Avatar f tn I have multilevel chronic lumbar disc degeneration and spondylosis with moderate to mild, predominately bony stenosis at L3-4, and to progressively less degrees L2-L3,L4-L5,and K1-2. Stenosis are right dominant from L4 up to L1 and fairly symmetric at L4-5. How serious is this prognosis?
Avatar f tn MK4 is produced via conversion of vitamin K1 in the body, in the testes, pancreas and arterial walls.[2] While major questions still surround the biochemical pathway for the transformation of vitamin K1 to MK4, studies demonstrate that the conversion is not dependent on gut bacteria, occurring in germ-free rats[3][4] and in parenterally-administered K1 in rats.
Avatar m tn I have a soon to be 6 years old boy in K1 and he is finding it difficult to adjust to the classroom ethic. My son had a delay in speech and he started early childhood program in the same elementary school in special education for 2 hours a day while he attended day care for the remainder of the day 3 times a week. He was in this program for 2+ years before he was finally admitted to K1 this school year.
Avatar n tn I was very sick when I wrote my last comments. I was dealing with vitamin K2 MK-7 toxicity and vitamin K2-MK-7 induced liver and kidney damage. I was not really ready to share certain things. MK-7 is now out of my system, so I feel somewhat better. I have had liver disease for 12 years. It started with liver pain problems, but over the years, I made some serious dietary supplement mistakes, so I now have severe liver disease (and I now also have kidney disease).
Avatar m tn I was in a half cast, basically on the back of my leg and below the foot for a touch over a week, so I was unable to move my ankle and leg and was on crutches. Then 2 days ago I went to the outpatients department and the doc took the cast off me and told me to start walking on it with the aid of crutches as it isn't the weight bearing bone. He said that the bone will heal by itself without the cast and even with me putting a bit of pressure on it.

Avatar f tn Both of them were born in Singapore, where we have lived for 14 years. My daughter attended a kindergarten (grade K1), and my son a playgroup, before we relocated to Houston in Nov 1997. The kids adjusted fine. My daughter is going to 1st grade this fall, and my son has been attending a half-day daycare. Now my husband's job needs him to be back to Singapore for 6 months. Instead of him going alone, we would like to move the family back for that 6 months period.

Avatar f tn Hi ..right leg broken severly after 7 months no improvement in bone..
1542537 tn?1293207098 Hi, broken bones take a varying amount of time to heal, mostly depending upon the type of bone broken, the age of the person, and the way in which the bone is broken. Larger broken bones, for example the bones in the thigh, or both bones of leg would take a great deal longer to heal, usually six weeks to three months in the average healthy adult. Begin physical therapy as soon as is practical. That will help.
Avatar m tn Also supplement with low dose Vitamin K2 as there may be some benefit there in reverse calcium transport and it seems it is not clear whether K1 to K2 conversion is sufficient, even though I get a lot of K1. I also supplement with Vit D3 as I have seen some research (a presentation given by a cardiologist) which implicates low vitamin D in heart disease.
Avatar f tn Has anyone broken their pelvis during pregnancy? I broke mine in a car accident years ago and never had any problems with my first baby. This baby dropped at 28wks and my dr says he is almost certain this baby has broken it again. I'm scheduled for csection next week, which is a huge relief with the pain, but he said it could take 6-12wks to heal. Was wondering what other peoples experience was? Did it get better after delivery?

Avatar f tn Has anyone broken their Tibia and fibia? I broke mine two years ago and am still having problems. I have a plate and eleven screws. I am thinking of having them taken out in the hopes that it will releive some of the discomfort. Any information from someone who has done this would be great.
Avatar m tn I would also try to straighten it out throughout the day by putting it in my left pant leg between my pants and my leg. Anyway... it still works fine now it just has a slight curvature to the left. My question is could there still be complications associated with the fracture or do you think I'm fine? Also do you think it's possible that my penis did not fully develop to it's full potential size due to the fracture?
Avatar n tn Tibia is the shin bone that bears most of the weight and the Fibula is the splint bone located on the outside of the lower leg. In the case of a closed fracture there may be swelling and discolouration due to the large amounts of blood that emanate from a fractured bone. The usual healing time for a mid-shaft Tibia and Fibula fracture treated with cast immobilisation is 12 to 16 weeks.
Avatar n tn Hi about a year ago while i was doing jumping jacks i pulled a muscle in my left leg now i have a pain in my inner groin, when i step a certain way or try to do any jumping exercises.
Avatar f tn The usual period for healing is around 6-8 weeks, but lower leg fractures take a little more to recover. The initial one week period is also taken into account. Follow up is advised every two weeks to see whether alignment is proper or not. In case of misalignment found at any point of treatment surgery might be necessary. Hope this information was helpful. Best.

Avatar f tn s leg makes this crunching feeling when you touch/move it, the vet also said she felt that but said it was not broken bones. If not broken bones then what is it? And how long should I expect it to take to be better? I know with humans it can be around 6-8 wks....is it the same with animals?
Avatar m tn I was in a car crash a year ago, they xray-ed my wrist and said that it was fine. After two months of pain I went back and they did another, and they said that it had been broken the whole time. Sometimes the fractures do not show right away do to inflammation from the accident.
