Avatar f tn I take 120 mg morphine er and I need to know how long it takes for the medicine to kick in. I also don't understand what percentage of the dose ( or mg ) produces relief in what time stages. I hope my question is understandable.
Avatar f tn Television has traditionally been the most common source of seizures in PSE. For patients with PSE, it is especially hazardous to view television in a dark room, at close range, or when the television is out of adjustment and is showing a rapidly flickering image. No cure is available for PSE, although the sensitivity of some patients may diminish over time. Medical treatment is available to reduce sensitivity, with sodium valproate being commonly prescribed.

Avatar f tn The total amount of time really depends on the the T1 sequence (longest sequence in the study) used and whether or not they have to redo an acquisition or not. One a 1.5 tesla machine with newer software, the T1 Proton Spin Echo (PSE) takes about 10 min. A T1 Fast Spin Echo tales about 8 min and a T1 Turbo Spin Echo takes about 5 min. Since there are two T1 sequences (pre and post GAD) you can chop 10 mi out of the study by using TSE vs. PSE T1 sequences.
Avatar f tn m in my third trimester and spent 9 hours in the er because my resting heart rate was 120! But my blood pressure was 110/60. My BP stayed low but my heart rate would sky rocket! The doctors had no idea what was goin on.
Avatar f tn My babies heart beat is only 60. is it big problem. And also i couldnt feel her moving ,i am in 19 week now.
Avatar f tn I have headaches, dizziness and feeling faint. My heart rate goes up to 120 if I do anything, sometimes resting its 100. My BP bounces. It's 100 over 60 laying sown but if I just get up it's 150 over 90. My right arm is numb and leg is numb. But everytime I go to th3 er they say my hearts fast bit looks fine, cardiologist said its fine. The er just looks me over and says you're fine go home or go see a doc. Then the doctors don't know what's wrong.
Avatar f tn I was rushed downstairs to ER. My blood pressure was initially 186/120. My normal range is 120/60. Tachycardia, severe dehydration, and my potassium was low enough after I was given saline, I was infused with potassium by IV. My blood pressure after I was done was 100/73. I’ve had endoscopy and colonoscopy that we’re clear. What are the doctors going to do after the protein test to rule out multiple myeloma?
Avatar m tn Would anyone know the difference between Piriton and Fexofenadine? Which is stronger?
Avatar m tn I'm having some issues with blood pressure, I think. I'm not very knowledgeable on the subject. I believe I'm supposed to be 120/80? I took my blood pressure a few moments ago and I'm at 108/61, with a heart rate of 41. My numbers are usually always around here. My main concern with this is that I'm always very cold, and it's quite irritating. Are these numbers something I should be concerned about, or could this be considered normal?
Avatar f tn It was anywhere from 90-120 resting. I went to cardiologist- wore a holter for 24hrs. 7 day event monitor plus a stress test with echo. All came back normal. I was told they seen a very small SVT but it wasn't even worth treating. Months later I started exercising and it went away. Well then it started again I went to the ER and they just said tachycardia with no known cause. All labs were normal. But then I noticed that this happens 2 weeks before menstrual cycle.
1072295 tn?1255449536 he says ive to go the er,but its caught me at a realy bad time so just woundering is this urgent that i go the er or could it wait? i mean is it important that my bp is low?
Avatar f tn You need to go to the ER or call your doctor. Pulse over 140 is way too high especially while pregnant. My pulse runs about 100 & I'm 23 weeks. Even if it gets over 120, I'm told to call my doctor. Pre preg my pulse ran between 60-80 bmp (which is a normal pulse). Let us know what they say. I'm concerned for you.

Avatar m tn After being ill with covid-19 last month I've had reoccuring heart palpitations and elevated HR that doesn't seem to calm down. I went to the ER and they noticed sinus tachyardia on the ECG. I have a history of heart malfunction. I was diagnosed with pericarditis and myocarditis at the age of 18 5 years ago and had troponin levels > 700. There was structural damage to the heart muscle but I recovered fully. But the question is, could this be the reason that my HR beats faster?
Avatar f tn My resting heartrate while lying down is between 60 and 70. Sitting it's between 70 and 80. Standing, walking and doing light activities it can be anywhere between 90 and 120. I'm 32 years old. I have Mitral valve prolapse with mild regurgitation and inappropriate tachycardia. I take 12.5 mgs of Metoprolol Succinate ER and can hopegully wean off completely soon.
489924 tn?1209491123 First I can advise that as soon as this happend you should of called the Ambulance or rushed her to the ER. There are numerous test that should be run in order to get a correct assumption of the problem at hand what I can tell you is based only off what you have told me. 1. Talk to you DOC about PSE (Photosensitive epilepsy) This is reply would have to be 3 pages long in order for me to correctly explain about it. But do some research of your own 2.
Avatar f tn I feel a bit tired, but not really dizzy. Like I said, usually it about 115/60. I take diovan 120/12.5 for mild HBP and verapamil 120 er X 2 for PVC's. Are the lower readings still OK?
