We found Beckett a few months ago as a 9-month-old stray that was malnourished with a broken leg. I took pity on him, while my husband ranted about not wanting a pet behind me, and he's been with us ever since. He's even won over the heart of my husband (in just a few hours, actually, LOL!). He's a blue-point Siamese and is gorgeous!
I knew a chap when I was a kid who had to have this surgery performed on one leg due to an illness that caused leg-length discrepancy. It worked well and his legs are almost the same length now, but he was in agony for a good couple of years, and he can't do any real exercise now - and of course, his stretched leg is very skinny and a mass of scar tissue.
As you might guess, I know all this because I've considered the surgery myself.
Well, I'm right there with the other ladies! My hair is growing so quickly and thick, but of course on every place but my head! It seems like my husband and I are in competition to see who can grow the most hair! I feel like I should have been one of the characters in the Capital One credit card commercial with Alec Baldwin, I know I would have won!!
He said that the bone will heal by itself without the cast and even with me putting a bit of pressure on it. I am concerned that doing that as well as moving my leg around will mean the bones will move and not knit together the same as if I had a cast on it.
Just hoping the bone will heal properly, if anyone has any knowledge and can assist it'd be appreciated.
If you truly have pain, then you will probably still get them, but they are very easy to get addicted to and will trick your mind into thinking you are in pain just so you take them. Please be careful and in my opinion, start getting off them. If you truly are in pain, there are non-narcotic medications that can help you.

I know this is a long shot, nut I need to start somewhere.
About a month ago, my close friend's daughter fell in a tragic climbing accident in Italy. Her face and leg were badly crushed. She spent several days in a coma. Her nose is unrecognizable. One side of her jaw is broken and doctors here say that it will never heal/fuse. The knee in her broken leg is "collecting water" as they say, and it may heal shorter than the other.
I took them from a cat magazine I get online. Even after reading this, I highly recommend that you take kitty to a vet. Well, here goes:
Step 1: Approach the cat carefully. If your cat is nervous or anxious, restrain the cat if necessary.
Step 2: Do not pinch the affected area. If the cat is stung by a bee, scrape the stinger off immediately with a credit card or dull knife.
Step 3: If the stung area is swollen and hot, apply cortisone cream and hold ice on skin for a short time.
Has anyone else had a wishing well type thing (similar to at a wedding) where people can give cash gifts instead of actual gifts?
Alot of my friends are worried about me getting doubles or stuff i dont like so i thought of having a wishing well so my partner and i can just go out and buy what we need after the shower. People who dont want to give cash can of course still bring a gift if they choose.

today after 70 days of last exposure i got tested for hiv with a card test...doesnt know about the card test so just want to know that how accurate these card results are....is this is a confirmatory test or do i need to go for any other test for confirmation....will appreciate if u help me on this....thnx and please respond....
well she really should see a Vet for xrays to determine if the hip is broken, if this heals wrong she may never get the use of the leg back
but it could also be just badly bruised, perhaps some ligament damage(?) without an xray its hard for me to advise you.
if its only muscle injury, it will heal itself. but if its broken than she will have lasting damage.
I took my son to one of those yu-gi-oh card trading places so he could play his game with others but as I was watching them play and trade cards or made me think well if one of the other kids was infected with hiv or anything and there trading cards with my son then could they spread the hiv by giving my son a card of theirs or by high fiving them?
i don think i have broken my leg because i can walk around.nd when i touch and feel my leg i dont think its broken.htere is easy and free movement just that it is swollen.is it possible to have swellin even if there is no fracture?
in case there is swelling is it wise to imerse my leg in warm water as there are bruises on my leg and getting scared that water might go in.

My 9 month old Pug was recently hit by a car and has a broken pelvis. The vet bill is around $1000.00 and I have been informed by my vet, after the fact, that they do not carry accounts. I am on disability and have 2 children with only my husband working so money is always tight. Does anyone know of any type of funding program or assistance??? I applied for some type of "credit card" at the vet the but was turned down.
