I hate to hear about your broken leg. God does have a sense of humor. Use this time to slow down and take any help that is offered to you. I pray that you are not alone all of the time, that can make recovery so difficult. Also, too much company can be difficult. Please keep hanging around here!

I have to laugh at myself... and am very open with others in regards to my mental issues. Don't hide it well anyway, poker face has never been a talent of mine. Laughing is the best medicine. (if you can muster it up). I don't get too defensive when others poke fun... more so when they don't take it seriously. THAT is frustrating and does make it difficult to fnd humor in my situation. I always say, "self-deprecating humor is only funny when I use it".

I was in a half cast, basically on the back of my leg and below the foot for a touch over a week, so I was unable to move my ankle and leg and was on crutches. Then 2 days ago I went to the outpatients department and the doc took the cast off me and told me to start walking on it with the aid of crutches as it isn't the weight bearing bone. He said that the bone will heal by itself without the cast and even with me putting a bit of pressure on it.

Everytime I was almost asleep... she would move. Like restless leg syndrome... ugh. It was like she was detoxing... she was so fidgety... it just about drove me crazy. I was so thankful when the cat knocked something over in the kitchen and Shelby went to check it out.... AAAARRRGGGGG!!! Thought this might give a little giggle to someone having a bad day today!!! Hugs from Texas...

t hit my stomach at all but i was in horrible pain and thought that i had broken my leg. So once all of the medic's and EMT's where there the trouble was trying to get me out of the room and down the stairs, which at my house is VERY difficult. They didn't know how they were going to be able to do it b/c my stairs are so narrow and step that it left the stumped especially b/c they couldn't move my leg from the position that it was in.

I have broken my right arm/wrist more times than I care to mention. It is such an annoying thing to deal with a cast...but on the upside maybe people can SEE something is wrong for a little while. s my story , i had a broken tibia and fibula as well i was trying tio help a female from getting beaten by his boyfriend , it was slippery oitside my right leg went forward and my left leg went backwards and my big ***( lol ) landed on top of my ankle and distored my ankle and broke my tibia and fibula , i went to the hospital where i stayed two nights then on monday i had to go see the bone doctor at the other hosiptal and told me that your fracture was a bad one .

Oh, my...so glad that your sense of humor is intact. Wow, you know, it's one thing when you are actually "in range" and they tell you everything is fine, but totally another when you are below range and they say the same thing. Seems to me if you're going to play the numbers game, you have to play by the rules. How are you feeling? Are you well enough to travel?
