my son had nenmonia which led to ostomialitus and a broken leg. this was all eighteen months ago. he is now 3 and a half years old but still walks with a very stiff leg and can not walk up and down stairs with out putting his hand on his knee to use as a support or for leaverage. he has recovered his muscle lost which happened due to his broken leg. His pediatrition has no answer to this stiffness, walking issue...

It feels like iv done something more then just bruise or twist it because its gradually getting worse, iv broken my leg before and it kinda feels like that. Im a lifeguard and am worried that this is affecting my work, also soeone at work suggested i might have injured my 'scaphoid bone' (spelt wrong) does this sound possible?

My 6 yr old female cat jumped from a tree branch about 5 ft high. She is always jumping up onto ledges or down from them, she jumps very high, always climbing trees, etc. Anyway, her front paw is now swollen and she will not walk on it, she limps all around. She does not seem to be in pain, she still goes up and down the steps and jumps on and off the furniture and beds, going to the food dish etc.

i don think i have broken my leg because i can walk around.nd when i touch and feel my leg i dont think its broken.htere is easy and free movement just that it is swollen.is it possible to have swellin even if there is no fracture? in case there is swelling is it wise to imerse my leg in warm water as there are bruises on my leg and getting scared that water might go in. Hi, My 12-14 year old beagle (we adopted her, so don't know her exact age) fell down our stairs Sunday. Basically, I was carrying her down before we went out and I fell down the stairs with her. Sunday night she walked a little slow, but mostly she just looked like she was sore, and seeing how I felt, I didn't blame her. Yesterday, her walking was pretty much back to normal, but I noticed her tail was constantly between her legs, hung down.

I was in a half cast, basically on the back of my leg and below the foot for a touch over a week, so I was unable to move my ankle and leg and was on crutches. Then 2 days ago I went to the outpatients department and the doc took the cast off me and told me to start walking on it with the aid of crutches as it isn't the weight bearing bone. He said that the bone will heal by itself without the cast and even with me putting a bit of pressure on it.

I recently had an injury where I didn't roll my ankle or think I did any other damage but when standing up afetr sliding on a slip n slide I had excruciating pain. Swelling started right away and now it is impossible to walk. It feels as though my foot wants to seperate between the middle and ring toe. X rays are negative but something is going on because the swelling after two days is still increasing. At this point my foot has ballooned outrageous.

s my story , i had a broken tibia and fibula as well i was trying tio help a female from getting beaten by his boyfriend , it was slippery oitside my right leg went forward and my left leg went backwards and my big ***( lol ) landed on top of my ankle and distored my ankle and broke my tibia and fibula , i went to the hospital where i stayed two nights then on monday i had to go see the bone doctor at the other hosiptal and told me that your fracture was a bad one .

I had a hair follicle on my lower leg that was inflammed and appeared that the hair was starting to ingrow. I then removed the hair without breaking the skin and thought that the follicle would settle down. However 2 days later the srea has become swollen and inflammed amd very sore to touch. I was diagnosed with graves disease in 2002, but my thyroid levels have balanced out and and I am no longer taking PCU. I take Fentenyl patches for chronic pain lupus IC rhem arthritis osteoporosis and 5 herniated disc I need two need two replacements and just had surgery for a broken leg I use MSIR for breakthrough pain and am able to function without the meds I would not get out of bed or be able to function. DO you think this regimeine under a doctors supervision is a good one for pain control or do you have a better suggestion?

the doc that found the RSD after my broken foot was the same doc I saw for the broken foot...he was a orthopedic doc.

Has anyone broken their pelvis during pregnancy? I broke mine in a car accident years ago and never had any problems with my first baby. This baby dropped at 28wks and my dr says he is almost certain this baby has broken it again. I'm scheduled for csection next week, which is a huge relief with the pain, but he said it could take 6-12wks to heal. Was wondering what other peoples experience was? Did it get better after delivery?
