In 2005 I had a fall in forward area in which my lt tibia was broken. I underwent the surgery and 2 nails were implanted then .now I can turn my leg fully and there is no pain .Is it advisable to remove these nails or should I continue with them .The bones have united fully and the area is asymbotic.

I broke my scaphoid two years ago, after 8 weeks in a cast it had not united. A year after breaking it i had a screw fixation and a bone graft. I was wondering if it is normal to still have pain when moving and unable to weight bear on the wrist which makes it difficult getting in and out of the bath, for example. It is now 8 months since the surgery and about wo weeks ago i developed a hard lump on my wrist on the thumb side which pokes out when the wrist is turned towards my little finger.

I am still suffering a broken leg, still unable to walk more than 50m and unable to sleep thru at night due to incredible leg pain. The only other option available to me at present is amputation and I am not prepared to go down this path until i am free from all other body pain so I can determine what pain my foot is giving me.

I was in a half cast, basically on the back of my leg and below the foot for a touch over a week, so I was unable to move my ankle and leg and was on crutches. Then 2 days ago I went to the outpatients department and the doc took the cast off me and told me to start walking on it with the aid of crutches as it isn't the weight bearing bone.
He said that the bone will heal by itself without the cast and even with me putting a bit of pressure on it.
