136849 tn?1327321510 Hello ladies, I am still actually awaiting to hear what my new chemo cocktail will be used this second go around, but it sounds like it might be the carboplatin/gemzar combo. First time I had the Carboplatin/Taxotere, but since 2006 I've had constant lower leg achiness and problems, and oncologist told me that due to these neurapathy problems they won't use the taxotere again.
Avatar f tn I understand I cannot get anything without broken skin but. I had an experience at a weird themed cocktail bar. With a domina. She used a whipping type thing on my back I had no shirt on. it stung a bit. Would I know if it had broken the skin beyond just redness? Shorts on whole time. Was only red for 3 days. They said they disinfect these things. Thanks.
Avatar m tn I was in a half cast, basically on the back of my leg and below the foot for a touch over a week, so I was unable to move my ankle and leg and was on crutches. Then 2 days ago I went to the outpatients department and the doc took the cast off me and told me to start walking on it with the aid of crutches as it isn't the weight bearing bone. He said that the bone will heal by itself without the cast and even with me putting a bit of pressure on it.

572651 tn?1530999357 Sitting here having just had a gram of solumedrol pumped into me and now having my tysabri cocktail. I asked to se the NP because my right leg has decided it would stop working correctly and was just along for the ride- step, drag, step, drag was my recent gait. Definitely in need of steroids to kick start the healing but a quick dip also shows I have a UTI. That's the first one in at least 18 months.

Avatar f tn My naturopath mentioned to me that she is certified to infuse this cocktail to help with cog fog and vitamin deficiencies. She said that she has MS patients who go in for it every month. I haven't found much info on it for MS and was wondering if anyone has tried it? It seems to take a few infusions before any change is noted and it isn't covered by my health plan but if I knew of folks who benefited from it, it might be worth the extra money. Thanks!

Avatar f tn Hi ..right leg broken severly after 7 months no improvement in bone..
1542537 tn?1293207098 Hi, broken bones take a varying amount of time to heal, mostly depending upon the type of bone broken, the age of the person, and the way in which the bone is broken. Larger broken bones, for example the bones in the thigh, or both bones of leg would take a great deal longer to heal, usually six weeks to three months in the average healthy adult. Begin physical therapy as soon as is practical. That will help.
Avatar f tn Has anyone broken their pelvis during pregnancy? I broke mine in a car accident years ago and never had any problems with my first baby. This baby dropped at 28wks and my dr says he is almost certain this baby has broken it again. I'm scheduled for csection next week, which is a huge relief with the pain, but he said it could take 6-12wks to heal. Was wondering what other peoples experience was? Did it get better after delivery?

Avatar f tn Has anyone broken their Tibia and fibia? I broke mine two years ago and am still having problems. I have a plate and eleven screws. I am thinking of having them taken out in the hopes that it will releive some of the discomfort. Any information from someone who has done this would be great.
Avatar m tn I would also try to straighten it out throughout the day by putting it in my left pant leg between my pants and my leg. Anyway... it still works fine now it just has a slight curvature to the left. My question is could there still be complications associated with the fracture or do you think I'm fine? Also do you think it's possible that my penis did not fully develop to it's full potential size due to the fracture?
Avatar n tn Tibia is the shin bone that bears most of the weight and the Fibula is the splint bone located on the outside of the lower leg. In the case of a closed fracture there may be swelling and discolouration due to the large amounts of blood that emanate from a fractured bone. The usual healing time for a mid-shaft Tibia and Fibula fracture treated with cast immobilisation is 12 to 16 weeks.
Avatar m tn Hello Bagman, Welcome to the Pain Management Forum of MedHelp. I am glad you found us. And OW, your leg condition sounds very painful. I am sorry you are having such discomfort. We all wish for the magic pill, at least I certainly do. If it is ever discovered the inventor will be a millionaire. Sandee has a good point, it could be a nerve problem, either in your leg or knee. The sensation of burning is often associated with a nerve condition.
