931217 tn?1283484935 Today's popular press often extols the supposed virtues of more "natural" ways of living, and approaching illness. There are a wide variety of theories and modalities, that together make up the broad category known as "complementary and alternative medicine (and veterinary medicine)." These approaches to health and disease are not monolithic and therefore their merits or lack thereof cannot be discussed as a category. Each must be examined alone.
Avatar f tn Perhaps their bodies aren't actually trying to break down the aspartame and ignoring actual sugars. Perhaps instead, their blood sugar levels are not kept where they were prior to switching to diet soda and so they are unconsciously consuming more food that probably has more calories in it than the soda would have had in it.
Avatar n tn she was later diagnosed with Type 2 diabete (1997) and again was later diagnosed with chronic Hep B (2000) which required treatment/hospitalization, and she is still taking medication for Hep B. I don't know what the chemical name of the medication at this moment (everything is in brandname in Chinese). My concern/question: She is very fragile and is evidently underweight (5ft 3in, weighs under 90 lb).
Avatar f tn I am an O +, and follow closely the O Blood Type food plan. Only problem I have is so little control over the increased work load & stress as a teacher. I have plans to retire in 2 years and 30 weeks to be more in control of the stress. Until then, I will have to endure the pain -possible Fibro. Avatar n tn Sugar and salt can also increase the excretion of both calcium and oxalate in the urine, you should definitely limit, if not completely eliminate, sugar and refined carbohydrates from your diet, and cut back on salt. The other type of stones are uric acid kidney stones. Cutting back your intake of animal protein while increasing bulk and fiber in your diet can help prevent them from forming.

Avatar f tn I found the book and copied the information: "Ultraviolet blood irradiation therapy is said to improve oxygenation of tissue, help with inflammation, stimulate immune system and fight viral infection. This treatment, which has been approved by the FDA consists of bombaring the blood with ultraviolet light. It appears to render the virus inactive. This treatment is offered by Bradford Research Institute in Chula Vista, CA." I have no idea how long it takes or what it costs.
Avatar n tn Simple question here, has anyone ever had a negative blood test and negative urine test and went on with their daily routine and a month or so later found out you were in fact pregnant while having ultrasound done. If this has happened to anyone or perhaps someone you know, please respond, I'd appreciate the information. Thanks.
Avatar n tn Intake of too much caffeine can increase the risk of blood clotting and miscarriage. A diet rich in folic acid, B vitamins, and iron from fruits, vegetables, beans and supplements is beneficial. Lose weight if you are overweight. Indulge in exercise plan. I sincerely hope it helps. Avatar m tn This is absolutely a myth. There is no cure for Type 1 diabetes. Type 1 diabetics produce insufficient insulin and need insulin to live. People want easy answers and for Type 1 diabetes there aren't any - not yet anyway. There are many types of natural treatments that are said to help Type 2 diabetes. Perhaps they do. But nothing helps as much as reducing carbs, losing weight and getting regular exercise.
Avatar f tn The fungal forms are usually quite obvious as plant-like structures quite unlike the other normal blood constituents, but unfortunately most physicians do not do this type of simple test. Other tests rely on antibody testing of serum. Diet is very important in systemic fungal infections. All processed sugar must be removed from the diet as well as other changes to limit fungal growth. There are diets available on the internet (as well as some suggestions on our website, immed.

709686 tn?1277435759 If it is Type 1 Diabetes, you are somehow born with a weak pancreas or abnormal hormone system which causes the lack of insulin production. Random questions I answered for (beware this site is R rated just like me!) What kind of thyroid cancer were you diagnosed with? How many years have you been a survivor? Avatar n tn There is evidence that cholesterol is not related to heart disease. Read "The Cholesterol Myth" by Uffe Raskonov or go to to see an alternative viewpoint to the lipid hypothesis. I don't worry about cholesterol levels because I don't believe it is related to heart disease; what is related is insulin, which is a very powerful hormone. I eat a 100% carnivorous diet - no vegetation whatsoever - and I am in peak condition.
Avatar f tn I also use specific key suppements of high quality. The only really bad form of cholesterol a sub-type of LDL comes from carbs, so a low carb diet helps. I also mention low carb diet for Fibro in a thread a started last year* ACV (apple cider vinegar) the raw unfiltered type is good for HBP. I keep active doing low impact exercise, walking , biking, hiking, low to medium weight training, stretching, gentle bouncing on trampoline etc.

Definitely try these simple natural steps first. You can meld all this information with eating for your right blood type.

I recommend that you follow up on this with a dermatologist for a further work up. If you need help with your herpes blood test results feel free to post them here.
