Avatar f tn In one, someone ran the red light (mine was green). Left me with broken spleen and a broken kidney and a bunch of cracked ribs. I made a full recovery with no medical intervention. In the other, I was on a motorcycle. A car coming down this mountain road, with sharp and twisting turns, could not negotiate the turn-too much speed- and cut me off completely. I actually had an N.D.E. then. From the scene that I "observed " from up above, my lifeless body was a real mess.
Avatar m tn I was in a half cast, basically on the back of my leg and below the foot for a touch over a week, so I was unable to move my ankle and leg and was on crutches. Then 2 days ago I went to the outpatients department and the doc took the cast off me and told me to start walking on it with the aid of crutches as it isn't the weight bearing bone. He said that the bone will heal by itself without the cast and even with me putting a bit of pressure on it.
11119474 tn?1428702170 Hi everyone. I just picked up the MRI Images from my brain and cervical spine studies, in preparation of the MS Specialist appointment coming up in 3 weeks. I posted a few on my profile if anyone would like to take a peek, and tell me if they look typical of MS lesions. The radiologist says yes, but the general neuro won't call it. Thanks!
Avatar f tn If possible please upload some images (both leg and ankle).
Avatar f tn In fact, one study found that using a combination of axial images, multiplanar reconstructions, and 3D volume-rendered reformats was more accurate than using either axial images alone or axial images with multiplanar reconstructions. Evaluation of all three sets of images yielded a sensitivity of 95.8% and specificity of 99% for maxillofacial fractures. Source: https://radiologykey.
Avatar m tn First, it is essential to know that what unusual symptoms you are facing after broken screw. It may be possible that broken screw can impinge nerve and lead to some neurological symptoms. Please consult to a neurologist for a detailed approach. Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn As I initially went a few years ago for leg pain. Then one thing lead to another and so on and so forth. An orthopedist back then had thought that it was referred pain from my back. My lumbar and c spine has had disc bulges yes, annular tears, etc. I have had a surgery on my lumber spine. The neurosurgeon wants to do a surgery on my upper spine, but doesn't think right now is a good time. I have bruises on my arms and legs from multiple falls.

Avatar m tn Hi, Would appreciate advice please. Three weeks ago i fell face down and broke my left wrist. Had surgery. When I fell my right wrist hurt like crazy as well and could hardly move it or grip stuff or turn taps/bottles etc for about 2 weeks. Nobody checked my right hand although i have always complained about it. The doctors said it will pass and it isn't broken-just by looking at it.
Avatar n tn The MRI shows Lesion VIsulalization Four axial images showing the largest cross-sectional area of lesion burden for the jextacortical, periventricular, infratentorial, and deep white brain regions. Lesion summary: Volume of the t-1-hypointense lesions in the juxtacortical, periventricular, infratentorial and deep white brain regions from the patients scan. Lesions appearing hypointesnse in T1 an hyperintense in T2 Flair MR images.
Avatar m tn That being said, I would concur with Londres that it is always a good idea to consult the original physician. I would suggest that you send them cell-phone images of the wound for their opinion.
Avatar f tn Here are a few of the images from the MRI that concerned me. I am thinking about taking my netbook (mini laptop) to the doctor's follow up and sharing these with him and asking him what they are. He's a nice doctor, but I've had so many bad experiences this past year that I still feel weird bringing these up. Still, I have multiple images like the one on the upper right where there is a black patch where I am assuming there should be brain tissue??
Avatar f tn Hi ..right leg broken severly after 7 months no improvement in bone..
1542537 tn?1293207098 Hi, broken bones take a varying amount of time to heal, mostly depending upon the type of bone broken, the age of the person, and the way in which the bone is broken. Larger broken bones, for example the bones in the thigh, or both bones of leg would take a great deal longer to heal, usually six weeks to three months in the average healthy adult. Begin physical therapy as soon as is practical. That will help.
Avatar f tn Nurse practioner said, after examination, that he would be sore, but he did not have a broken hip or bone. He seems OK when seated or lying down, but when he tries to walk with the walker, he says it hurts a lot, especially in his right groin. The doctor says he could not walk at all if his hip were broken or cracked. Anyone know if this is true? Could he be walking if his hip were fractured? I want to trust the doctor, but I see my dad's expression when he walks, and then I wonder.

Avatar m tn Hyperintense signal in seen in both tibal condyles on FSEIR images appearing hypointense on T1W images suggestive of bone bruise/contusion. A moderate sized intra articular effusion is seen in the knee joint mainly in the supra and retro patellar synovial compartments. This looks hypointense on T1W images and hyperintense on T2W images. Anterior cruciate ligament is not visualized suggestive of full thickness tear. Posterior cruciate ligament appears normal.
Avatar f tn I don’t know if these two things are linked but for three months I’ve been having leg aches that I feel started after I got oral sex from an old female friend. I got kinda sick and around the same time these bumps popped up but every time I’d try to get them seen by a professional they’d disappear so I took a photo and was wondering if it could be HSV that caused the skin irritation and currently causing the leg pains and no I do not have diabetes. https://www.dropbox.
Avatar f tn Has anyone broken their pelvis during pregnancy? I broke mine in a car accident years ago and never had any problems with my first baby. This baby dropped at 28wks and my dr says he is almost certain this baby has broken it again. I'm scheduled for csection next week, which is a huge relief with the pain, but he said it could take 6-12wks to heal. Was wondering what other peoples experience was? Did it get better after delivery?
