Avatar f tn I would recommend a Toyota or Honda. Nissans are nice, I have one myself, but they cost more for repairs and all of that and don't last as long as the other two car makers(just look out on the road to see what old cars are still running). My friend has been driving her Toyota for 8 years and has had no problems at all with it. My fiance has had his Honda for 10 years and still going strong.
Avatar f tn It depends on the car. I had a Nissan Altima coupe and my hubby has an Infiniti G35 (both smaller two door cars) his car is actually smaller than mine but his seats move forward more so we were able to get a carseat in and out of his car but not mine. However in his car if the carseat were in the back it'd have to go behind the passenger seat (there is no middle seat) and the seat has to be so far forward that you can't have anyone sitting in the passenger seat.

Avatar n tn I have had continuous nasal drip for over a year. My sinuses are clear(Just came from an ent specialist who went in and looked). I've tried at least 4 different antibiotics, 4sprays, etc. all with no change. It is nearly impossible to swallow and the coughing it is causing has caused me to tear the last nissan stomach surgery I had. The ent said to go back to my regular Dr.(who, in my opinion)is less qualified for this.
Avatar n tn Hi, I know this is kind of outdated, but its quite interesting topic. I have a girlfriend that has (seriously painful) esophagus spasm. Well the doctor have the impression that it has nothing to do with the nissen fundoplication surgery that she also have went through. But I have another opinion. And when I read this and this previous thread : http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Gastroenterology/Esophageal-Spasm-following-Nissan-Lap-Fundiplication/show/232251 I can see that it has to be a connection.
Avatar f tn E I even rung my endocronologist who dx me in 2004 with multi nodular goitre and he has never heard of it, but also in 2004 my thyroid antibodies were high he said. My thyroid is fine, my symptons fit hashimotos thyroiditus or whatever it is called but I thought the thyroid had to be underactive also to have it.
Avatar f tn This lab result was also in 2004. A nuclear medicine test in 2004 indicated a multinodular goiter. Thanks for your time and info.
Avatar m tn Hello there.I suffered a Piuitary Apoplexy in 2004 and am now on various hormone replacements. These include Steroids(hydrocortone), Growth Hormone 0.2mg per day, Testogel, Thyroid medication and Statins. I'm from Ireland where luckily thanks to a state program I only pay 125 Euro per month for my drugs. However after years of waiting I am on the verge of obtaining a Green Card to live and work in the United States. I'm aware that Growth Hormine in paticular is expensive.
Avatar n tn The American Thyroid Association revised the TSH in 2004 and states that .3 to 3.0 are correct reference ranges to use to diagnois thyroid disease disorders. the OLD ranges which are still established in many offices are .5 to 5.5. So it depends on what reference range the lab that reads your test uses. Really for me - personally - 4.71 to devasting to my well being with hypothyroidism. I hate being over 1.5 truthfully. I am symptom fee around a .
Avatar n tn Does Nissan Fundoplication Surgery work? Can the surgery become undone (the stomach tie release over time)? Can the surgical site become infected over time? I had Nissan Fundoplication Surgery to take care of my severe GERD. This was done in December of 2007. It worked for a while, about 6 months, and now does not work at all. I have been prescribed 2 Aciphex and 2 Zantac tablets a day. This is more medication than what I was taking before the surgery.
Avatar n tn i started taking carbimazole again but was concerned as in 2004 my doc prescribed too much and my thyroid(T4) ended up at 5, marfinally Hypo. My T4 has now settled at 24 (with minimal tablets), marginally above the endos range but my doc is obsessed with getting it down to 10. I feel absolutely fine in myself. I have a few eye probs but had these in 2004 and they righted themselves after 12 months. Any thoughts?
800427 tn?1324945719 so they did a nissan to rebuild a new valve from a piece of my stomach. it was a long long road to recovery as many of you know but i was one of the lucky ones whos heartburn was resolved...i didnt even have to take antacids anymore. unfortunatly i wasnt lucky in that they think they may have hit the vegas nerve during surgery so ive had a ton of digestive problems including stomach peraylisis and other nerve type issues in the digestive tract.
Avatar f tn Dizziness can happen while trying to adjust thyroid levels....annoying it is! I get that with my thyroid and my female cycle right before my menses.
800427 tn?1324945719 HI and welcome to the GERD forum. I have not had a Nissen, but wanted to congratulate u on ur pregnancy and wish u a healthy delivery. I hope there is a member that can share their experience with u. May I ask , what has ur dr said in regards to this question?
Avatar f tn I have been struggling for 10 years! I had a surgery in November 2004 where the removal of the entire thyroid gland was done. I was nervous about this whole thing because I loved to sing and was a high soprano. Now, my range is very, very limited. Concerning my voice, is the minor thing. Before surgery I had been to a couple of endocrinologist and they took the usual blood test and nothing very significant showed up. I had lost a patch of hair, which caused concern.
Avatar f tn The group is traveling in three vehicles -- a 2004 Nissan Quest, a 1995 Mercury Villager and a remodeled Toyota Tundra, according to Whitmore. The group was reported missing Saturday afternoon -- after it held a prayer meeting. "They left behind personal belongings and written notes ... [saying] they're going to see dead relatives and Jesus," Whitmore said.
Avatar m tn hi, Hado Nissan a year ago, normal operation, since than was not able to vomit, I have cramps, can not sleep, and would love to throw up and sleep well, how can i do it, will I ever be able to vomit when I feel sick? please sb advice, i just heave and feel terrible I am desperate, need to go back to see my doctor and really wish I did not go for the operation could it be that it is too tight? can I have the Nissan removed?
341655 tn?1240368839 Yes. The surgery for a hiatal hernia is the Nissen Fundaplication, where a portion of the fundus is wrapped around the esophagus in the area of the lower esophageal sphincter. As for the type, 90% of all hiatal hernias are sliding hernias, not paraesophageal, so it's probably a sliding hiatal hernia that you have.
Avatar m tn I had five surgeries after I fell in a puddle of milk in a store, foot, hip, back, neck. Then last year the thyroid out, the gallbladder out and the nissan fundoplication, then the fundoplication this March and the one in ten days. So does the pain pump automatically pump pain meds or do you only do it when you feel you need it? The last time I got pnemonia as the pain meds were so strong they kept me in bed sleeping and I could not get up to walk around.
Avatar n tn I received results of blood work that ranked my glucose level at 114. I have had a Nissan Fundoplication for severe GERD a couple years ago. Has anyone had a similar experience? What could possibly be happening to me? I see the surgeon that performed Nissan this week and was wondering what questions I should ask.
