I have a sinus infection and was prescribed a Z pack and it didn't really help. I went back and got prescribed augmentin. I have been taking it for 3 days and now i have a pretty bad nasal drip going on in the back of my throat. I also have panic disorder and pretty much need to know that I am okay all the time. Is this normal? Is there a possibility of something awful happening from a nasal drip?

I was diagnosed with step and put on a z-pack. My throat is swollen and sore, I can barely swallow. I have also noticed a large pus pocket right next to my uvula.
It's been 3 days and I haven't gotten better at all. Is there anything else a doctor can give me to try and get the pus pocket and sore throat to go away?

I see a lot of people asking about z pack curing chlamydia/gonorrhea and the common response is “It has to be 1g at once to work.” I’m confused by this. 1 g is 1,500mg. The typical z pack is 1,500mg total over the course of 5 days. 500mg on day one and then 250mg the next four days. So my question is, why would it HAVE to be 1,000mg of z pack at once to work rather than also 1,500 over 5 days?
He put me on a z-pack antibiotic. So this past week I went back because I am still coughing A LOT and I still feel like I have an infection. He listened to my lungs, gave me a breathing treatment and sent me for a chest x-ray. That was on Monday, since then (today being Friday) my coughing has increased and I am having bad pain in my ribs/lungs. He put me on Augmentin for 10 days, plus a precscription antacid. He thought I had "Silent Reflux".......meaning I have no heartburn or any other symptoms, but that the acid was skipping my stomach and going to my throat, basically. This did not work. I was diagnosed with walking pneumonia two weeks ago. I was given Z Pack. I took it. It seemed to work for a couple of days then the symptoms returned. Doctor gave me another Z Pack. Same thing. It worked for a couple of days and then the mychoplasma returned.

Was prescribed a Z Pack taken in the 500mg first day followed by one 250 a day for respritory issue. NO change in penial symptoms. Along Ive had diarhhea for four months since this began. Never any discharge except a miniscule amount of clear one time. After a while the penile symptoms subcided. Went to doctor for the urine and diarrhea. He ran stool and urine sample which were ok. My question:
1 is are these typical urethritis symptoms?
I took her to the clinic to get tested and they ruled out BV even thought her family doctor assumed it was that. They insist that she has chlamydia and she gave it to me. They gave her a Z pack as well. Im just worried because i took my z pack on tuesday and im still having discharge. I have read that the risk of contracting an STD is low and that I should get tested, but is there anything that can be gained medically by taking a z-pack to try and prevent an STD from taking hold in my system? I was very sick in December and was prescribed a five day dose of azithromycin in the form of a Z-Pack. I was recently told by someone I had sex with that they tested positive for gonorrhea. I recently had sinusitis and the doctor put me on Z-Pac. The Z-Pac didn't work and he put me on Augmentin. I finished all my antibiotics 6 days ago. Yesterday I noticed that I had a little white dried skin at the tip of my penis and the area was red. Additionally I have a small red dot that is white in the middle around the same area. I don't feel any difference down there and the only reason I noticed was because I was washing myself in the shower.

I had the same experience for 5 years, and I took, on different occasions, Levaquin, a Z-pack, and Augmentin. Awesome antiobiotics indeed, they killed every pathogen in my body except several in my sinuses, which grew back immediately.
According to Mayo Clinic research, sinus infections don't follow the regular model of tissue infection. I've borne out that research with a sinus flush that washes out the infected mucus, and I am on my 5th year of clear sinuses.

So I went to the doctor cause I thought I was getting pneumonia and the Doc had me do a PFT (which was low at 70 percent) and a blood O2 test (94 percent) and said that I had bronchitis and put me on some prednisone and a z-pack. After I finshed my meds I still felt the same. So I set up another appointment and right before I went in I started to feel better but my tests only showed I improved ten percent.
