I was in a nearly fatal car accident in December. My injuries were, a broken Clavicle (which was treated with a plate and 12 screws) A punctured lung and laserated liver. 11 broken ribs (6 of which were plated. With a total of 42 screws currently holding them together) And last, not least.... A broken pelvis. I am writing you hoping you still read this, desperate for your answers!! I do not recall doing anything... physically to disrupt the placement of the screws. I noticed the bump tho.
He was hit by a car, and you took him to the vet. What injuries did the vet discover specifically? Did he give any medications for pain and inflammation?
i don think i have broken my leg because i can walk around.nd when i touch and feel my leg i dont think its broken.htere is easy and free movement just that it is swollen.is it possible to have swellin even if there is no fracture?
in case there is swelling is it wise to imerse my leg in warm water as there are bruises on my leg and getting scared that water might go in.

I have CONSTANT lower leg pain....restless at night is NOW happending during the day - when sitting or lying down - not when standing - its like I have many many little charlie horses going on all at one.in BOTH LEGS....I have lower back pelvic injuries for '94 being hit by car....but things are gettng WORSE....I dont understand the Vit D levels on my test....I have HORRIBLE chocolate cravings ......I do take .
my boyfriend was in a car wreck while he was crossing a street and he has the folllowing injuries a fractured leg a cracked pelvis and his right arm is broken in 3 places . he was sent to bedrest and keep his left leg elevated above the hip and he is not allowed to do much . he wants to walk and move around and he is so depressed cause he can't and it hurts me to see him like this.
I have a left leg ACL injury (tear, not complete but severe) as diagnosed by an MRI (10/9/08) & visits to the Emergency room (09/12/08) and a regular doctor (on going). I have no medical insurance and dispite approval for 'Medical Charity coverage' via the local hospital, I can not find anyone who will see me about this injury.
This morning our neighbor came over to tell us Jasper, our 5 year old cat, was under the hood of his work truck when he crunk it up. We took him to the vet immediately. He has a broken leg (possibly two broken legs) and may be paralyzed, a broken tail that has to be amputated, a gash on his backside, a gash in his face and possibly a broken pelvis along with possible internal injuries.
However, not being able to workout was really affecting my mental health, so I started overdoing lower body/running everyday and ended up straining my left quad on the leg press a little over a month ago. The pain seems to be off and on but if I walk around too much it hurts afterwards and takes awhile to feel "okay" again. Well after injury number two, I started doing some light upper body again since my shoulder was getting a little better.
I'll been have so much chronic low back pain from a work injuries accident that happen about a year and a half ago. I had my daugther walk on my back and It still hurt, nothing relieves the pain. I been to the doctor and I had X-ray on my low back on they said that it mild arthritis.
Every time I take the fall on my lips/chin/jaw and sustain serious injuries like displaced jaw, broken tooth, stitched up lips. This has become scary now. I just fall and my body doesn't react to protect me - no cushioning by hands, no turning away of face, no other leg, or anything else.
Have consulted GP and Neuro specialists, but no diagnosis so far. No other symptoms at the time of fall like a black out. Just the smallest of tripping or loss of balance, and it's face down.
18 months ago I had a bad accident at work multiple injuries. Two of the many injuries were #1 A broken femur in two places requiring internal fixation and taking knee apart and #2 A crushed pelvis repaired one week later with plate and screws. This had to wait a week because of my week condition from other injuries. The last surgeon would not put me on blood thinner because he was concerned about internal bleeding.
Almost immediately afterwards, the middle of my lower leg started bruising and became extremely swollen. The swelling was larger than my knee and stuck out more towards my outer leg. I followed RICE over the next day and a half, but it kept swelling and the bruise going darker, which I expected. Now, the swelling has gone down a lot along with the bruising. The area is red now and hard as a rock but is still very tender.
I felt the ledes and i felt no broken bones i squzed her feet she polded it back but i thank she only feels pressure. once in a wile she monuvers on top of her feet but the one leg is like she is standing on her top nuckels. what is wrong with her in your oppion. i dont have money to taker her to the vets i just lost my job. pleese just tell my if it is life threting.
I went to a general doctor for my knee/leg pain. He sent me to take x-rays results were nothing wrong with the bone now she wants me to go get a MRI done wich costs alot and i have no insurance and am unemployed no one has physically examened me only told them my symptoms im wondering if there is any other option besides the MRI ????
was unpersonable and borderline rude when he told me he needed to keep her and xray her. He said she might have a broken back (without emotion, his lack of empathy is appalling.) I and my son are very concerned for her, she is more than a pet to us. What will the quality of her life be if her back is broken? Will we have to put her down? I need to try to prepare myself and my son for this. A response is greatly appreciated.
I had an open tibia fracture and a fibia fracture. I have a metal rod in my leg now from knee to ankle. I am still experiencing moderate to severe pain in my leg and also my lower back and neck. I have severe headaches about 5 days a week. I have some xrays that i was wondering if i could have some one look at and let me know if they can see a reason why i might be experiencing the pain that i am.
I was run over by a car 10 months ago and suffered a broken left fibula in two places and tibula. I was treated for the broken leg and the bones have healed. However, I was never treated or examined for any other possible injuries. Two months ago as a pedestrian hit by a drunk driver suffering no broken bones (parking lot at noon, low speed) but severe right knee and leg injuries. Hydrocodone taken every 4 hours the 500mg tab with Naproxen twice daily. Two weeks ago started having pain in upper right quadrant radiating through to back. Terrible headaches, severe pain through injured knee area with great upwelling of bruising continued through physical therapy. Waves of nausea.
