I certainly hope so. Oh also, I do take benadryl to help with the itching and it certainly does help, but I hate the drowsiness that I have the next day. Fexofenadine may be better. Thanks again!

My doctor told me benadryl is safe to take.

alright so everyday for a good while at random times first I get a weird almost burning sensation then i brake out in little red dots randomly covering my arms, and on my chest, then the itching happens its a horrible itch that is again random this is the worst itching I have ever encountered my chest back arm and legs all itch it also feels as if someone cranked up the heat I get really hot. Please help! I take benadryl everyday and it does stop it but then I'm sleepy all day....

I was recently on the antibiotic Bactrim and learned that I am allergic to sulfa. I am broken out in a very red rash on (not hives) my body. I am no longer taking Bactrim. I stopped immediately and am now taking Levaquin. This is my second day with this rash and it is much worse than yesterday. Do rashes generally get worse before they get better? Also, how long, on average, can I expect to havr this rash? I am taking Benedryl to help wth itchiness but it does not seem to be that helpful.

Try some be Benadryl. I know it's not specifically a pain med but when I worked in OB we gave Benadryl for a lot of things- helps you and your muscles relax.

Those two are about all you can take, as well as Sudafed and Benadryl. The good stuff that works fast is off limits lol. Good luck, I've been fighting my cold for almost a week now. I also use vicks and it helps a lot.

Woke up 2 hours later feeling like my body was being poked by pins,it was hot and terribly itchy on my back, leg and head and I was wheezing. Used my inhaler took Benadryl and Allegra and used the hydrocortisone 1% cream all over. Bingo, I must be allergic to the tramadol. I am stopping it today!!!

Be double sure you drink lots of liquids when you take any antihistamine while treating (well, all the time actually). They can really dry you at as it is and I noticed I was urinating less frequently when I took Allegra (Fexofenadine) during the day and the Benedryl at night. I heard benedryl is not good to take while being pregnant I'm just getting over mines but mines started as a ear infection and then turnt into a cold so I would drinks teas and sweat it out alittle and drink orange juice I didn't take any medicines bc seems like nothing was safe but antibiotics but I'm against that while being pregnant but call your dr and see what he/she says

i went to the hospital and the doctor said that i have urticaria, she prescribed me a medicine called fexofenadine. the med is very helpful everytime the rashes appears, i just take the medicine and the rashes will gone but i have to take it everyday, i dont know if this medicine have side effects.

You can Take benadryl and unisom. Unisom taken with vitamin b12 they actually prescribe to help with morning sickness.
