m pregnant with my first baby I have been having a pain just under my ribs right in the middle for about a week now and down near my appendix has a ultrasound to make sure it wasn't serious but they didn't check the top of my belly just under my ribs and I'm still having this pain I'm only 6 weeks anyone know what It could be ?
I'm 13.2 weeks pregnant & I have pain on on my right side by my ribs is this normal ?
I've had the same pain for weeks now and was worried about it. The only way to ease it is lay on my right side. My doctor said it cld be my gallbladder. Check to see if there is any foods that triggers it. If not he said it cld just be how the baby is positioned. But if it is ur gall bladder they can't so anything till baby is out. So ease it the best u can. BTW its not ur belly stretching.
Also, I would ask for a blood test to rule out appendicitis, sometimes this can be a sign of beginning appendicitis, you certainly do not want it to get worse.
My son, age 9, has had recurrent bouts of pain in his ribs. Each episode consists of a sharp pain in the same spot on his ribs, dark eyes, fatigue, and a fever of around 101 degrees. Each episode lasts for 2-4 days. He has had seven episodes: 05/2011, 12/2011, 05/2012, 08/2012, 09/2012, 10/2012, 11/2012. During an episode it hurts to laugh or breathe deeply. The episodes are becoming more frequent, and this last episode has continued for longer than normal.

My boyfriend has severe pain in his right side. he has been to the hospital several times. at first they thought it might be appendicitis, they removed his appendix, but turns out it wasnt that at all. At that time he stayed at the hospital over a month and got really depressed there. Anyway he still has this pain. His symptoms are Long burps, constant pain on the right side which radiates to the back aswell. When he had his appendix removed they did key-hole surgery for this.
I went to the ER several months ago for severe pain in my lower right abdomen, along with uncontrollable diarrhea and vomiting. When in the ER, they did a pelvic exam to rule out PID, and were going to do an ultrasound to rule out appendicitis but decided not to when my bloodwork came back and my white blood cell count was only slightly elevated.
I have had a dull pain below my ribs for 5 days that feels like hunger but doesn't go away when I eat! It began with intense pressure but now is only annoying, and I don't want to over eat. I have a dull pain that started a week ago. I will expierence the pain for a whole day off and on then I won't feel it for days on end. It's in my upper right side under my ribs. I have an appointment this Wed but any help on what this could be would be great. Nothing in particular triggers the pain, food drink activity etc.
I suggest seeing Doctor for blood work and pain medication. I ended up in the emergency due to length of constant pain. I am right now having a flair up but I know more on what to do. Bed, short breaths and rest. 3 days it moved to left side and is now gone. Part of the disease. I guess. Remember call your doctor and be smart, not like me.
Exercise makes it more worse and even sitting in the car because the belly touches the belt and also it presses. Even if gas is passed the pain gets 10% better but still the pain is out there. I don't eat spicy, no tomato sauce or greasy food. I know it will get worse. Sometimes feel like muscular problem but not sure whether its muscular or gall bladder.
my husband went to hospital had a lot of pain said he had kidney stones and treated him for them, then right after that he has had savere pain in his shoulders cant even lift his arms hasnt done anything to cause injury. know one can tell us whats going on have had him back to hospital and dr 7 times took a lot of blood work founf=d he has a high level of inflammation in his muscels help what is wrong with him?
It now seems a little swollen where the pain is (right where your ribs start to curve up to form around the diaphragm). I have had almost constant diarrhea or pasty b.m. for many months now. I had my gallbladder removed 20 yrs. ago. It is very tender to the touch, and if I do a lot of activity (walking around a mall, etc) it REALLY starts hurting. I do drink alcohol and have acid reflux. I am very seriously considering going to a doctor, but I have no health insurance and already have many dr.
They said that if I was still in pain within the next 2 days, then to come back in. So, the pain got worse and more frequent within the next 2 days. Naturally, we went back in. This time, they were certain it was my appendix. They even called down a surgeon to examine me, and he was certain it was my appendix. He said that they had to do the CT scan first, just in case. So they did the CT scan, and they couldn't find one thing wrong with my appendix.
m a 19 year male college student, and I have had this problem for several years. At random moments, usually pretty rarely, I will get a sudden, sharp pain in the lower right area of my abdomen. It will cause me to panic for the brief second that it lasts (i'll clutch it etc..), because it feels really severe. It always goes away though, and since it's been a problem I've had for a long time, I don't really think it's a big issue.
Last month around July 25th 2009, i started experiencing lower left pain in ny stomach. It is very sharp pain. It is a little left and lower of my belly. I've had lots of tests, going to the emergency room a lot... I had a laproscopy and systoscopy. They took my appendix out but it still hurts. It would hurt for a few days then feel better then hurt again. On a scale to 1-10, the pain usually reaches 8-9 and Im screaming in pain. They did lots of blood tests and stuff that I dont know of.
