainage and can be quite annoying to some. This gets worse with different temperatures, certain foods, increased activity or generally anything that increases blood flow to the area. One therapy that sometimes works for this condition is a nasal inhaled steroid which temporarily decreases the inflammation, but does not cure anything. You might discuss this safe option with his doctor.
Avatar f tn I was on nasonex spray prn or I take 1 puff each nose at times for few years= 4 years. Now I noticed hair thinning and loss. I have stopped the nasonex now. Will my hair grow back as usual? I am so worried. Iam not taking any other medication. But on hair supplements- zinc, vitamin E and multivitamin. Started my hair massage!
Avatar f tn I would talk to an allergist and see about allergy testing and possible allergy shots. If there are a couple of more severe reactions, treating them with shots should allow you to reduce your allergy medications. Allergy shots do involve a large time investment are more than worth it.
Avatar f tn Benadryl and Claritin are okay to take. I use a net I pot as well.
Avatar m tn The thing that started me on the path to a-fib 13 yrs ago was ephedrine and pseudo-ephedrine as found (or used to be found) in Nyquil. The ephedrine I got from Metabolife, a diet aid popular in the 90's. I wouldn't touch that stuff with a ten foot pole now. I'm not sure but I think epinephrine might cause problems too. Just always check the ingredients on the bottle and if there's any doubt call your Dr.s office or at least your local pharmacist.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know allergy medicine that is safe to take?
