576132 tn?1226975773 I am sexually active, I usually take BC pills, but recently I have been on a very strict diet for the past 5 weeks, I haven't been eating more than 500 calories a day. I stopped taking my birthcontroll because they make you gain weight and i thought that a baby probably wouldnt be able to grow in a body with such little nutrients because I've been eatiing so little.

Avatar f tn But there is no real scientific evidence to support a link between your health as a consequence of compatibility between your blood type and your diet. It's all conjecture... I'll toot my own horn and say that I'm pretty well versed in genetics and anthropology (both medical and human-evolutionary), and to be honest most of the scientific claims made on the website aren't really plausible... at all. They're quite outlandish, actually.
Avatar n tn I have been drinking Diet Coke since I was diagnosed with Type I several years ago and it has not appeared to raise my blood sugar, but it is now the only explanation I can find. I am going to try to stop drinking it to see what happens in the meantime, but this will be extremely hard since I usually drink about 16 ounces a day. I just would like to know if Diet Coke (or any other diet soda) has raised anyone else's blood sugar levels.
Avatar n tn I had to have a physical from my own doctor who had to sign some paper work from GHI and I had to have a blood test as specified from GHI Medical. I followed the 500 calorie diet religiously. I had plenty of energy to exercise which I did 5 - 6 aerobic work outs and 3 weight training work outs. I am a personal trainer and I was having an extremely frustrating time loosing weight after the birth of my 3rd child. Yes, I washed my hair and conditioned it.

338416 tn?1420049302 For those of you who have wondered about the MS Diet, whether it's the MS Recovery Diet or the Swank diet, you'll need to read this article. The author says that there's no MS diet that has been proven to help prevent disease progression. http://www.nationalmssociety.org/download.aspx?id=1371 Research has shown that excluding anything from your diet is a bad idea - unless you're actually allergic to the ingredient. So what should you eat? To summarize the article...

Avatar f tn in fact, i will soon not even be taking thyroid meds and managing the disease by diet. Get a T3 blood test. Get tested for gluten intolerence. Do some research on Hashimoto and you will find this is nothing like any other type of thyroid disease. it is more of an auto immune disease. Hope this helps. Believe it or not Hashimoto is the most misdiagnosed thyroid disease and MOST medical doctors (even your endocrenoligist may not know how to properly deal with this disease.
1434731 tn?1382725984 Well I have read and heard about doing this but I'm **** it my own way. Pcos diet is basically eat a big breakfast, medium lunch and small dinner. I am doing that but I'm doing it like this. Larger breakfast with carbs Medium lunch with light to no carbs Small dinner with no or very little (cuz sometimes you can avoid it) carbs. I like the low carb diet but its to hard to do living with my pizza and carb loving hubby!

Avatar n tn I'm also diagnosed type II diabetes, but no meds or symptoms. Diet and Exercise with some supplements has given me consistently good tests. For all these conditions, I still feel just fine every day. If I didn't know I had them, I wouldn't know I had them! Any comments appreciated.

1232362 tn?1333139006 My cat is a 12 year old spayed female who has ever had a health issue and at this point we'll find out tomorrow if she actually has an infection in her bladder/urinary tract or if it's just the sandy-type crystals causing her terrible discomfort and spasming; tomorrow based on her urine culture I'll be picking up either an antibiotic or antispasmotic. What best results has anyone gotten w/the "raw diet" (and specifics, please!!) vs other brand-name foods.
Avatar n tn This milking exercise forces blood into the penis, repeatedly engorging the penis with blood. Over the course of several months, the blood spaces in the penis became larger, being able to hold more blood, which in return makes their penis larger. Over a period of several years, some of the men's penises became larger than 18" in length and 10" in circumference. No doubt if we all had this type of treatment as a child, we would all be quite well endowed.
Avatar n tn ) plus they caused a delayed but significant rise in blood sugars. *Except* erythritol which does not seem to effect my blood sugar and doesn't cause GI problems for me, and bakes well, but it's a bit tricky to substitute for sugar because it's SO sweet and you need so little you have to figure out what to substitute for volume. 4939681 tn?1361302899 I would lay down, the nurse would take my blood pressure it would be normal. I stood up and my blood pressure dropped dangerously low, about 30 points less which caused me to pass out or become very dizzy in less than a minute. Not sure if yours is like that but I would say Lyme does have an effect on BP because of all the people I know that have that. In my non medical opinion.
Avatar m tn alts asts in the 20s....really good to hear your diet, anyone should eat a pretty good diet and mess up once in a while, that's life too! lol...and it makes it easier to keep your diet when you know that you can mess up once in great while! Avatar f tn There are many conflicting views out there and as I am on a block and replace medication I go from Hyper to Hypo quite often so I will need a specialist diet drawn up for me. In the meantime I have ordered a weekly delivery of organic meats and veg and have drawn up some kind of plan below as to what I can and can't eat. Does anyone have any comments please??? is it useful for any of you out there?? Any medical person able to verify if I am on the right track??? many thanks.
Avatar n tn Also, I looked up folk remedies for acid reflux and learned about apple cider vinager. I have supplemented ACV into my diet and have not seen blood traces in months, although I still feel symptoms...but I suppose it's something a person has to learn to live with.

446335 tn?1223951956 A recent pre-op blood test showed a blood sugar level of 139. My doctor had me do the 2-hr. glucose tolerance test today. Don't have the results yet but the blood sugar test they did initially showed a level of 140. I know both of those put me into the category of diabetic. Runs in the family BTW, father managed blood sugar with Glucotrol. So what can I expect?
88793 tn?1290230777 I think it is impossible for 2 cups of white coffee without sugar can raise the blood sugar so much! Just too scare to do another blood glucose test. Any one has those experience or come across those symptoms? Could some one give me an idea what should I do next?
