1402935 tn?1281958699 I am always congested it seems and have trouble breathing through my nose. Nasonex helps some. I was prescribed symbocort because when i get real bad I can't breath through my mouth either. I was told it may be allergies. Was given Zyrtec. My sinus mucus swelled up so bad i could hardly breath and my face turned bright red. I did not take it again after that. I tried just general Benadryl and had the same reaction. Red face hard to breath through the nose.
Avatar n tn I've had such a tough time with sinus headaches, allergies (watery eyes, plugged ears and tinnitus) and fatigue that I finally went to an ear-nost-throat doctor last week. He put me on Nasonex, a steroid nasal spray, to reduce the inflammation. I also hear my heartbeat in my ear at times, and he's hoping that a month on Nasonex will stop that. If not, he'll do a CT scan and other work to see what's going on.
Avatar m tn I was then prescribed nasonex and allegra (which I have been prescribed before) for allergies that were cropping up - that night, I had a hot flash after a hard workout, developed an anxiety disorder and insomnia for a few months. I stopped taking all drugs and returned to normal for a week. Then I went to a bar, had not too many drinks, went to sleep, woke up, and everything came back again.
Avatar n tn t whether I should Just keep doing the Nasonex and nothing else and wait n see? or if I should take some Sudafed and see what that does. Im not usually a person that takes medicines a lot I usually just like to work out and exercise a lot and let my body take care of it. But I never had tinnitus for 2 months before haha...but I'm just wondering what would be the better alternative do you think?
531684 tn?1216745984 I am one of those 'supposedly' rare cases. I used nasonex in the past years off and on. Doctors kept saying it was a rare side effect to have nose bleeds, yet I can't even get to the end of the complaints on the internet about nose bleeds from nasonex!
Avatar n tn I just started using Nasonex (steroid nasal spray), and it really helps my allergies and sinus headache, and eye-related sinus problems. But I also have PVCs and my heart pounds a lot (can feel it in my head, back, etc). I'm wondering whether Nasonex is safe to take long term if I have these heart issues. Doctor just shrugged his shoulders when I asked. Anyone know?
Avatar n tn Hello, I have been taking Nasonex for 5 months now and starting 10 days ago, I started experiencing weird sensation in the left area of my chest, it would only happen 3 to 6 times a day and it would feel like someone just tapped the someone of my chest with a finger or two, after 3 or 4 days experiencing this, I just completly stopped using Nasonex and have been off Nasonex for 5 days and 11 hours now.
Avatar m tn Suggestion of the two things I have mentioned can; not saying they WILL. I would try them in combination.
Avatar n tn difficulty swallowing, sensitivity to light, insomnia, anxiety, hyperactivity and restlessness, numbness and tingling, spasms of coronary arteries, palpitations, chest pain, irregular heartbeat, salt and carb cravings, zaps or vibrations, breast tenderness and premenstrual irritation. - Many times we lack only one element in our diet and it causes so many problems. Natural sources: pumpkin seeds, spinach and kale.
Avatar m tn s what competition is supposed to do. But noooooo... I went to CVS today and the price was $218 for Nasonex. That is a total ripoff... Why did the price go up? So what's the difference between Merck, the manufacturer, and a robber with a gun on the street? Answer: The gun. Merck robs you without using a gun. Very clever, taking advantage of peoples' medical conditions.
Avatar m tn I know that many cold remedies have Phenedrine and/or other stimlulants and I am wondering if any Afib patients out there take Nasonex or Flonase wihtout any problems.
Avatar n tn Started on Rhinochort in October-went to Nasonex, it worked better. Tried to discontinue medications in Feb and he had immediate symptoms again - returned to it. For the most part, both medications have resolved his symptoms. I did notice over the last year he has been moodier/yells at us/crys over little things - but attributed to his age. Live in notice over the last year he has been moodier/yells at us/crys over little things - but attributed to his age.
Avatar n tn I have also been on a regimen of Nasonex and other sorts of nasal sprays that you need a prescription for. Once again, I saw temporary relief only to have the symptoms return. This summer (and now September) of 2008 has been really bad. (I lived in Japan from July 2006 to May 2008, and for some reason I had few allergic symptoms there). I am, like ever, waking up in the middle of the night unable to breathe because my nose gets congested. I blow my nose, but nothing gets drained.
Avatar m tn The momthasone is in VERY low doses and is delivered exactly where it is needed, and used. Very little if any of this medication will make it into your body to start with. Them methylprednisolone is an oral steroid. You are wise to be concerned about it. You are on a very low dose of that (for oral steroids) though and for a short time. I can't tell you how long it will stay in your system, but your should not experience any side effects from this very limited exposure.
184342 tn?1282588750 I took Colten to a pediatric allergist today, he seems to be suffering from allergies - DH has bad allergies, and as a child needed shots- but Colten is 17 months old, and weighs 25 lbs... she gave me a sample of nasonex to give to him, saying it had been approved for kids 2 and up, but that Colten was a good sized 17 month old, and he'd probably do fine with it- so she wanted to start with that, and then maybe do some blood testing in 3 months if he didn't seem to be doing better...
Avatar m tn But afterwards, I had methylprednisolone and momethasone/nasonex as prescribed by my doctor. I have read in the internet that both are corticosteroid and acts like immunosuppresant? I will only take methylprednisolone 16 mg twice a day for 5 days only and momethasone/nasonex (500 mcg/g) two sprays a day for 1 month. I am worrying that it may affect my hiv test result in my 6th month? can they delay antibodies to show up or something?
Avatar n tn However in your son’s case the symptoms are far apart, except for the rash and fever. These are also signs of meningitis, but that is a more serious condition and will not linger for so long without serious repercussions. Diabetes should definitely be looked into. Rocky Mountain spotted fever is another possibility. Refractive errors of the eye should also be looked into. Fungal infections too should be investigated. Hope this helps. Do discuss these possibilities with your son’s pediatrician.
Avatar n tn Nose specialist prescribed him with Nasonex 2x spray per day, Ceflour antibiotic, Anpro Loratadine, and Roximeth. But i worry about the STeroid effect to my son. . So i stop after taken 1 tablet of Roximeth after i found out this is steroid. Please advise any side effect if my son stop this Roximeth after 1 tablet ? I'm 53 years old .no ringing . but hear people talk again like a echo..plus the sound of putting a sea shell up to my hear..I learn to put the tv on really loud .than doesn't bug me as much..
Avatar n tn Hi, I'm leaving in Sweden since 4 years, and my asthma get worse and worse each year, because, unfortunately for me, it's sensitive to the cold and the hygrometry. Here I take everyday a lot of medicines (SINGULAIR, SERETIDE, VENTOLINE, PREDNISOLONE, NASONEX, LORATADINE), especially Cortisone so I'm largely overweight (85 kg for 165 cm). I decided to diet 3 days ago, and i choose to follow the ATKINS program, which works really great with me.
Avatar n tn I started feeling depressed and anxious after I started taking Nasonex. Been off it for 2 days but still feel very shaky, depressed, anxious, I can't sleep and I am very dizzy. I have suffered from depression in the past and was on meds but I am off of them. I don't know. I just need to hear other people's opinons of this. Any input is greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn I have allergies and just figured out that I have postnasal drip, ear drainage issues, and stomach issues due to the mucus.. I wonder will Singular work with this ? The last time I tried taking antihistamines I felt drugged. I have been enjoying the better relief with a nasal steroid I have been using twice a day, is this safe for long term use? Thank you for your time !!!
