The medication prescribed to me is Avapro HCT 150mg/12.5mg (Irbesartan and hydrochlorothiazide) taken once daily (1 tablet) mainly to help ensure the blood pressure remains under 140 systolic, which is believed to help reduce the pressure on the aorta and root. I am booked in for a second opinion with another cardiologist next week mainly to re-assure myself and my wife (and kids) that things are chugging along okay.
I'm not diabetic, at least not yet anyway.
But, unfortunately, I do drink a lot of soda and have done so for a long time. And, in the past when I've tried to stop cold-turkey, I often have episodes of low blood sugar (shakes, sweats, confusion), so I end up back drinking sodas for fear of having another episode.
ijust started taking pills for thriods (synthriod)and high blood presuer (avapro)about a mounth now. so just wandring if this can cause me to have lows like this. and would like to know what would happen if you go to low like a coma and no one is around to help a person to get out of a low thats realy bad. thankyou.
he gave me toprol xl 50 mg. and my bp and pulse still goes high sometimes but for the most part it made a huge difference.and of course he told me to watch my salt intake,caffeine,and niccotine,i'm not a doctor but my opinion from my experiences it may not be a major concern right now,but still a concern especially if it stays that high for long periods of time.so i would atleast try to get meds for it.
we are actually healthy persons because hbv makes no damage to us, only few patients have strong immune system damaging liver and that is only the liver nothing else of the body...so tdf on hbv studies has 1% of kidneys issues on hbv carriers already having these issues before tdf start
if your kidneys are fine from the start, very high creatinine clearance, you ll have no issues.
I'm 34 weeks and my kidneys are just killing me. I went to the bath room this morning and I had to pee so bad but it was like I was blocked off. I had a uti already with this pregnancy and I don't think that's what it is. The doc confirmed that I had got rid of it. Does anyone possibly know why my kidneys could be hurting so bad.
I have been using Norco and othe opiods for about 1 year. Today i decided that it was a good idea to stop. I was only able to score 7.5/750 and i took alot over the last few days. Something is not right and i have alot of lower back pain. This is rough. The withdrawals i am coping with xanax and ultram but to np avail. Should i see a doc? Is the back pain normal?
Im being admited to the hospital cause one of my sons kidneys are larger than the other and he has fluid in his tummy, im only 34weeks and they may or may not keep him inside me. Has anyone had this problem? How can this happen to him? Im so sad about this:( my poor baby something can happen to him they said.

I'm nearly 9 weeks pregnant and in pain with my kidneys is this normal?
I have no idea how this will all play out. I did start googling Lyme and Kidneys and found a case study of someone with Lyme with such poor kidney function, the poor person had to go on dialysis for 5 months. They dubbed it "Lyme nephritis." The good news is the patient had an "excellent outcome." I don't know if that means the patient survived, or the patient fully recovered or something in between Hard to know what doctor parlance is.
So I know what the pain feels like, and with my first pregnancy I got one bad kidney infection that I actually thought was me going into labor, until I got to the hospital and found out it was my kidneys. This pregnancy my kidney seems to always feel swollen. Especially once I start feeling like I have to pee. I can hardly get comfortable laying down because of it. I've never had kidney stones and would hope to not ever get them.
m pregnant again...I have been having unbearable back pain and so I mentioned it to my doctor and he said it doesn't sound muscular because heat, massage and stretching isn't helping, he said it could be something wrong with my kidneys, he got a urine test & blood work ordered which I will find out next week the results...has anyone experienced anything like this? Not sure if it's pregnancy related or not but the pain has only started for the last week...
I had a CT Scan recently and found out that I have focal cortical thinning in the lateral upper pole of the right kidney can you tell me what exactly does that mean??
So I searched in the app world that could help me show the doctor that my BP readings are consistent and I am active, sleep well and eat low salt food. After some research I found this android app called "jivayu" (https://www.jivayu.com), start logging my BP and also wore the activity tracker from Jawbone.
It creates a chart of my BP, activity, sleep and salt intake in a single page. So when I took the chart to the doctor, he noticed the consistency in my numbers.
