Avatar m tn I was in a half cast, basically on the back of my leg and below the foot for a touch over a week, so I was unable to move my ankle and leg and was on crutches. Then 2 days ago I went to the outpatients department and the doc took the cast off me and told me to start walking on it with the aid of crutches as it isn't the weight bearing bone. He said that the bone will heal by itself without the cast and even with me putting a bit of pressure on it.
903138 tn?1266767041 When I went to the ER, the doctor popped it back in after taking xrays and said there were no broken bones. Its 3 months later and my finger still looks like someone stuck a giant marble in my knuckle and its still a blue-ish color. I can't fully bend or extend my finger and its extremely painful. I usually heal quickly, shouldn't this be getting better, not worse?

Avatar n tn They have a cople of site that have mp3 files of aa and na speakers and they are pretty good to listen to and it is free to download. If you don't have an mp3 player you can listen off of the computer, but today so many electronic have the mp3 players on them it is a small chance you don't have one.I actually did that I was listening to some files to remember some of my mother language.
Avatar f tn She is not allowed to have one because she is not even responsible enough to take care of her DS/Mp3, etc.. She states that she took it because her friends have one and she wanted one. When she was younger (2nd grade) she would steal from her teacher. Now she lied enough until we caught her up in this one. We made her apologize to the father and the son, but that is not enough.
Avatar f tn Hi ..right leg broken severly after 7 months no improvement in bone..
1542537 tn?1293207098 Hi, broken bones take a varying amount of time to heal, mostly depending upon the type of bone broken, the age of the person, and the way in which the bone is broken. Larger broken bones, for example the bones in the thigh, or both bones of leg would take a great deal longer to heal, usually six weeks to three months in the average healthy adult. Begin physical therapy as soon as is practical. That will help.
645390 tn?1338555377 You choose music that they have some type of exact beats and they put it on a MP3 player. There are measurements on a GaitRite system that they check every visit. (I am not sure what this is exactly.) I have never been involved in anything like this. What do you all think? (you are compensated 20 every visit, and at the end, get to keep the MP3 player) Interesting huh?
Avatar f tn Has anyone broken their pelvis during pregnancy? I broke mine in a car accident years ago and never had any problems with my first baby. This baby dropped at 28wks and my dr says he is almost certain this baby has broken it again. I'm scheduled for csection next week, which is a huge relief with the pain, but he said it could take 6-12wks to heal. Was wondering what other peoples experience was? Did it get better after delivery?

Avatar f tn Has anyone broken their Tibia and fibia? I broke mine two years ago and am still having problems. I have a plate and eleven screws. I am thinking of having them taken out in the hopes that it will releive some of the discomfort. Any information from someone who has done this would be great.
Avatar m tn I would also try to straighten it out throughout the day by putting it in my left pant leg between my pants and my leg. Anyway... it still works fine now it just has a slight curvature to the left. My question is could there still be complications associated with the fracture or do you think I'm fine? Also do you think it's possible that my penis did not fully develop to it's full potential size due to the fracture?
Avatar n tn Tibia is the shin bone that bears most of the weight and the Fibula is the splint bone located on the outside of the lower leg. In the case of a closed fracture there may be swelling and discolouration due to the large amounts of blood that emanate from a fractured bone. The usual healing time for a mid-shaft Tibia and Fibula fracture treated with cast immobilisation is 12 to 16 weeks.
Avatar f tn I had my MP3 n it help a whole lot. Also had a vibrating massager so after 13 hrs she came. It didnt get worse untilmy water was broken but Lucky she came 1 hr after that. So hope this help n good luck with ur water birth!
Avatar n tn Hi about a year ago while i was doing jumping jacks i pulled a muscle in my left leg now i have a pain in my inner groin, when i step a certain way or try to do any jumping exercises.
Avatar f tn The usual period for healing is around 6-8 weeks, but lower leg fractures take a little more to recover. The initial one week period is also taken into account. Follow up is advised every two weeks to see whether alignment is proper or not. In case of misalignment found at any point of treatment surgery might be necessary. Hope this information was helpful. Best.

Avatar f tn s leg makes this crunching feeling when you touch/move it, the vet also said she felt that but said it was not broken bones. If not broken bones then what is it? And how long should I expect it to take to be better? I know with humans it can be around 6-8 wks....is it the same with animals?
