Avatar m tn On December 5, 2013, i broke my tib fib playing soccer. The bones both broke in half and were displaced. The orthopedic surgeon said i didn't need surgery and my bone was repositioned and i was put in a cast. I had my sixteenth birthday with a cast on my right leg and i have had to cancel my driving test as i can't drive with a cast on. I will be with a full walking cast for another 2 weeks (its been 5) and then i will have a short walking cast for another 3 weeks.
Avatar f tn Now its red you can visibly see my veins, and its very swollen, and the pain feels like i am walking with a broken leg, and the stiffness in the morning and all through the day is uncontrollable. i went to my Orthopedic doctor, but i had to see his nurse practitioner instead. I got X-rays, she came back with them and said "see me in three weeks to see if it gets worse". she thinks i might have something to do with edema.
Avatar f tn I was playing soccer when i went into a tackle my Body got twisted around but my foot and lower leg stayed still. I felt a massive pain through my knee on the inside of my knee and heard and felt a snap. My team mates imediatly came running over because they said they heard a snap sound to and that it looked nasty when i did it. My coach put ice on it and strapped it up but i can only put a tiny amount of weight on it before my knee collapses.
Avatar m tn I did this whilst playing soccer. The doctor said i do not need surgery. I have a cast from my toes all the way up my leg its been on now for 5 weeks. How long until i can get this cast off or at least start putting weight on my leg. And how long until i can start playing soccer again.
Avatar n tn t think of any reason this rash would occur (no known cause in medical journals), but I have noticed the rash appeared soon after soccer season and seems to have been located where the bottom of his shin guards in soccer rested on the shin. Internet research showed some connection between shin guards, urea-formaldehyde resin, and contact dermititis. Is it possible that Lichen Planus was contracted through the same resin?
480331 tn?1310403529 Well, I was worried about and the specialist saw that, so to placate me he said put the boy in sports, like soccer. He was already in karate which does a heckofalot more stretching and posture work than soccer. Scoot has anxiety and anger management issues, so we let him quit karate about the time he went into play therapy. There are only so many problems we can deal with at a time. It's four years later: he plays soccer in the fall and baseball in the spring.
Avatar f tn During one of my games i went and set a pick on this girl, anyways i did it right but in the end she hit my leg and let a bruise from my knee down until where my ankle started. It has been two months and the bruise is gone but there is still a tiny little pump. You can barely notice until someone or something touches it and when they touch it, it still friggin hurts. So i was wondering should i go to the doctors or just let it do its thing?
Avatar n tn Now when i carry something in my left hand i loose all felling in my left leg and left side of body. Doctor informs me that plat is still in place. But pain is getting worse. Need advise.
Avatar f tn Hi, I slipped rather badly in the snow 7 years ago and hit my leg (shin) on the step of the platform of a bus I was getting onto. It hurt and bled rather badly - too painful for me to cry and I can't take a lot of pain! Although it happened a long time ago there's a dent where I injured it and its still bruised. Is it likely I've fractured it and should I see a doctor? I've been getting cold feelings below the area and I'm worried about the dent and bruise.
Avatar f tn Exercise is fine as long as you listen to your body and know when it's time to stop. The only concern I would have with soccer is getting hit in the stomach.
Avatar f tn I have a huge lump in the middle of my leg. I went to PT and it seemed to help but whenever I exercise my leg hurts afterward. It feels very weak and I cannot sprint or kick a soccer ball without it feeling like it will tear again. My knee is also starting to ache after exercise. Is surgery still an option with it being a year old injury? Does anyone know what I can do to try to get this better? I feel like I am missing out on playing soccer and running marathons due to this.
Avatar f tn Also a soccer player and also so tempted to play through pain. Groin injuries are common in soccer. It could be a sports hernia. It could also be a healing pulled groin muscle. Does the pain increase with exertion?
Avatar m tn I was kicking a soccer ball and didn't "tense" my leg the right way, so when i kicked it my knee was loose and it started hurting. It didn't hurt to run, but whenever i try to kick the ball it does hurt a lot. Walking and running don't hurt but when i am walking or running my knee kinda pops and feels loose almost like its not in place. I am 14 years old.
Avatar f tn In the last six months ever since I played soccer and then the day after I hit my head on a desk. I have had sharp pains in my right leg on the outer part of my shin. A small patch is numb. It gets better as I sleep and worsens throughout the day. Sometimes I tingle all over or get a sharp pain in my foot right below my toes. I have felt a tingle in my back and from my neck to scalp. I am worried that the neuro didn't know but I am not sure.
Avatar n tn I broke my leg in two places and tore up my ankle ligaments about a month ago. So far my doc has been pretty good about giviing me my pain mes but i was wondering how long he will let me have my hydrocodone. I shtill have pain.
Avatar f tn ( that really *****
358594 tn?1211255129 I know it's only been 2 weeks, but I twisted my left knee, heard a loud pop, then couldn't move my leg without intense pain. Went to the doc., was told nothing was broken, probably a bad sprain. I did R.I.C.E., but it is still swollen & hot to the touch. I have been putting some pressure on it, but the major problem is that 3 months ago, I was in a car accident & had a severe ankle sprain on the right side.
771327 tn?1235397065 i like and play football after my job times, i also doing running for 15 minutes daily for fittness also. fifteen days ago i feel pain in my leg blow the knee and up from enkle which was increase gradually as i played regularly daily for 30 minutes soccor practice in ground. then i decide to rest for few days then i leave running and soccor for more then one weak and weared 3 socks in that my right leg.
Avatar m tn I was in a half cast, basically on the back of my leg and below the foot for a touch over a week, so I was unable to move my ankle and leg and was on crutches. Then 2 days ago I went to the outpatients department and the doc took the cast off me and told me to start walking on it with the aid of crutches as it isn't the weight bearing bone. He said that the bone will heal by itself without the cast and even with me putting a bit of pressure on it.
Avatar n tn If you notice the soccer players in the half time or after the full time, they do these exercises to relax the calf muscles and prevent any cramps during the play.
Avatar f tn Hi I have had a ligament reconstruction on my left knee and 11 months on I am still in pain and I cannot run or walk for longer than 10 minutes at a time and I end up in so much pain I end up limping straight away is this normal
Avatar f tn My first didn't break til I was in active labour at the hospital just minutes before I pushed. My second one had a very slow leak (thought it was just discharge lol) but it fully broke once I was in active labour at the hospital. Your water won't always break on it's own though. A lot of the time women have to get their water broken for them by the doctor.
Avatar m tn I've found massaging all the areas around the sore spot can be very helpful. I have a 10-day-old problem with my neck, from handstand pushups I believe, After a few days, the source of pain traveled down to what I thought was a knot somewhere behind my shoulder blade. I looked up pinched nerves, and it said commonly a nerve in the neck is what causes the back pain. I've been massaging my neck and getting better results almost immediately.
Avatar n tn However, a few months after the injury, i developed pitting edema in my right shin. My whole leg swells from the ankle to my hips, but the only part that pits is on top of my shin bone. It's worse when I wear anything with elastic on my legs or if I stand for a long time, but my right leg is always noticeably bigger than my left. I went to the doctor and was told it should go away after a few weeks, but that was two years ago and it is as bad as when it started. Any suggestions?
