To dose thyroid you absolutely need to be tested for at a minimum Free T4 and Free T3 tests. Typically people need to be at least in the middle of the reference range for BOTH thyroid hormones if not a bit higher int he range.
Perhaps the Armour is putting too much strain on your adrenals.
Adrenal dysfunction must be addressed first before thyroid dysfunction
is addressed.
Situations like this should be monitored closely by your doctor/endocrinologist who may have to test you for adrenal fatigue/insufficiency.

Hello, My armour thyroid medication was increased to 240mg from 180mg and I have been on this dosage for approximately 6 weeks. My latest blood test results were as follows: T3 4.6 (2.3-4.2) T4 1.3 (0.8-1.8) and TSH 0.03 (0.50-5.20) Over the last few years I have increased my thyroid dosage starting very low and now at the high end. I feel better each time I increase but never feeling like I can be at my optimal best.
Should i ask my doctor? Why can you buy natural thyroid hormone products and yet need a prescription for others? I just dont want to do something stupid.
