About two days ago I noticed a bruise on my left leg, upper inner thigh area. Then a day later in gym class I notice about 5 other significant bruises on my inner left leg going all the way down towards the ankle. They hurt when I touch them, and I do not recollect doing anything that would cause this streak of purple bruises. There are no bruises on my right leg.
I was in a half cast, basically on the back of my leg and below the foot for a touch over a week, so I was unable to move my ankle and leg and was on crutches. Then 2 days ago I went to the outpatients department and the doc took the cast off me and told me to start walking on it with the aid of crutches as it isn't the weight bearing bone.
He said that the bone will heal by itself without the cast and even with me putting a bit of pressure on it.
I put ice on it for 20 minutes and kept the leg elevated during this time. The pain was localized to the area of the broken skin. A few days later, a scab formed where the skin was broken, and although the area still hurt when pressed, I had no problems walking, jogging or swimming.
Five days after the injury though, my left knee cap began to hurt. There was even a tingling sensation from above the knee cap down to the shin (left lateral).
Help! I'm at my wits end. Im 27 and I have been dealing with leg pain for the last 16 years. When it first started (the age I first remember,11 ) I took a short walk it went away. Now nothing I do works anymore. long/short walks, stretching, resting, hot bath/jacuzzi no longer works. No doctor will prescribe pain killers (which is only thing that provided temp relief) them to me because they dont believe me.
Fibula and i had a Titanium rod put in with four screws this happened on the 26th of July 2009 and the surgery was the same day my leg hurts and so does my knee i cant bend it all the way like normal what i am to expect of this I'm young and scared what the out come it going to be please anyone who has had this type of surgery or knows anything about it comment and let me know anything you know

Over the last two years she has put on considerable weight which is making her depressed, she has also recently broken her leg and is finding it really hard to manage on the crutches because of her weight. Is there any regime she can follow to try and reduce her weight. When fit she does swim once a week and also attends Bokwa classes.
my ankle will become red and swell up like its broken and feels like its broken !this will last usually until i figure out what i had eaten that had soy beans or peanuts and stop eating it then a few days to a week pain would start to fade.. the ankle will then feel weak and sore for up to a month.. sometimes the illness attacks just one ankle other times its my whole leg and a really bad attack envolves both ankles kness and legs and sometimes hips and lower back....

Has anyone broken their pelvis during pregnancy? I broke mine in a car accident years ago and never had any problems with my first baby. This baby dropped at 28wks and my dr says he is almost certain this baby has broken it again. I'm scheduled for csection next week, which is a huge relief with the pain, but he said it could take 6-12wks to heal. Was wondering what other peoples experience was? Did it get better after delivery?

he is now 3 and a half years old but still walks with a very stiff leg and can not walk up and down stairs with out putting his hand on his knee to use as a support or for leaverage.

Has anyone broken their Tibia and fibia? I broke mine two years ago and am still having problems. I have a plate and eleven screws. I am thinking of having them taken out in the hopes that it will releive some of the discomfort. Any information from someone who has done this would be great.
I would also try to straighten it out throughout the day by putting it in my left pant leg between my pants and my leg. Anyway... it still works fine now it just has a slight curvature to the left. My question is could there still be complications associated with the fracture or do you think I'm fine? Also do you think it's possible that my penis did not fully develop to it's full potential size due to the fracture?
Tibia is the shin bone that bears most of the weight and the Fibula is the splint bone located on the outside of the lower leg. In the case of a closed fracture there may be swelling and discolouration due to the large amounts of blood that emanate from a fractured bone.
The usual healing time for a mid-shaft Tibia and Fibula fracture treated with cast immobilisation is 12 to 16 weeks.
Hi about a year ago while i was doing jumping jacks i pulled a muscle in my left leg now i have a pain in my inner groin, when i step a certain way or try to do any jumping exercises.
The usual period for healing is around 6-8 weeks, but lower leg fractures take a little more to recover. The initial one week period is also taken into account.
Follow up is advised every two weeks to see whether alignment is proper or not. In case of misalignment found at any point of treatment surgery might be necessary.

In 2019 bolt came out in right leg and lodged so I could straighten leg, needed a revision had it done. In July 2022 left leg started swelling bolt came out and floating around, had a revision in October 2022! Last Saturday woke up to go to the bathroom couldn't straighten leg couldn't walk very painful, the bolt came out AGAIN 6 months after it was done and the threads were stripped on the bolt and it broke into pieces. Had a revision last week got home yesterday 5/5/23.
My poor Leo, his front left leg and paw are very swollen! The story goes like this...
About a week ago he took a fall from our room while chasing squirles., Well the LEG was slightly swollen for just a little while. Maybe day and half. but then he was fine. walking,jumping, and chasing those dang squirles again. lol
I thought he was fine. Well today I get home from work and his poor leg and paw r so swollen. Im afraid he has broken it.
