was aware I had the seizure problem and prescribed cipro, which I had to call and tell them to send me something different. The one at the pharmacy now is Augmentin. Just need a neurologist`s expert opinion as to whether or not it is alright to take Augmentin with my myoclonic seizure condition. Do not want to start up any seizures. However, this UTI is hurting so badly!!! If It is too risky then I can`t take it!!!! Please help me.

I am desperately seeking answers to my 7 yr old son's problems. About 8 weeks ago, he started complaining of tummy ache after school. Within a couple of days, he also started having headaches always on his forehead. The ped. put him on Amoxycillin due to a possible sinus infection. He also had bloodwork done and his T4 and TSH came at borderline. He responded to the Amox. for a few days and the headaches returned.
Has anyone else had to take Cephalexin while pregnant? I'm 19 weeks and taking 3 pills a day for a week for an infection on my toe. I'm a big worry wart as this is my first pregnancy and I'm wondering if anyone else has taken it or had any problems.
I'm 11 weeks pregnant and I was diagnosed with a UTI. I was prescribed cephalexin at the hospital I went to. I was told to take it 4 times a day for 7 days. Will this effect my baby? I'm unsure. I'm not allergic to any medications. Please let me know if any of you have had the same concerns.

I was wondering if anyone else has taken Augmentin. I was prescribed it for a double ear infection. Originally I was given acetic acid drops but they aren't working.
I plan on calling my OB in the morning to double check. They are pregnancy category B. Although they are thought to be safe not many studies have been done on them. I'm nervous about everything. This is my first pregnancy and I am only 18.

I have been on two different antibiotics -- cephalexin and ??? (might have been doxycycline) for infection, in Oct. and Dec.. I am very fatigued. After eight hours of sleep I feel like I maybe had three or four despite not waking up all night. I have had a ct scan of my neck which was negative, although one gland was borderline in size, appearing on the large side.
My doctor has run blood tests for monospot, cat-scratch fever, cbc w/diff, epstein-barr, and four other tests I no longer recall.
I was put on a mild bacteria killer but this had no effects on the staph, so my DR. placed me on the stronger cephalexin and after a bit, everything seemingly went away. However, I also began to notice a little bit of discomfort around my anus, mostly when flexing my sphincter or with a bit of pressure, but not when using the toilet. I also noticed that my inner thigh area became somewhat itchy when wearing tight clothing or when my legs would rub together.
My dog was taking cephalexin. After a couple of days she started acting tired not eating. Then she had 5 seizures they were six hrs apart. Took her to the vet they put her on phenobarbital 2 pills twice a day. Seizures have stopped, but she cannot walk very good her rear end doesn't work right, all she does is sleep, her eyes are red a puffy. I asked the vet if she could be allergic to cephalexin. She said she didn't think this drug could cause a seizure.
t want to take the Clindamycin because it made me so ill, he prescribed Cephalexin. Does anybody know anything about this drug? I looked it up and it said it is similar to penicillen. Will it work since the penicillen didn't? Sorry to sound so paranoid, but my dentist is not very easy to talk to about this and I am so scared. I hate when people/doctors think you're exaggerating. Believe me, I want to find a drug that will take care of this! Then maybe the pain will go away!
I had unprotected vaginal intercourse w/ my girlfriend in the days before I became symptomatic. My girlfriend had been taking cephalexin 4 times a day from 2/24 until a day or so ago (she had a minor dental procedure and was prescribed the cephalexin I'm assuming to prevent infection). After he told me I have been watching my self closely and I have some cephalexin 500mg that the doctor gave me for an urine tract infection about 9-10 months ago and I have 2 refills, should I get them refilled and start treating myself until I can get to the doctor. I've called and they don't have anything available till the end of this month. I've been to the free clinic three times and they are so crowded I can never get seen.

4 days on augmentin 825 for a chronic dental infection (now a bone infection), I started having major swelling in my hands. This is new, I've never had swelling like this. Yesterday my one hand looked freakishly red and swollen. It was so swollen, that when I straightened out my hand (which was difficult), everything turned white, inbetween the redness.
Anyway, I tried going off the augmentin (I'm taking it in conjunction with clindamycin), and today I feel much less swollen.
I told the doctor that this particular medication had done nothing for my issue previously, but they refused to look into anything other than herpes. Third time I went to the ER and was given Cephalexin for a bacterial infection. I was also in so much pain they gave me Dilaudid. Cephalexin cleared up all symptoms in about a day and I continued taking it until the pills ran out. Literally 2 days after I ran out of Cephalexin the symptoms have returned.
Suggested me antibiotic for 10 days.The name is CEPHALEXIN 500 mg twice a day.Is this safe?? ..I am really worried.I am in pain these days.Not able to sit,stand or sleep.Plz help!!!
